Review Turkish Delight Restaurant - Canberra

Other reviews seem to have summed up pretty well. The food was really nice, maybe a little pricey but was fresh and good serving sizes. We had the mixed entre and mixed grill to share and it was the perfect amount of food for 2. Service was a bit slow considering how empty the store was and there were tables left uncleared around us. Didn't ruin the experience. Might just need another wait staff working to keep up.

Recently I tried some delicacies at Tukish Delight restaurant based in Belconnen. My fav πŸ’“ dish was Gourmet Chicken Pide, which is served along with roasted chicken pieces with mushroom πŸ„ chargrilled egg plant πŸ† roasted pepper 🌢 and cheese πŸ§€ Do try out this one..it's worth it πŸ‘πŸ» Plus my all time favourite Hummus n bread πŸ₯– along with some yummy shish chicken kebabs πŸ— Lastly for dessert don't miss the Baklawa 😍

Had a pide which was average size and price, however a bit small. I also had another vegetarian dish which ended up been just beans and rice ($30), which was very below average tasting. Would not recommend over other places.

The first thing walking in is how beautifully decorated the place is with its intricate woodwork and colourful carpets hanging on the walls, paintings and tassels, Turkish instruments and jeweled colourful chandeliers. The lighting is quite dim and dark but the glow from the painted glass lamps on the walls is sufficient enough. We ordered a banquet and also had some questions regarding food intolerances and food allergies which the staff were happy to speak to us about and accommodate accordingly. The food was plentiful and delicious. The price was slightly high at $35 per person but there was enough left over to be packed into take away containers for tomorrow's lunch. The only two things that put a dampener on the evening were since we stayed till almost closing time and were the last people in the place, they started mopping the floor before we left and my poor brother slipped over quite badly. They were apologetic but he was embarrassed and hurt his back quite badly. The other was someone was smoking (hopefully outside) but the smoke smell filled the restaurant quite significantly as we were starting dessert and was extremely off-putting. Overall though it was a nice evening despite those two incidents and i'd go back again at some stage. I hear there are belly dancing performances on Saturday evenings so that would be a delightful experience

I came here for a drink last Friday night. Service was poor, drink overpriced and the tide was out. What annoyed me most was staff smoking right outside, talking loudly among themselves, and blowing smoke in people's faces as they walked past. I will not be coming back here again.

Enjoyed a tasty meal for two and will go back. We arrived later than expected from a movie and the kitchen was preparing the last few desserts as we walked in. Despite this they were happy to serve us and at no point did we feel rushed. After a brief glance at the menu, we ordered the Patates Káftesi, Manti and Güveç. We throughly enjoyed all three and the private dining experience.

To management you need to find better wait staff. The guy working last night does not know how to wait tables. We waited close to 25mins no drinks orders taken, no entree orders taken. Clearly this guy is doing damage to your business and reputation. When we left to walk out your waiter didn't apologise or anything. He smiled and smirked replying ok bye bye. Management, for a good example on how to run a turkish restaurant I suggest you head over to Woden and eat at the Turkish Pide House. Shame as we had a really nice experience here a few years back. Definitely won't be coming back or recommending you guys.

Fantastic food! Head down on a Saturday night and you will get a belly dancing show to watch during your meal!!
