So many options for vegans and the Japanese salad was the yummiest thing I've had in a very long time! Highly recommend!
Late lunch in the awesome Canberra sun at a great venue. Always quality food. The breakfast salad and matcha smoothie went down a treat...thanks girls.
Iâm obsessed with the crunch açai bowl, definitely the best I have tasted and they cater to my intolerances of GF and DF! Plus they can make good coffee! đ€€
Tried 80/20 for brekkie last week and was thoroughly impressed! I had the Sweet Potato and Kale Rosti and it was delicious. Fit out of the shop is great, and I enjoyed some lovely sun through the window, with Angus and Julia Stone playing in the background... what a perfect start to the morning! Great price, excellent food and super friendly/helpful staff - I'll definitely be back!!
Absolutely love Eighty/Twenty best breakfast in Canberra and great service. Xx
I love this place. They work hard creating the freshest meals. Always good and the service is friendly and efficient
Loved my Warm Lentil Salad - absolutely delicious! The free wifi is also excellent!
Great menu, the food is always delicious and packed with good stuff. Love it.

I have only had positive experiences at this beautiful cafe. Staff are just lovely, caring and professional. Located on the the heart of Braddon this place has plenty of street parking down some of the side streets.
Love the philosophy of this place and the great selection of food for both breakfast and lunch. Today I had the Japanese Salad Bowl and it was delicious! đ I also had a Popeye Smoothie which was fresh and thirst quenching. This may become a regular thing... đ
Thank you! đ
Great atmosphere and location.
Starting the day perfectly from @eightytwentyfood
Some amazing dishes on offer, including a great selection of vegan friendly options.
This apple & coconut bircher was so delicious and truly started the day perfectly đđ

Popped into this cafe for a quick coffee with my family. Service was prompt and friendly. I had a lovely iced mocha and delicious raw caramel slice.
Ordered power bowl, avo and acai bowl. Colorful and delicious! Definitely will go again to try their coffee and smoothie. Perfect experience!
On a second visit to this immensely popular wholefoods eatery, we were able to secure a table (it was a 45 minute wait last time and we were all too hungry for that kind of wait). The cafe is the pick of the bunch for vegetarians and vegans with most of the offering being plant-based and dairy-free. Order at the counter and waitstaff will bring your food to your table. The lunch tacos we had were vibrant and delicious, and the dairy free strawberry smoothie special was yum!
The corner spot in now-bustling Braddon and outdoor seating is a big draw. The various fruit/vegetable/muesli dishes seem most popular and with good reason by the looks of them, but I went further with the "mex eggs", nice eggs over vege cakes and a bunch of other stuff. Pleasant but no chilli or much else in the way of seasoning so I don't know where they got the name from, and $21 is a bit much for the size and content. The coffee's ok, nothing special but at least they haven't followed Canberra's recent trend of cold and weak coffee.
I love this place. Great food (caveat this by saying the food served/ style doesn't suit everybody) Great coffee and lovely service. Sometimes the wait can be huge, but I think it's worth it!
Great location and great vibe! Â I came here for breakfast with friends and the Japanese bowl with salmon was really delicious! Â Light and full of flavour. Â I would definitely come here again!
Absolutely amazing coffee and food, served by some of the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever seen. Will definitely be back as soon as possible!!
Comfy cafe with lovely interiors. Great location in Braddon. Not a huge place, so I imagine could be hard to get a table. Coffee was just okay. Good choice on the menu, a lot of healthy options. I had the peas and smashed avocado. It was well presented, colourful and a good serving size. It was enjoyable, but not particularly memorable. I think it would have been better if the dish was hotter, and it could do with more seasoning. All the dishes are presented very nicely. Service was quick and friendly.
Good spot for quick brunch and coffee. Felt hella healthy after we finished the whole plate. They have indoor and outdoor seatings and the staff are friendly
Great location on a corner in Braddon with outdoor seating or indoors by many of the large windows. Range of options, although disappointingly breakfast isn't served all day.
I had the Matcha shake which was cleansing, but didn't taste like anything in particular. The Japanese bowl was colourful and had flavour, but wasn't anything memorable. Nevertheless, cannot really fault this place and would return.
Great food offering catering for all tastes.meat, paleo, gluten free etc and very tasty. The poached eggs were perfectly fine and veges were cooked but still a bit crispy...yummo. Reasonable prices. Friendly prompt service, ..... Nice,,đŹđ·
Had the Green nourish bowl for breakfast this morning (with a side of haloumi) and I'm still thinking about how delicious it was several hours later.
Smoothies were tasty and fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. Food was fast and service was friendly. So great to find delicious healthy food that is quick and easy!
