This is a first for me. Never before written a review, but felt compelled to. A cold evening in Canberra for us, and Google maps found this place. Having originated in the UK, we love curry and this seemed like a perfect evening to indulge. What a treasure this place is. The food is fabulous, tasty and balanced; all is freshly cooked. The service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Was in Canberra recently staying at the Kurrajong hotel right around the corner. Wanted a simple basic meal and thought this tiny little Indian outlet would be OK.  I was blown away by the wuality of the food. So much so I went back the following night.  Took the waitresses recommendation the first night on a specific lamb dish and it was sensational.  Went back the following night and had the chicken tika masala.  Both nights I simplky had the main and a nann/kashmar naan and was very impressed with everything that was dished up.  Exceptional quality for what you pay.  Would certainly be going back there on my next trip.  Very cheerful and helpful service.

Yogi’s Kitchen opened up in Barton in July and clearly it’s a popular spot for nearby workers on a weekday. It was hard to pick from the range of great lunch options – but really, it’s a no brainer the $15 Lunch Thali is the best!. With a choice of two curries, it came with rice, naan, pickle, raita, pappadom and a gulab jaman – perfect on a wet rainy day.

Another great find on the same night as the kebab shop opposite. Most underrated Indian food joint. Very welcoming staff and very subtle and cosy environment. They didn't have we were after on the menu but on request they made what they had in the way we wanted, which is very very kind of them and very uncommon in small restaurants. Thanks

The best Indian lamb biryani I’ve tried in a long time and I’ve tried dozens of Indian restaurants around Sydney! The flavours were so authentic, not overly spiced and just the perfect amount of heat. The food was absolutely delicious, service impeccable and the atmosphere so warm and lovely. Just what we were looking for on a cold Canberra night! This will definitely be our go to Indian restaurant when we are back in Canberra! Thank you so much for a great experience.

I love this little restaurant for dine in. It's an underrated, small business tucked away in an office district, creating consistently exceptional food I could never make myself, over the 5.5 years my friends and I have been going here! At lunch they do a thali plate where you can choose from a set selection of veg and meat curries, which is fast, wonderful and filling. In the evenings though is when they really come alive. You can choose from an extensive menu, and having everything prepared from scratch just for you brings the taste to a new level. The Malai Kofta is my personal fave and I use it as the benchmark for every other Indian restaurant. So far no one has beaten this place! The banquets are also amazing and so much food. Great for a group. If you haven't tried dine in here, and like a cosy unpretentious place to gather, I highly recommend you give this place a go. Just please keep this yourself ;)

We visited this restaurant as a big family group, let me tell you not a single one of us went out unsatisfied. Food was just excellent along with the service. After Canberra, we travelled to Sydney but did not find the same great tasting food. Best one after a long time. Please visit this place for a great food, you will not regret it.
