Under new management now. Food was not up to the old standard, service was all over the place. Entree was a mix up, entree dishes were not taken away plus the main were served before I finished my entree.
Can't see this restaurant lasting as there is so much competition on Kinsgton Foreshore. We use to go every couple of months for Sunday lunch. Would not go back.

Tang Dynasty went above and beyond in every aspect of our dining experience. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the Décor is stunning and the location is in such a pristine location.
We got the Tang Dynasty Degustation and every dish was just beautiful. The chef's have put together a menu that truely demonstrates the strengths of the restaurant. The amount of food was also a pleasant surprise for the price.
Would highly recommend Tang Dynasty, would put it at the top of Chinese fine dining in Canberra.

Tang Dynasty is something of a Canberra institution, having served high-end Chinese food for about 40 years, most of the time at the Kingston Shopping Centre and now at the Kingston Foreshore.
The food was excellent, the staff attentive, but not intrusive and the venue is lovely as the Foreshore generally is. They also do a nice line in vegetable decorations!

We came here because I was excited to have all you can eat yum cha in Canberra. Sadly, it wasn't yum cha with trolleys but a banquet where one serve of each item on the menu was provided.
My kids loved the food but the adults found the experience to be patchy. We had to ask for tea strainers, serving spoons, one dish came out uncooked, there was a tough unidentified object in a dumpling and the vegetarian was surprised to see a prawn in the 'chive dumpling'. I recommend the curry puffs.

Great yum cha — they made a great effort to accommodate our pescetarian, vegetarian and carniverous dietary requirements. Wonderful food overall!

Menu matches the Australian palate and able to cater to diners with allergies. The restaurant is dog friendly as well.

Not recommended. We ordered four dishes, only one matched the description from the menu. Service was incredibly slow other places were closing by the time we got our meal. Would’ve been better had the dishes actually matched the menu, left us very disappointed. Only saving grace was our whole fish was cooked all the way through (despite arriving cold to the table), unlike the table behind us.

Absolute favourite restaurant in Canberra.
Service is extraordinary, place is spotless and food is 10/10
Our favourite is honey chicken, vegetarian fried rice, and all the lamb dishes. Dumplings are the best I have ever had too. All home made and fresh ingredients, you can taste the difference.
We have dinner here about 3 times a month, beautiful view of the lake and sunset.
We recommend This place 100%, romantic dinner, family event or just a quick bite to eat with friends, it’s definitely worth it!
Enjoy 😊
