Nga Cafe - Canberra - Photo album

Went for the Jeffrey Smart Tuscan lunch: was fantastic - great food with generous servings! Staff seemed stressed but were really friendly.
A nice spot to sit and have a coffee when it's sunny! Not enough chairs for all the tables, and the employees did a valiant job considering that their infrastructure is basically just a tent. But the NGA can do better!
Friends and we visited for Matisse/Picasso exhibit, stayed for lunch. Fish and chips was adequate, only three strips of fish for the $17 we paid. Sausage roll was great, chicken sandwich size good, flavour so-so. Roast chicken was also all right. I had the vegetarian bocconcino and pesto wrap, enjo
Two stars for sunny location. Food zero stars. Very expensive Luke warm pie in a paper bag, no facility to heat on request. This is the National Art Gallery of Australia. This is a poor reflection on the gallery. MUST DO BETTER.
Good coffee, yummy food to fair prices. Friendly service and great views over the lake. The vegan/vegetarian options could be improved but other than that it was a good experience.
The drinks were okay but the wait was deplorable. I didn't think it was possible for people to move at the pace of a dead snail going backwards but I was wrong. The baristas need just a bit more speed so they avoid serving lukewarm drinks.
Rude staff, terrible coffee and bland re-heated food. To think they are priced dearer than a proper cafe is laughable. The true definition of a tourist trap
Crazy lady would not take my order wow coffee was trash
