Review House Of Bamboo - Campbelltown

Hung up on when calling as their menu has inadequate description.. " professional omelette " ok what's in it? Lol. " French style chicken "? But to hang up on potential customers is ludicrous and tantamount to going out of business.. try elsewhere.. you can do better

Been going here my whole life along with many other Chinese restaurants in Sydney. You have to try the Hong Kong rice dish. Simply beautiful. A true authentic Chinese restaurant in the area.

I Ordered home delivery In advance last night it turned up about half a hour before delivery time which, is excellent because I was starving. For around $50 delivered i got a short soup, large special fried rice, combination chow mein with crispy noodles, and pork ribs in peking sauce, they even gave me free mini spring rolls with plum dipping sauce. The food was amazing, fresh, clean, good size serves with plenty of ingredients. Very happy and as long as every meal is like that will be making this my permanent Chinese local home delivery from now on. 😊

We ordered dinner last night for delivery the first time we've had food from this restaurant and were told we would have it within 1hr and 15 mins. We ordered at 7.30pm. Well we never saw the driver or our food. Come 10.30pm we still hadn't seen it. I rang today too ask what happened and was told that the driver did come and we apparently said that there was no one there and closed the door. I explained that it was not our house the person on the phone was very argumenitive and rude. So needless to say I won't be giving them the time of day. So tonight we really ordered from the flower drum and was treated like a real person and we got our food and the whole experience was just wonderful. I highly recommend it!!!! If you want real service and good food DON'T ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!πŸ˜žπŸ˜žπŸ™πŸ€”πŸ˜‘πŸ˜«

Unlike a lot of other restaurants that come and go, it seems every suburb has its own House of Bamboo that have been around since....well he was a boy lets say :/. There's something nostalgic about eating out at a restaurant that you went to when you were a kid with your own kids.

Food here is good. Not much you can mess up with Chinese food I guess. The service is efficient if only a bit too. They even do live music on a Saturday which to be honest is not the best.

Having been to house of bamboo many times, it's a great place for cheap local night out with the family. The portions are generous and the food never lets you down. The honey chicken and prawn cutlets are a must order, but to be honest, you can order just about anything and be super satisfied.

This is your typical Chinese restaurant. Decent price for a decent feed. If you want to step away from the usual lemon chicken and Mongolian lamb and try something different for dinner, I would recommend the Bird's Nest Chicken.
