Review Cit Restaurant - Canberra

The Maitre De checked on our booking name and the number of people, then showed us to our table. He reminded us that there was a special. Which was 2 courses plus a free glass of anything for $20.00. Three courses for $30.00 and no free wine. My entre was a zucchini tartlet, my friend's was 2 little snakes of interesting fish. We had Salmon for mains. Service was excellent.

Beautiful food that was very well prepared. The only negative was the food came out too quickly. The wait staff was were well-presented and were interested in your views about food and your favourite dishes. The sweet words one of the absolute highlights of the menu. This is a great training venue with beautiful food. I'm looking forward to coming back at another time to enjoy the magnificent food.

Great dining experience in a well maintained and non pretentious environment, great food comes with great customer service. Loved every dish from entree to desert, cured salmon, grilled snapper and brulee. Feels good that we are helping students to apply their skills in real life experience.

It's a nice place. A miniature of a fancy restaurant. You are serviced by students who are extremely polite. The food is good and very cheap. A three course lunch will cost you $25 sans drink. Will definitely come back

Fine dining at budget prices.

Bought takeaway meals and the taste was very poor. Whoever is teaching the apprentices needs to up their game. Last year the food was so much better.

Reasonable food and cheap price but such a long wait!! Maybe we weren't the typical crowd, with young children.

The CIT Reid campus restaurant continues to offer excellent value for a two ($20) or three ($25) course lunch (Tuesday or Friday) or dinner (Thursday). It’s a seasonal menu, that is the same in June as it was in April, with slightly different presentations and a new set of staff.

Booking a table at the CIT Reid campus restaurant for lunch on Tuesday or Friday, or dinner on Thursday, is an excellent way to share a fine dining restaurant experience with friends, at mid-range restaurant prices. At the same time, you will be supporting a great concept, creating a real-life environment for students to practice and hone their hospitality skills. The seasonal menu, offering two courses for $20 or three courses for $25, changes every few months and is linked to on the CIT website. Each course offers three choices including a vegetarian option and plenty of gluten free options.

Have you ever wanted to try a degustation but couldn’t really afford one? If you like elegantly presented food at an affordable price, I have found the perfect place! The CIT restaurant in the Reid Campus offers a very affordable lunch menu that changes on a regular basis (changing every school term). You can have one course for $15, two courses for $20 or three courses for $25. Yep, you read that correctly. 3 courses for $25! Unheard of in Canberra.
