Had dinner here around mid May 2022 which was a very disappointing and led me to give some scathing feedback - mostly to do with the service and how a legitimate complaint about the food was poorly handled. Was really looking forward to a good steak given the reviews and ordered the Ribeye Steak for $69 as I wanted something with flavour and asked for medium rare.

If you're looking for a good steak house in Canberra this isn't it. This was a 65 dollar steak which didn't include sauce or any sides. I ordered it rare and it was absolutely overcooked to the point if well done. It's the first steak in my life that I haven't finished. Our meal for 2 people was 340
If you're looking for a fabulous night out with great food and amazing cocktails Capitol Bar & Grill is your go to. The atmosphere is so vibrant and relaxed, the service at the restaurant and bar is absolutely amazing!!

UPDATE - after another amazing experience two nights ago. You have to try to book for the new ‘chef’s table’ experience. Mel the cuisine chef was personally looking after us and it was one of the best meals we have had ever, anywhere in the world. Sound like hyperbole? Go and check it out for yourse

The restaurant was quite busy after 7pm so a booking is recommended. The staff were friendly and helpful and took attention to details e.g. refilling water at the table.
