Review Soul Origin - Campbelltown

Only some advice to customers and staff. Don’t order the pasta salads because the pasta taste like dough and if you order a salad, ask for it in a larger container because the lady didn’t close the lid properly on my salad and it made the little paper bag wet and it was gross taking my salad out with sauces all over the bag, bowl and napkins or just don’t pack the bowls too much; I like getting my moneys worth but not if it’s gonna be messy. I still want to try the sandwiches tho.

Lisa, Belinda and the Soul Sistas at Macarthur are such a fab team who bring the goods! From coffee and toast in the morning, to salads, soups and sandwiches for lunch. Always greeted with a smile and great service, cannot recommend enough!

Good coffee and tasty food, great for a take away. Not such a great location for a sit down though.

Used to be nice few years ago - I always ate lunch at soul origin Mac square, however the last few meals have been uneatable. Ordered Pasta, (2 types) Pasta was hard , & tasted aweful, I thought it was raw so I returned the meal, the woman told me that the fridges were so cold it was freezing the food in the window, & told me to wait 10 min for it to defrost, ahh no thank you, I wasn't buying it & asked for something else , (she told me I could take the Pasta home , I Wanted her to throw it out but she insisted it was frozen & I could eat it later for dinner) she gave me a chicken breast roll toasted in replacement,& that was also terrible, chicken stunk , it was not off just dry & strong smelling as it had been sitting there way too long so I threw it away. Back to the frozen pasta, I took it home wanted to see if just maybe I was wrong, hell no, it was hard as a rock 2 Hours late, it crumbled into pieces too, like feta cheese, I couldn't work it out but they may cook pasta in batches in advance, freeze it & use it when they need it. Regardless, You can't sell food in that state & lie to the customer , we aren't stupid, & I will not be returning. Gave it a 2star because I was served by a friendly, nice young blonde girl at first, later encountered the older woman with dark, red hair who needs to stop lying to customers & also wear her mask properly (not on her chin) why bother.

3.5/5

Good coffee isn't hard to find in Macarthur mall. Soul Origin is pretty good no matter what franchise you go to. Not overly strong, My flat white was smooth, creamy and consistent. One of about 3 solid coffee shops in the mall itself which I'll go too. Food wise everything is standard Soul Origin fare, fresh, healthier than a Big Mac albeit a little pricy. Good place to pick up a coffee when browsing the shops, or a bite of something healthy when on the fly.

My go to coffee place in Macarthur Square! The staff are friendly and super quick so you're not waiting long at all. They've got a variety of milk alternatives that other places won't (oat). Only downside is that I get charged a difference price for coffee by staff almost every time I go :(

Great range of salads. I love that you can choose a few varieties (depending on the size you get). All the food I have tried here has been really tasty. Staff are also friendly. Can be a bit expensive and portion sizes are small.

Located on the top level of Macarthur Square, Soul Origin has a solid range of salads, wraps and sandwiches, and also do a pretty good coffee. Service was upbeat and friendly and there's plenty of seating in the light-filled food court to enjoy your meal.