Met my friends at Eighty/Twenty cafe. I chose vegetarian. All food were severed in delicate and beautiful way which would bright all your day.
If you're going to 80/20, check out the Green Goodness Bowl - it's colourful, crunchy and flavoursome. Succulent grilled chicken breast is tossed through a rich basil pesto and presented on a mound of greens including asparagus, broccolini and zoodles (zucchini-noodles for the uninitiated). The greens are just cooked, providing a distinct freshness and crispness to the dish, while maintaining maximum nutritional value. The lamb taco is also very colourful and well presented. Full of spice and flavour, the tender slow cooked lamb is heaped on a wholegrain tortilla, and topped with red cabbage, corn, tomato, avocado and grilled sumac cauliflower. Itâs the flavours of Mexico, Braddon-style, all served up in a fresh and healthy way. We loved the food we had on our visit and can't wait to go back soon.
The food was lovely, fresh and very inventive, some of the best vegetarian food I've had in Canberra however the service was average and the very loud sound of the juicer or coffee grinder kind of ruined the experience.
Delicious and nutritious breakfast here for our first morning in our nations capital. I got the chia and oat porridge with poached pear. DIVINE. Hubs got poached eggs with halloumi, mushroom and wilted greens. Really busy cafe so relieved we got some seats straight away. Recommend
Cute little place with really nice staff. The menu isn't as extensive as I'd sort of hope for, but all of the options they do have are pretty cool looking with that healthy/whole leaning. Tried the 'golden latte' this time around, a turmeric/ginger/cinnamon type concoction on almond milk. What a punch! Compared to the last place I tried one at that was sort of sweet and boring sadness, would recommend. Has quite a spicy kick to it though.
Really nice spot for breakfast on a sunny morning. Plenty of seating outside under the trees, sufficiently removed from the Lonsdale Street traffic. 80/20 has a limited breakfast menu but offers something for every taste. The coffee is good and there's a good range of healthy, delicious smoothies on offer.
Always a good experience here :) love the decor and the cheeky philosophy. I had the salmon and greens: interesting concept, it was like having lunch for breakfast! The salmon was grilled to perfection with gorgeous crispy skin and inklings of chilli throughout the wholesome greens. My friend had the smashed peas and avocado, which is her favourite. And they were open at 7am, for crazies like us! Haha :)
Quite a limited menu, but what they do is beautifully presented with fresh ingredients. In a good location with plenty of seating inside and out.
Fresh, healthy food on offer. Coffee was good and so were the smoothies. Good value for money if you are looking for fresh cafe food that are light but packed full of flavour and satisfying.
Absolutely fantastic experience.Â
We came in for a late breakfast (more like lunch, really)..Â
The ambience was very lovely with the outside area under the trees, nice view towards the indoor area, which is outfitted really stylishly in an elegant industrial/Scandinavian style. Great spot for late morning people watching.Â
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We picked a table that turned out to be a bit too sunny, so we shifted, and they were very helpful about it.Â
We ordered bircher muesli, Â and poached eggs with smashed avocado and peas, and two drinks - a coffee and a smoothy.Â
When all the food came out the lovely young girl on staff had a quick chat with us, after noting that we have picked probably the two best choices on the menu, and told a little bit about the accompanying green juice shot that came with the muesli ( the shot was entirely amazing - felt like drinking health.. I think many heavy party-ers would benefit from that after a big night out)...Â
The food was absolutely indulgent. They packed leftovers up for me as I wasn't able to finish it all.Â
The goods:
Great place, great ambience, value for money, fantastic food, wonderful personal service, Â dietary options available.Â
The bads:
None.
Love love love this place. Healthy options perfect for the work traveller looking to keep on track. Would love to see more take away healthy lunch boxes I can pick up nice and early to take with me for a work lunch or hotel dinner.
Probably the best health food I've had since being back in Canberra but it was just such an unpleasant experience .
Crammed tables (half of them in the blazing sun), confused inattentive service, and grubby (2 glasses in a row had lipstick marks on them).
Liked the breakfast salad but it was a small portion and was light on sweet potato and heavy on (undercooked) broccoli. Pomegranates, tahini, and almonds were yum. $17.50 was also getting up there for what I got.
I'd like to see a juice menu rather than smoothies.
All in all quite good. From my experience, it was all on the money. Easy, clean, good food and flavors. Nothing ground-breaking or worth peeling your pants about, but I got what I wanted at a reasonable price with minimal fuss and no headaches or bad bits. Walked away a happy customer. Will definitely return and hope to get more of the same.
