It's hard to believe but these are probably the best burgers in Canberra. Chicken or beef, both are punching above their weight as top shelf offerings. Don't sleep on the fries either, salted to perfection with a large enough serving to make you regret finishing the lot.
Not bad for less than $20.

Food was excellent. I ate the roast pork special but the Duck loaded fries were even better than i thought they would be. I would suggest putting on an extra staff member for the bar though, sunday happy hour, if the service is super fast more people might bring more friends. Main reason i ended up there was because Old Canberra Inn was packed.

It was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend if you are looking for good pub food check this place out for your pub food cravings.

Duck chips, duck burger and fish. All yummy but the duck is awesome, up there with the best duck dishes I've ever had. Yummmmmmmooooooo

Absolutely love their $10 weekday lunch menu! The meatball pasta & chicken salad (pictured) is bloody delicious! Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu :) Lovely staff too!

The platter for 4 people is amazing value and the house smoked wings live up to the venue name. Wine a little pricey but countered by the great value meals.
Staff are attentive with some newbies still learning the ropes on a very very busy opening weekend but all done with a lovely smile.
We've enjoyed a Saturday long lunch followed be drinks in the tab area, Sunday arvo drinks with friends and an easy Monday night dinner to polish off the long weekend.
This new local is fantastic. If you're not sure, just keep an eye out for the manager Neil who is constantly running around checking on everyone and everything.
Having moved here from Melbourne recently we finally feel like we have a local we can enjoy!

I went on Friday night with my parents from Wagga and thought I'd give the new kids on the block a try. We enjoyed the wide selection of craft beers and interesting wine list. If you're into your Chardonnays try The Lane wine. The band that was playing was excellent and created a fantastic atmosphere. Yum food, I can't wait to go back.

Furniture update and decent paint job. But still a basic pub atmosphere and the interior spaces havent changed much. Will the clientele change? Not sure in the long run. We had food to share which was OK but not fantastic. Disappointed that the layout is basically the same. A lot of wasted space.
