Been coming here for years but this time , standard really dropped with could explain why it was not the usual bursting full. Staff very good still

Absolutely one the best places my partner and I have gone too. Even there takeaway options are the best taste like your sitting in the restaurant but in your own comfort at home. The owners are lovely and made my pregnant partner feel very special thank you so much guys ! 100/10 def recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone

We’ve only had amazing experiences at Cafe Settebello! Great value, but most importantly Excellent Quality across the board! Staff are awesome too, very friendly and helpful. Been here a few times now, safe to say it’s our new local… Thanks again guys! :)

Delicious food, friendly staff, HUGE choice on the menu, generous portions. Our dessert took so long we had to ask what’s happened, but they were very apologetic and friendly so that made up for it, and that made all the difference. Will definitely be back!

Great service and food as we can never finish our meals when we go with the servings so huge 😋

Went to Settebello for a reunion dinner with 25 people 23Apr 2022. Excellent range of food, Atlantic Salmon was very good. Snittys are half a steer, u will need a doggy bag. Staff helpful, present well, decor/layout is good. Took a little while to deliver meal. All courses and wine very good. Well done! Will go back there again soon.😊

The food was good and not too expensive. I had the Honey Soy chicken wings which were okay. Better if you order the Italian based meals. A little cold in decor.

Pizza was cold when served with uncooked toppings, gluten free base wasn’t good either. Pasta was pretty good, especially the parmesan wheel.

This was a return visit for us the first being very good. This time the service was appalling. We waited for 15 minutes for our order to be taken and when a further 15 minutes went by with our drinks not arriving . My wife went to the drinks counter advising we had been here for a half hour she was told no you haven’t. To the bar person with the trendy blonde haircut you need a lesson in manners and good service because we won’t be driving across Adelaide from a south western suburb again. To the owner take him aside to explain the meaning of hospitality.

Beware They serve cold food which they then zap and it comes out hard. Not a place to revisit. If you cant feed vegans dont! I never got an apology

It’s loud, fun and busy. I am not sure how many people it seats but it’s a pretty big cafe. The food is good, especially the pastas and pizzas and the service is friendly. It won’t break the budget eating here. It’s the perfect family venue here. #cafesettebello #newton #adelaide

Settebellos is charming and delicious all in one. Beautiful food served with a smile. I can not fault a single element of my many visits to this cafe. Fresh produce packed full of flavour. Will always come back!

Headed here recently for lunch. There were some great lunchtime specials on offer. Food was pretty good, really good portion sizes for the lunchtime prices. Plenty of indoor seating and staff were friendly and attentive. A nice place for a quick casual meal with family or friends.

Previously this was Assaggio Cafe .... an innovative Italian cafe. It was great. Now Settebello falls under a mish mash of Italian and not Italian. The wood oven pizza facility is a bonus and that’s good. Wings on the menu doesn’t make sense. The cheese wheel gimmicky and as my friend reported ..... first mouthfuls are morish and then it becomes so salty and cheesy. My veal saltimbocca was ok however ruined by a thick layer of mozzarella cheese. Italian food is usually applied with some restraint and not all that cheese. The complimentary bread basket was sad ... they ran out of bread. The coffee was good.

This place is fantastic! Have dined here a few times and each time is a great experience. Service is excellent, and the food is so deicious. The kids meals are so worth it because it comes with a gelato and juice. Servings are bigger than an average kids meal. Highly recommended.

Can always get a table at this place, don't know if that's a good or a bad thing? Service is a bit hit and miss. Huge serves. Decent prices.

Service was odd to start with. It appears as though it is family owned and run, with members of the family working the floor. I don't know if anyone of them has had training. All the waitstaff who served us throughout the evening were grumpy and rude. One actually sighed when I asked for a meal recommendation as though it was too much. Food delivery was just a waitress shouting the name of the meal at the table. I heard a waitress complain about the long hours she had worked- management, either give your staff breaks or hire more so their attitude can improve!

The food itself was only OK. The rest of my table mostly enjoyed or ate their meals. Bread basket was enjoyable. Majority found pizzas soggy with too much cheese. But myself and my friend ordered the cheese wheel pasta...a great novelty and fun to order. But yet again, for the waitress tossing it at the table, it was just too much effort. She just seemed like she wanted to be anywhere but there. The pasta itself was overcooked, clumpy, cold, and bland, with stale tasting button mushrooms. Actually disgusting. Found a hair in mine, called the waitress over, and let her know. Offered to remake it for me to take home. I explained that as I didn't enjoy it anyway, I would rather it came off the bill. She huffed, disappeared and did not return. Went to pay for drinks etc...mentioned to manager at the till the situation- he actually ignored me and proceeded to simply ask me for full payment.

I feel that all the faults of the food could be overlooked if service improved, in saying that however it would need to be a dramatic improvement. I certainly will not be returning nor will my dining companions.

Great service by a waiter who really got to know us and spend time talking to us! The food was absolutely delicious. Can't go past an entree of arancini which were divine! Followed up by generous servings of pasta that have delicious flavours. The complimentary bread basket was a great touch with a selection of different breads. Very impressed and cannot wait to return!

We dined as a couple one Monday evening.
Upon entry we noticed a crowd of teens "hanging out" which was a bit odd: they seemed to be friends or family of one of the waitresses. The language from this table was a bit ripe, and they appeared to not be actually dining....

We were seated and a different waitress offered us water and took a drinks order. She was grubby with unfortunate body odour.

Our table was still slightly greasy perhaps from not being wiped down since lunchtime?

Our drinks arrived; and a dirty caraf of tepid water was also dumped on the table.

We ordered entrees and the waitress raced off without asking about our main course requests?!

Our entrees arrived and were delicious.

Our entree plates were not cleared, and awkwardly no one approached us so it was difficult to order our mains. There was a guy hanging around the till who possibly was a manager but despite his imposing size he appeared to be scared of the waitresses?!

Eventually we did manage to order mains, and they arrived hot and delicious.
Beautiful pasta done well. Shame about the complimentary "gourmet" bread basket being filled with stale old pizza?!

Our mains were not cleared and there was no opportunity to meet a waitresses eye - all of the waitresses were too busy fooling around with each other, gossiping together or chatting with their friends.

In the end we approached the desert display cabinet and ordered there.

No deserts arrived.

Eventually I asked and they hastily served them.

The panacotta was totally hard and overcooked and Inedible.

The coffee was also forgotten.

The food from the kitchen was good.

The service was embarrassingly bad.

We did not complain but they sensed they had stuffed up and took money off our bill.

I would rather play the full bill and get decent service.

I am not sure we will return, the service and atmosphere in this place was just really really weird.

I booked for Sunday lunch purely so I could have the eggs benny as CS serves all day breakfasts. The hollandaise sauce was generous but unfortunately, the chili porchetta layer seemed very fatty, making the meal too rich.
She had the grilled chicken burger & enjoyed every morsel. He had the beef burger & was disappointed by the meat patty.
The cakes look fabulous.
