Bittersweet has an inventive menu and is definitely worth a visit for their Bacon and Avo Rosti, which comes complete with poached eggs, wilted spinach and hollandaise sauce. With great coffee and a chilled atmosphere, a breakfast at Bittersweet is a fab way to kick off your weekend.
I loved coming here for breakfast on the weekend with our puppy!!
All the staff were super friendly and loved our puppy, they bought him water and petted him!
Food was awesome! Simple food but well executed! Can poach an egg!!! This is my one pet hate! Chefs that can't poach an egg properly!!! But I will be returning for a Sunday breakfast in the future!! So thanks guys 👍
Consistently great coffee and great poached eggs.
The staff are friendly and the food always good. If you enjoy great eggs, especially poached, this is the place.
Wait staff were lovely food was superb but some of us had the worst coffee in ages. good location good almond milk hot chocolate and good bacon.
Really good quality food with generous servings. It is always very busy so it can take a while for food and drinks to come out but service is good and food worth it.
Clean. Fresh ingredients. Tasty. Friendly and efficient staff. Pleasant surroundings.
Lots of ticks in lots of boxes.
Great coffee and very good food!. Came here with my kids (10 and 12 years) for brekkie. Had the best Potato Rosti I've ever had. Nice and crisp on the outside and soft inside and the caramelised onion was just right. Large servings so I'd probably share brekkie next time.

Colombian eggs are so tasty. First time i tried I thought mmmm sounds unusual but was feeling adventurous that day... Now I go back often for this yummy find!! Good coffee too.
Really great coffee, friendly staff and warm! I'll be back for sure.
Oh so sweet. At week's end my wife and I drive all the way into Kingston from Bungendore for our favourite Saturday morning ritual–breakfast at Bittersweet. Our order is always the same Bittersweet Benedict and a Bacon and Egg roll and the ever delicious coffee. Over the past 5 years we have come to know Dan, Tim, Josh and Co well and look forward to Saturday mornings with relish (hollandaise).
Good Service. Had a superb coffee and tasty breakfast this morning and the service really stood out, a welcome change from other cafes I've visited of late. Chef must have burnt something as I could smell smoke but definitely be back. Try the benny, best I've had.
Great coffee, attentive staff. Fast service. The three most important things when I first wake up
Great local cafe for breakfast. We eat here for breakfast most weekends and love it. Staff are friendly and attentive - we always have water and menus at our table quickly and they check in on whether we need more coffee regularly enough. Breakfast food is great, recommend the tomato and avocado bruschetta, eggs benedict and the colombian eggs. Also like that there's steak knives to cut through the very yummy but typically hard-crusted sour dough toast.
I went to Bittersweet just after midday on a Sunday. The cafe was very busy at that time. Despite this, the staff were very tentative and cooperative. The food was very nice (one of the best pumpkin soups around) and the coffees were amazing. I would highly recommend this cafe if you wish to eat out for breakfast or lunch.
Nice Eat. A flexible restaurant, they are willing to serve both their lunch and breakfast menu. Staff were very polite & attentative. I ordered poached eggs on deaks (good to see a gluten-free option available) with a side of spinach, eggs were slightly overcooked and the spinach was served with a garlic oil which was quite over-powering. My partner had the beef burger which was tasty but too peppery the accompanying french fries were delicious. Coffee at Bittersweet is very good, would recommend the Caramel Latte & Chai Lattee. Overall I would give it a 7/10.
Nice food but super slow service. Took 20m to get an apple juice!
I went mid afternoon for a coffee and a macaroon. Both were excellent. The staff were great and friendly too. Keen to go back for a meal.
Great breakfast option. Have been going here nearly every weekend and we went here because of being unhappy with Kingston Grind so thought we would try this place out. I found the service to be really good and even when they have made mistakes, they have been apologetic and will make up for it. The big breakfast is great, it is cooked well and is tasty. It can get really busy so there is sometimes a wait but if you aren't in a rush, then it doesn't phase me. We can also take our dog there and they are pet friendly, they bring him out water without us asking and have never had an issue with him being there unlike Kingston Grind who wanted us to tie him up near the road well away from us because of a waitress apparently having a fear of dogs. Anyway, great place to go, would probably like a little more variety with their 'light lunch' menu as I like lunch where my hubby will order breakfast but otherwise it is great!