Love the acai bowls and their coffee is probably the best on Lonsdale Street! Unfortunately my boyfriend who's not into ultra healthy food is not a fan, found the 20 bun to be very oily and full of fatty bacon, and nothing else appeals to him on the menu so this is now where I go with my healthy girlfriends! Love it
I love how super healthy the food was here. I had the grilled barramundi with a giant salad. It was a lot to get through. I felt a bit like a rabbit chomping through all those veggies. Only thing that annoyed me was there was no table service. Bright airy space.

I adore those beautiful spring weekend mornings when you can feel the sun shining on your face! My friend and I enjoyed one such morning sitting outside at Eighty Twenty. Another friend had recommended trying one of the acai bowls â acai isnât my favourite flavour, but with the delicious-sounding toppings I gave the âOâ bowl, one of three options, a go. Our food came out quickly, although not at the same time, and I admired the neat presentation of the strawberries, bananas, granola and
Although visiting on a cool Canberra Spring day, inside was crowded and noisy so we moved to an outdoor table overlooking the roundabout on Lonsdale Street. Service was quick in ordering inside and delivery out side. The freshness of the dishes was apparent with the handmade rice paper rolls, dipping sauce and salad a perfect light meal. Contents were a picture with red cabbage and turkey breast. The other dish was a fragrant salad including pumpkin, broccolini, rocket and a sprinkling of black sesame seeds. Both dishes were delightful as was the surrounds were a range of food choices presented to suit all tastes.
I almost ate here once when it just opened, but they didn't have eftpos, and once me and my husband saw the menu, we thought that not having eftpos was a good reason to walk out the door. The menu is too healthy for our liking. Nothing fried, creamy or served with high carbs? Definitely not for us.
However, I have always loved smoothies, and once I read that they have matcha flavoured smoothie, I just have to try that.
I ordered matcha immunitea smoothie and zoodles. Yes I know, I went from "no healthy food for me" to picking one of the healthiest food in the menu. But I love zoodles, I used to make it at home, so I just want to know how zoodles taste like in a restaurant.
The food and smoothie came out quite quickly. I took a sip on the smoothie first and I was completely blown away. The flavour was so refreshing, even though it's a milky smoothie (but they use almond milk), but I can imagine myself drinking it in the warmer summer weather. They also have non-milky smoothie with apple juice or coconut water base.
The zoodles is definitely better than my home-made one, because this one has olives, capers and rustic eggplant that goes well together with the fresh tomato sauce. Whereas I usually bought pasta sauce in a jar for my zoodles at home. What I love about the food, is that everything taste so fresh. I believe that eighty twenty picks the freshest ingredients for their food, and I can taste that.
So, even though the food in eighty twenty are healthier that my usual french toast with bacon and maple, but they definitely taste as good, and fresher. The price is also very reasonable as the portion is so big. Actually, I feel that ordering both zoodles and a smoothie might be too much. Next time I'll pick either food or smoothies.
Nice weekend menu provided, like the mini loaf and egg & bacon bun, fruit shake will be a good choice to have a try with a daily vitamin supplementary
Love this place! Its great to finally have a healthy spot to go to for breakfast and lunch in Braddon. I live and work in Braddon so this place has become my local.  I especially love their variety of breakfast salads and the interesting ingredients they put in their meals.  They also have awesome salads which change everyday - I pick mine up in the morning on my way to work...again really interesting combinations that make eating salad for lunch actually fun! Eightytwenty may not be everyones cup of tea, but if you're into eating well then this is the place for you.
Yummy healthy brunch. Had brunch here today -- I had the green nourish bowl with some added trout and it was great! My friend and I also really enjoyed our smoothies.
Perfect breakfast and perfect coffee. And im a coffee snob lol.The raw sugarcane sugar for the coffee was nice.
And because our meals came out a few minutes apart they gave us free coffee. Nice touch seeing as we didnt mind.
Will be my new hang over cure spot.
FINALLY! A healthy place to eat!!. We went to 80/20 last night for dinner with my husband and 2 young children. I thought "hey, lets start off our health kick by going to a healthy cafe for us all". I was quietly crapping my pants that i would absolutely cringe at the food seeing as it's healthy and not soaked in butter and oils that i was so deliciously use to!
For entree we ordered the oysters and spring rolls ( i think that's what they were called) and they were so refreshing to the palate. My daughter (3years old) even ate a roll!
For main my husband and i ordered the spatchcock and stuffed capsicums and the eye fillet to share between the kids.
WOW! the spatchcock was perfectly cooked. i sucked every piece of meat off those bones! I loved the healthy twist of the sides on the dish, it really made me feel i was indulging in something i shouldn't... when in fact it was a healthy alternative to the normal restaurant sides! and those capsicums... just delicious! As i have a European background, stuffed capsicums is in my blood. In saying that, what im use to is also very fatty so i was pleasantly surprised that they still had the key elements but a healthier version! I loved their twist on the foods i love to make them a healthy alternative!
