Great food, great wine and really great service! The views are amazing as well

Lovely dinner, great service and beautiful view over Canberra. Nice little touches to personalise for our anniversary dinner too. The restaurant is quite open to the kitchen, so you get a little more noise than other fine dining I've been to, but certainly nothing to detract from the experience. Will definitely go back, it was delicious and the view over sunset was so beautiful.

Slightly overpriced but really good for a special fine dining experience. The view is absolutely lovely and the food is quite delicious. I had the vegetarian three course and was satisfied. The wine pairing added a beautiful charm to the food. The service was lovely and overall would recommend for once-in-a-while special experience!

Onred is at the top of the Red Hill lookout. So it probably has one of the best views a Canberra restaurant could have. We had 5 course meal with wine pairing. The photos are the second course Kingfish and the fourth main duck. The food was really average... I'd have expected the food to be exceptional, but it was just average and they were not even served warm-hot for the main dish. Also the first course was small baguette stick so it didn't really feel like a 5 course.. I tried once and that was it. I wouldn't go back unless really have to go.

Onred has a great location and friendly staff. It would benefit from a slightly better execution of the food which were good, but maybe not up to the standard of other fine dining options in Canberra. Also with such a great view it would be better if the windows had a clean so that it was easier to see.

Good was good but $$$. The service wasn't good, I booked for NightFest but they didn't seem to be connected. The service was slow, I asked for wine pairing but when the meal came out the wine didn't, I asked the waiter who brought my food and he was borderline rude and just said it was coming. I waited but no wine I ended up asking a different waiter and it was clear they had forgotten. When I booked i told them my wife was lactose intolerance but the head waiter was confused with gluten free. The booking was for two hours and they did was all served in that time and lots of people for the next time slot waiting, as a result as soon as you put your spoon down from desert they were asking you to leave. They knew we weren't happy and didn't even ask us how our meal was when we paid a lot of money for the meal. At the start of the night they kept asking for feedback because it was a new menu but by the end it was clear they only wanted positive feedback.

Food was better than the last time I went. Only one stand out dish - watermelon. Don't get the duck if you like crispy skin. Neither dessert wowed me. Clarify when you order wine. Requested half a bottle which is on their menu, but somehow it became a whole one. Don't feel like we drank it either because they don't leave the bottle on the table.

Great view from the top of the mountain. You can choose the dishes you like by yourself from the menu. Facility is a bit old but the restaurant has been opened over 10 years.

The new menu is stunning, and of course OnRed at night has to be one of the best views in Canberra. The new chef Shane has some great new options... really worth a visit... or two!

Brought my wife here for her birthday and had the most ridiculously tasty dinner of our lives. From the kafir lime infused watermelon and scallops, the chicken and pistachio stuffed pork and the palate cleanser of orange sorbet and vermouth we couldn't pick a favourite without a hearty debate. Could recommend highly enough

First time dining at OneRed tonight, food was really good - really reallllyyyy enjoyed the scallops and the banana doughnut was a really nice way to end the night. Love the wine list too and service was quick and staff were helpful. Will definitely be returning. :)

Great food.. great service...great venue... carry on! :)

The food was delicious. The table bread came out after the first course (ordered a 4 course degustation) and after all the other tables, when we were seated first. I wouldn't normally be so picky, however service is exceptionally important at this calibre of restaurant.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and didn’t leave disappointed. The place has a convenient menu which offers a choice of three or five courses (need to confirm actually, don’t really remember because my husband was responsible for this) for affordable price and a good wine list. I loved each dish I had and a wine just blended it in so well. Needless to say how amazing was to having this dinner while enjoying the view of night city. It was a captivating experience. Only one thing could be better- we had to wait for our waitress to bring our drinks or something else for 20-30 minuets each time we asked for something. Don’t want to go any further with this thing. Overall it’s a wonderful place for dinner.

