Van Loc Restaurant - Campsie - Photo album

Decent Vietnamese restaurant
The menu has a distinct lack of vegetarian options but the lady boss still made me a vegetarian version of their vegetable noodle stir fry dish by swapping out the animal-based stir fry sauce with water. That was really kind of her. My parents say the food here is okay, but doesn't quite compare to
My favourite restaurant there combination fried rice is my favourite dish. And my kids love the pork with the Singapore noodles. Great dish's at really affordable prices
First time eating at Van Loi and the food was average. We ordered 2 pho tais (rare beef noodle soup) and the soup was watered down and full of msg. At $11 a bowl, the serving was considered pretty small compared to somewhere like ha noi Quan in marrickville. We were soooooo thirsty after the noodles
Not like it used to be. Feels like it has changed owners. The soup is plain and boring now compared to other pho places. Disappointing as it was the only decent pho place that did not give you food poisoning in campsie.
A simple meal of spring rolls and steamed rice was eaten here. The spring rolls were pretty regular, nothing too contrasting or putting it above from the rest, but how the small bowl of steamed rice came a few minutes after the spring rolls is a concern.
The food is ok. But I can't agree with cash only. Every business has to do their part and contribute to the tax system.
The best pho beef soup ever.... i co.e here at least 2 times a month...