Now...the kids.
The eye fillet was cooked to perfection and just carved beautifully on the plate ( well... chopped up in small cubes for the kids). It came with a side of mash sweet potato, brocollini and asparagus. My 3 yr old absolutely inhaled it! and it was so lovely of the owner to make my kids feel comfortable ( we even scored a little hot chocolate as a treat for eating all her dinner!). My one year old however just decided to suck out the juices of every single piece of meat and then eat the mash!
Wow ... we survived healthy eating!
BUT WAIT! we went for desert.... we had the raw choc slice ( i really can't remember it's name but it tasted like a golden rough!!!) and the raw - what looked like a cheescake but was in fact all these other amazing ingredients. This one tasted so fresh and i am a huge coconut fan so they both went down so well!!
My husband ordered the mousse and ... it was made with avocado ( which i didnt tell him as he hates avocado hahaha!). He ate it to the bottom! It was only then i told him it had avocado and he just didnt get how a dessert that tasted like a chocolate mousse had avocado as its main ingredient!
I am so glad we went as we didnt want to ruin our new year health kick by eating our weight in fat!
I was pleasantly surprised! It is different to what we are use to, but i loved it.
It may not be for everyone as it is very different to the fatty , oily addictive foods. But its a high five from me for now having a place to go to and not feel guilty indulging!
The owner was so nice, and i am very grateful for the free hot choc that my daughter got ( out of the blue!). healthy of course :) !
The staff were very polite and i'd definitely go there again in a heart beat.
FINALLY! A HEALTHY PLACE TO EAT!

Sweet Potato and Kale Rosti. The rosti is soft (clearly not fried) and the pesto tastes fresh and very basily. The egg was perfectly poached and the portion size was just right for breakfast.
Outside area too hot and food average. Went to eighty twenty on a sunny weekday. The outside tables were excruciatingly hot as they were black in colour and radiated heat immediately. I got the lamb and vegetable skewers which was nice, however, the quinoa tabouli lacked seasoning and the flat bread was your stock standard pre-bought pita bread. Would definitely go back to eighty twenty just might sit inside next time or go on a day that is not as sunny :)
Great staff, great coffee, great place! :). Had coffee at Eighty/Twenty today and left very happy. Staff were friendly, coffee was strong & tasty. It arrived at the table quickly. Great funky place to be on a lazy sunny canberra afternoon. I'll come back for sure and recommend it.

Two of us couldnât go past the sweet potato rosti, with pesto, poached egg and cherry tomatoes (which I wouldnât recommend sticking your fork into⊠Lesson learned). It turned out to be a good choice â the rosti is soft (clearly not fried) and the pesto tastes fresh and very basily. The egg was perfectly poached and the portion size was just right for breakfast. I also had the âGlow Proâ smoothie (rejoice, dairy-free smoothies are a thing here!) with raspberry, blueberry, acai and coconut flesh. It was light, refreshing and a great match for the meal.
The focus is 80% on healthy good food and 20% on indulgence. Officially opening earlier this week, sister duo and owners of Eighty/Twenty, Klarisa and Tihana have brought a much needed concept to Canberra - fresh, healthy, great tasting food at reasonable prices. Stepping inside, I notice the beautiful copper-like pendant lights, the brightly coloured cups and saucers on top of the coffee machine, blackboards describing healthy smoothies, and sweet treats such as raw balls (representing the 20% indulgence), as well as salads and sandwiches. The decor is polished and modern, with glossy black tiles along the back wall contrasting against white walls. The glow from the pendant lamps along with the natural light shining through the floor to ceiling windows provides a warmth to break up the black and white. Soup cauldrons are at the
This newly opened cafe in Braddon offers clean eating with a little bit of indulging and for a good price too! I absolutely cannot wait to come back to try out their breakfast menu and their matcha (green tea) smoothie.
Following on from my weekend post  where I met the lovely owners behind Eighty/Twenty Food, the latest addition to Lonsdale Street, it was always a given that I was going to pay them another visit on their first day of trade to try the food. They opened their doors today at 6am today and I was in by 7.30am for my caffeine fix and a healthy breakfast before work. The fit out looks fabulous. The black and copper theme with hints of green is sleek and welcoming. All the natural light in the cafe makes this every food bloggers dream for photography. I bet you are dying to see a menu, right? Well, here it is. The breakfast menu is seasonal and the lunch menu will change on a weekly basis with additional soups, salads and sandwiches on rotation. My flat white was just right and made the decision to get a second coffee that much easier. My breakfast was the kale and sweet potato rosti with poached egg, pesto oil and blistered cherry tomatoes ($14.50). This was perfection! The rosti was slight
