Good
-Value for money and good taste.
-Normally fast service.
-Slightly cheaper than other Korean restaurants in Canberra.
Bad
-No toilet.
-They close bit earlier if there is no client.

The worst Korean restaurant ever. Wrong advertising the foods they are selling. Gom beef soup in the advertisement looks like that but when it served to the table totally different also they do not give side dishes so upset. They charge in the beginning so we must or what..........

I ate here a few times and it was okay, not so bad. But the last 2 times, the food is disappointing. The fish egg is broken into the soup, the kimchi soup doesn't have any pork belly, but instead canned ham. I will never go back there.

Cocorea is my favourite Korean lunch spot in the city. I have been enjoying their hot pots, bentos and bibimbaps since 2006. There is a variety of dishes to choose from (with photos for the newbies). I highly recommend the kimchi hot pot and the bulgogi bento.

It's fairly decent place to have a bite. Don't expect fancy stuff.
Menu is quiet straight forward so one needs to just pick up the number on food order and order.
Efpos/cards are accepted and there is takeaway option too.
I tried the kimchi pancake and it was good.

Good for a quick grab. All the servings are preset boxes or platters. A bit too oily for me. Felt a bit like microwave prepared precooked items. Given the range relative prices it was an okay place.

Tried again after years, only had kimchi soup and seafood soup. They do not taste the same, something else looks alright, give others dishes a go.

Visiting Canberra, I gave Cocorea a try. Situated next to the fountain in the Civic town square, Cocorea is a delight. Quick and friendly service, with the flexibility to dine in or takeaway.
Prices range from $13 - $18, and you will not be left hungry.
I tried the Bi Bim Bap (cooked egg - I wasn’t game enough for the raw egg in a sizzling bowl today).
I’d highly recommend Cocorea for a tasty, satisfying lunch.

The staff is friendly and the outside area pleasant. The food is a miss however. Beef bulgogi appeared to be the signature dish but the serve I had was dry and tough. To be charged $3 for a tiny side of kimchi is also a bit rich. Surely there’s better?

Korean food fast and delicious. I've tried all items on the menu and haven't been disappointed.

The stone bowl bibimbap comes out hot and sizzling with a shiny egg york on top of the toppings. Adding a spoonful of hot sauce or two, mixing them well and you are good to go.

The soups offer lots of warmth for a winter night. Hot and very filling.

We were reluctant to review Cocorea, as we eat there regularly and it can be problematic to obtain a table. The reason we eat there often: the food is consistently good, the staff are polite and efficient, the price is reasonable and the variety satisfies all of us. Cocorea is situated in Garema place. There are tables both inside and outside and it has recently been refurbished and the menu has changed slightly. The food is still good and we are looking forward to trying some of the new menu items.

Great food, great location. Fast and efficient service. Nice and sharp menu. Interior design can be improved but that's only secondary when you have great food!
