Review 65 Northbourne Restaurant And Wine Bar - Canberra

A great restaurant and bar that does everything well. Exquisite selection of entrees, tantalising mains and delightful deserts. Go for the entrees of oysters, scallops wrapped in prosciutto, Sashimi... These are delectable - Light, flavoursome and delicate. Wait staff are friendly and happy to give recommendations and also make drinks to what ever you fancy. Give them a challenge on creating one for you and be surprised. Very relaxed atmosphere and located on the corner of Northbourne Ave and Rudd Street.

What a delightful evening. All the staff are friendly, professional and very helpful, as you need help here with a very extensive menu. I always love a restaurant with an open kitchen, showing they have nothing to hide. The food was fresh, clean and very tasty and the serving size was very generous. The service was excellent and on the ball. Canberra is a difficult place to dine but 65 Northbourne is a place you can go to and enjoy both service and food.

Couldn’t be happier. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was incredible, and the place it beautiful. Ambient lighting and a wonderful piano player made this location a stand out as well. An instant new favorite for when we are next in town. We will undoubtedly be back.

David and his team gave exceptional service from the minute we walked in the door. All staff so friendly and engaging and were happy to have a chat and a laugh. Food was amazing, fresh and well presented. As for David’s cocktails, not enough adjectives to give them credit.

I have dined out on a number of occasions at 65 Northbourne, I am always great at the door by the friendly and welcoming staff shown to my table. The wait staff are well manned and well dressed and are always polite and that’s before you get to the outstanding menu selections the standard of food produced from their kitchen is second to none all dishes are plated to impress and the quality of ingredients shines through. Don’t forget it’s a wine bar and they have something for everyone. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant any higher perfect for an intimate setting right up to a party setting. Thank you to all the staff

The service here was great and the drinks were phenomenal. Felt so welcome, the manager was such a nice bloke. And the people behind the bar had exceptional customer service. 5 stars aren't enough to rate this place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will definitely be coming back 😁😁😁😁

Four stars, would have been five but… Two floor staff run off their feet, a shortage of staff can’t be blamed on the business given the current economy but there was someone who appeared to be a “manager” wearing a suit (had a beard) walking around telling the staff what to do: not helping, not assisting customers, not making for a better experience for anyone including his own staff. He was standing in the bar drinking wine while people waited for their drink orders. The food was good, it was fine dining but still felt like warm comfort food, the drinks selection was good and the staff that actually do work were fantastic, even the chef was friendly as he looked over the orders and engaged with the customers through the pass. There was a pianist which was a nice touch, the tables were lovely and everything was clean. I would love to see the big fella pitch in and help his staff a bit more, they are clearly high value because they did not falter when dealing with patrons.
