Review Agostinis Italian Restaurant - Canberra

If me and my wife could give Agostinis more than 5 star then we definitely would! The food is BLOODY AMAZING, let's talk from Pizza.. in our opinion the Pizza is THE BEST PIZZA THAT WE EVER HAD, PERIOD! The lasagna, we thought could have been better but it's still YUM! and the Calamari... taste freaking better than a SQUID GAME! 😀😀 so tender and the homemade sauce or mayo (you named it) makes even better! we definitely be back, the staff is excellent and very helpful. Overall you guys are THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT in the ACT. Thanks heaps guys xx Glenn & Kirst

great Italian dining experience! the entree focaccia bread with garlic spread was an absolute joy! i could just order this over and over and be absolutely satisfied! great quality! The pastas were delicious and salads were nicely dressed! there is plenty of indoor seating! they can easily cater for large groups (just book ahead) otherwise this makes the perfect spot for all occasions!

One of our favourite spots for pizzas, pasta, Italian food and drinks in Canberra. The pizzas are delicious with a thin base that’s soft inside and crunchy at the rims. Large choices of toppings to choose from the menu. Friendly and helpful staff. The room is bright thanks to the glass wall, feels airy with a nice atmosphere. Decor combines modern and retro touch. The open kitchen is separated from the room by a long bar. Underground car park under the hotel. First 30 minutes are free. Toilet available near the lifts. Booking recommended.

Great atmosphere, good service and bar. I had a squid ink pasta and I love it and we have Francesco pizza too, tasty and I really love the pasta. It's a cosy restaurant to have a dinner with your love one or couple of friends.

The restaurant was very popular and for good reason. We had the food delivered to our room in the hotel and it was delicious. Although called tuna carpaccio, it is tuna tartar and very tasty. The fish of the day, is served in a broth with couscous. The wood fired pizza bread and pizzas are also excellent.

The base was perfectly cooked. Charred and crispy. However, the sauce was far too runny making the topping sloppy. If you lift it up by the crust then it all fell off. They just need to cook the cheese a little bit more and cook off their sauce so there is less water content.

I love the ambiance and venue of agostinis. We have eaten here a few times and always had a pretty good meal. Pastas and great pizzas.

Just finished moving into the area. Too tired to cook. Thought we’d be safe with pizza. Ordered two from this place at approx 9:10pm on a Sunday night. One was OK but this one (chilli, salami and olives) was almost devoid of topping apart from an excess of olives. Very disappointing. Driver was great!

After a tough three days of softball in the heat we stopped in here for a decent meal before heading back to Sydney. What a great restaurant. Staff were attentive, smiling and genuinely interested in our day and why we were in Canberra. Then the food came out - lasagne for the athlete and the halibut for me. Perfectly cooked tasty food. Generous portions. Great wine list and the desserts were to die for. Food - awesome Staff - excellent Ambience - A+ We'll be back.

I organised my works Christmas dinner for 18 people and have walked away disappointed with our banquet experience last night. We did not have a menu option to chose from other than the verbal communication about what we were recieving for dinner. We were informed we would be recieving antipasto pizza pasta and tiramisu. We were all fine with that and looking forward to the dinner. The antipasto and pizza were amazing. Then came the pasta. In a banquet setting, as we have experienced in other restaurants, you get a variety of mains to cater to different tastes. Here we only recieved one pasta dish which was lamb penne with a dry bland side dish of shaved cabbage. There were six medium sized bowls to feed 18 people. Problem was that my wife and I don't eat lamb and as the organiser of the dinner I was not given the option or choice of the pasta dish. Although we didn't touch the lamb we were sure that more dishes were coming so it didn't phase us too much however none did. After a significant amount of time tiramisu, our dessert was served. For spending $90 per couple not to mention all the drinks purchased we were really disappointed to have left not feeling like we got what we paid for. The food is wonderful which we can't really fault however the banquet was poor value based on what we experienced the week prior when we attended the restaurant and hand picked our own dishes for the same value. I wouldn't recommend banquets at this restaurant. We had a great time with the atmosphere and colleagues but left very disappointed. A printed banquet menu would be a good idea so that your customer knows exactly what they are getting for the money they are paying. When we asked staff to provide it for us on the previous visit however they were not able to help us with it and basically brushed us off when we were asking the maitre'd as we were leaving. As a result, I'm not sure we would return.

We had a birthday dinner with a party of three. Two of us were absolutely happy (5/5) and enjoyed the starters, main and desert, but unfortunately were let down by the vegan option (which was rang up about beforehand) was an overpriced very, very plain undercooked pasta. Just one nice vegan dish on the menu would have turned our whole experience to 5 stars.

The food and the wine were excellent. Fast service. And table service by Oliver was very professional. Sitting outside on the verandah was a bit too warm even though it was a cloudy day. Shading umbrellas would have been really good. Any sun protection!

This place is amazing. Shout out to Annie who looked after us and helped us choose the amazing calamari, lamb ragu and incredible custom desert. Made our night.

What an amazing place! Awesome vibe, really attentive wait staff. Had a delicious feast in a fairly big group. The quality of the food was excellent. The menu had loads of options. A very traditional Italian taste. Definitely going back again soon. Especially for the dolce.

Cracking Italian, as good as Italian and Sons but in a different way. Great staff, great vibe and a wonderfully balanced menu and wine list.

Ordered a $24 pasta and a $23 pizza. Pasta not cooked, and a ridiculously small serving for the price. Pizza was nice, but not amazing. Over priced, need to lift your game as I’m coming in again in a few weeks as part of a group. Thinking about looking for a new place. Muse never fails.
