We had a wonderful dinner tonight!
We ordered salt and pepper squid to start with and it was tasty then followed with the lamb pasta dish and a pizza. Both dishes were perfect, the pasta was incredibly flavourful and the pizza - that pizza base was to die for! We ate everything even though we were full to bursting.
We had a glass of Shiraz each - their wine menu was extensive and had some great local wines as well as some from further afield.
We'll be back, so much more we want to try on the menu.
Came for lunch on a Sunday on the recommendations of an Italian acquaintance.
We tried two pizzas cooked in a wood fire oven, a pasta carbonara, slow cooked pork belly, risotto and calamari.
All dishes were tasty and delicious. The pizza base was fluffy and chewy with a balanced amount of toppings. We’d like to come back and try the other pizzas too.
Pork belly melted in your mouth after each bite. The carbonara could use a bit more pepper. We got so full with no room left for deserts.
It got a bit busy. There was only one staff but she was friendly, calm, helpful and very effective in welcoming walk-ins here, taking orders there, serving and doing the cash register!
Convenient online booking available. Car park available nearby.
The food was excellent while the service was sub-par. Regardless though we'd definitely be back as they were friendly, just forgetful! The pizza dough was airy and light. As a side, the potatoes exceeded the expectations of our table's seasoned potato expert!
With most every other place closed or closing at 8:30-9pm, Trecento thankfully was will serving. Greeted by a lovely lady and given a table. The menu is focused and offers variety as well as quality. Food turnaround was quite quick for fresh dishes. Great staff and atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
After having read a number of reviews claiming “best pizza in town”, we had to check it out. We haven’t yet tried all the pizza in town, but it is definitely very tasty! Our waiter seemed inexperienced but was very nice. We are definitely coming back for the pizza!
Every time I come to Canberra I make a point to come here. My friend is Italian he dragged me here 3 years ago. One word about the food in Trecento its simply “orgasmic” don’t forget the Gnocchi.. it’s made by the gods
The hand cut gnocchi is amazing. The pistachio and Italian sausage pizza is a real stand out - something I'd had in Italy and hadn't seen on a menu back here in Australia other than at Trecento. The service is also welcoming and attentive.
