I had a fairly nice breakfast at Popot's on Sunday before visiting the War Memorial. The coffee was pretty decent but I loved the French Toast - it exceeded my expectations. It was also quite nice sitting outside in the sun.
Regularly meet for coffee/afternoon tea with friends on a Sunday afternoon. Helpful friendly staff. Recommend you book a table online as it can get busy. Shame it closes at 3pm on Sundays
Poppy's cafe at the Australian War Memorial is a great place to grab a bite to eat or a coffee. We had breakfast here before your tour of the memorial (we are a family of 4). There are plenty of seats inside and out. I highly recommend their bacon and egg roll. The coffee is also great and I'm a fussy coffee drinker.
We went to Poppys Cafe while we were waiting to tour the Australian War Memorial.
It was not to busy, and we found a table quite quickly. You could scan a code and the menu popped up and order from the table if you wanted to...
We had coffees and cake, biscuits and slice, and all were very yummy and went with our drinks...
I would definately return here again with friends or family if in the area again.

Coffee was great, as was the selection of cakes. Staff friendly and pleasant.
Love the themed chairs and cushions.
Obviously an ideal spot while waiting for your allocated visiting time for the War Memorial, but I think if I lived in Canberra I would be a regular visitor.
