Review Al Amar - Campbelltown

We lived in the middle east. Came here to recall the memories, and were pleasantly surprised with the excellent food. Sarcastically we were the only customers (12pm+ Saturday). Price is reasonable. My husband loves their cucumber pickle very much hence bought another 2 boxes to take away. $6 each which is a little pricey :)

Beautiful little restaurant... we brought our meal $25 each and it was delicious and quite filling and I'm a big island boy... Customer service is very friendly and the cook was happy that we enjoyed the food..

Never had a bad experience here! Being Lebanese we have high standards for middle eastern cuisine and this is up there. Keep up the great work crew. Waiters always provide great service 👌🏼

Very friendly staff and quick service. Their breakfast is traditional Lebanese and very tasty. Worth going there for a try. Their tea is also very nice. Much recommended.

The waitress was nice, the chips were pleasantly salty and crisp and the tabouli had a good amount of lemon, but I’m honestly struggling to comprehend how this restaurant is rated as highly as it is... Firstly, the place was freezing, I mean come on guys, it’s almost winter. The pickle plate we were served (and their portion sizes in general) were pitiful for two people. The falafel was TERRIBLE, crunchy on the outside and bland and pasty in the middle and the meat was dry, underseasoned and overcooked. We also attempted to order extra sauce which looked as if it started an argument (we never got it) but boy did we need it. I don’t like writing bad reviews, we frequent Middle Eastern restaurants and there are more good than bad out there. This place however, does not serve food with quality that reflects the price, we left cold and hungry. Evidently the other patrons have never left Campbelltown.

Got a mixed plate and mixed veggie plate takeaway. The place was empty and the guy said 10 minutes, max 15. Took over 20 and the food wasn't very hot. The food was good but again would've been much better if it was hotter. The 2 mixed plates came with different stuff including one with a drink and one without despite being the same price and only one bag of bread. It was $25 a pop too. Food was decent but not amazing and it wasn't cheap or quick or hot so feeling a bit meh on it.

Best chips ever purchased from a restaurant. Meat skewers were done perfect and the mansaf was lovely, especially when my mum took out her bottle of sirracha from her handbag. Nice food all around. 👍

Really good mid eastern food! I went at a quiet time in morning, and the lemon- garlic chicken was just great. A flock of cockatoos wanted to try my food real bad but I had to shoo them away..