Onred is in a beautiful spot overlooking the Canberra city views- try visiting at sunset! They do a 4 course meal at an affordable price and a selection of three choices each course. The seasonal menu works well and the size of each course was just right. Flavours were well balanced and the amuse bouche was delish! I got the beef, lamb, duck and peach cobbler for dessert

It is blessed by it’s privileged location in Canberra’s 50 year old Red Hill Lookout buildings, that also enjoys at the door free parking. The menu is conveniently designed so that you can choose 3-5 smaller dishes and build your own meal. This allows you to order to suit your appetite although it is priced to favour ‘upsizing’ at $70 for 3 courses, $82 for four courses and $94 for five courses.

Pleasant meal with a unique view of Canberra. I'm glad this spot is now developed into something special. We had a set menu courtesy of a LivingSocial voucher. Dashi/mushroom broth, some lovely calamari, seared duck with gooey sweet potato, sirloin and mash and greens and my favourite - the creme brulee with a great cracking top.I'm not sure it's worth it if you pay full price though. This place doesn't have the sophistication of a Courgette or Sage but for the discount value it's great to find a place at this mid range price point. Service can cross from brisk to abrupt, even impatient, but a good value special meal out.

The presentation of dishes have been well thought out and I did enjoy the food here, particularly the sirloin and dessert. Allergies to gluten were easily catered for with advance notice. The view is gorgeous and it would be lovely to see the views transition from dusk to night during summer when we have more daylight hours. Overall, this was a pleasant experience with low key and quiet ambiance, good food and the twinkling lights of Canberra.

My partner a I decided to go with the 5 course option (having read that others found the dishes a bit small). We were both so full by the end of it, would have been happy with the 4 course option. Loved every dish, amazing food and well worth the dollars considering everything else was also good, atmosphere, view and service!

Good food and happy to deal with allergies.

Flexible dining with a great view.. One of the best views in Canberra.

Their flexible menu is a very innovative and great idea. You can choose 3, 4 or 5 courses and the number of menu item choices is outstanding.

Had the best lamb I've ever eaten here, didn't know it could be made that tender!

The food was gourmet without being pretentious.

Always beautiful clever food with a great view. Possibly the best creme brûlée in Canberra. Friendly helpful and knowledgable service. It's all great!

Quite simply, this is as good as it gets. That is all.

Fantastic views, fantastic food. The drive up Red Hill creates a great sense of anticipation, that upon arriving and being seated (right away) does not disappoint.
Fantastic food selection that will require 4-5 plates to feel content.
Fantastic romantic setting.

Loved it.

This place is fantastic, one of my favourites in Canberra. I love the degustation menu, the food is always beautifully presented and inventive with some outstanding dishes produced. The view is amazing and the staff have been trained well and offer excellent service with out losing personality, Ben knows his wines and consistently recommends great accompanying bottles. The best pork belly I have had in Canberra!

Perfect for a Special Occasion. I went here recently for a private party for a major celebration. The view is fabulous looking out over the lights of Canberra from atop Red Hill.
The menu concept is interesting. You select 3,4, 5 or more courses depending on your appetite. Each dish is a tiny morsel, intricately prepared and delicately presented. The dishes range from light (goat's cheese salad, zucchini flowers), through to quite robust (toulousse sausage and bean cassoulet, tiny rounds of steak) and amazing desserts. It is all quite lovely, but a bit disappointing to get something delicious and find that it is gone in literally 3 mouthfuls. Honestly, just not enough. I'd rather have fewer choices and just a bit more of each dish. The group I was with tried most of the menu items, and concluded they were all delicious, but just too small. The wine list was extensive and the wait staff were attentive without being annoying.
An expensive night, but a delight for a special occasion.

On Red has an undeniably outstanding view over Canberra and it’s hard to beat for a great setting. It also helpfully offers a wide range of smaller entree sized serves, designed ‘for you to ‘build your own’ tasting menu’. The options are three $67, four $78 or five $89 dishes. However, while dishes sound interesting and creative flavours are not as outstanding as other similarly priced top Canberra restaurants.
