Review Korbq - Canberra

This was a fun experience. The beef was delicious and the spicy fried chicken was yum. The range of soju was good, I recommend the peach. There are a few things that need improvement. The table was really sticky, the menu was really dirty and the bathroom was pretty gross. They don't even have sanitary bins. The light above the table doesn't work, would have been cool to see the restaurant all lit up. Near the front of the store is just a whole bunch of cleaning and junk being stored. Kinda unappealing to see that when you first walk in. Apart from that, the service was good, the food came out in a timely manner and it was reasonable pricing. We got the 4 person banquet for 5 people, it was plenty of food.

I was looking to dine in in a Korean restaurant and found this place. The place was really nice with good staff and amazing food. The menu of this place was very different and unique. The food tastes delicious and good quantity. And the location is perfect easy parking and a short walking distance from Parking and also Canberra centre.

Good prices, I over-ordered thinking portions would be on the small side. I was wrong 😂 Tip, if you’re a chilli-fiend, ask up front. I ordered kimchi fried rice and had to add bimbibap sauce to make it spicy. On the other hand, I asked for the chilli chicken to be hot and I got it 🥵😁

Staffs were nice and polite. We ordered kimchi soup ( kimchi chigae) and Korean fried chicken. Unlike many Korean restaurants I visited , I am very surprised that kimchi chigae did not came with rice and other side dishes. This is a bit odd . Menu was pricey and taste ( kimchi chigae ) was okay. Fried Chicken was bit smelly , not so sure if it was old meat or something else .

Coming at 6p.m on a Wednesday night and we had the best Korean food ever, side dishes are on the small portions but the meat’s very fresh and it had a delicious charcoal after taste flavor. Especially the salt and pepper squid entree is a must try. The beef soup is full of flavour, tender beef and soft glass noodles are chewy.Recommended!

Bad value for money. Main courses do not come with any sides like rice etc. Exorbitant prices for extras. Got charged 5$ each for 5 individual lettuce leaves. Do not recommend. Go to Dickson for Korean food.

KorBQ is an ok place for kbbq. It’s a bit expensive for what you get and not as good as the ones in Dickson, but it does the job. I tried one of their set banquets and the food was pretty decent. It could do with some better ventilation/fans and more staff though.

Was in Canberra for a work conference and went to this restaurant with a colleague and had a wonderful mean. The restaurant was spacious and very pleasant. Staff were helpful and kind. The restaurant was lovely, lively and staff friendly and accommodating. We received fast table service despite arriving 20 minutes early for our booking. Definitely recommended it if you're after some Korean BBQ! :)

The food itself was good but portion was tiny compared to the price. Wouldn’t recommend the ox tongue nor the BBQ, but would recommend ordering their stir fried dishes such as japche or black bean sauce noodles. The service was alright, not the best but I wouldn’t complain much.

Pete and I had a fabulous meal at Kor BQ. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We had a variety of dishes all of which were delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Tried this new restaurant last week. Great food, very good staff. Meat quality was the best I had in Canberra. However you have to share a table with others when they are busy, i don't like it as a concept.

Fantastic. We had a great time, the service was exceptional, we only wished we could've eaten everything on the menu! Thanks to the staff we'll certainly be back ďż˝

Honestly the best Korean food I've ever had! Not too spicy or salty. The atmosphere was great and waiters were super nice and gave us great recommendations. Would definitely recommend

I've been here twice in the past week. The first time I went for lunch and had the ox bone soup. The broth was pretty good in flavour, and there was lots of meat and noodles inside. The cheese bibimbap and regular bibimbap were also really good, and the presentation of the food was excellent too. I went back to try the charcoal bbq a day later. The meat servings were generous and well-priced, and the dipping sauces were good, though I would've liked to have the option to dip into salt/pepper too. I was a little disappointed at the small serve of kimchi (which was really delicious) and would like to see a larger option for a table of six. I really enjoyed the roasted garlic, but there weren't many other options to order banchan (side dishes) to go with the bbq. I would've liked to have had some lettuce to make wraps and maybe another type of kimchi. These are things that can be added though, and after a week of trade, the staff were doing pretty well too. Next time I'd like to try the desserts! Overall I've had a couple of good experiences and look forward to returning :)

We visit this restaurant every Tuesday night since we found this place, and each time the food has been amazing with no exception. The meat was fresh and full of flavour. Very good pricing for all the good part of beef you got.

My sister and I celebrated our birthdays with our family and we absolutely loved it. The staff were super helpful and the meals were delicious. Would definitely come back ďż˝ Thanks for having us

Some of their dishes were quite innovative and surprisingly taste good. Like their BBQ, meat is tender, flavourful, and good price. $21 for a T-bone steak.

Two combinations that made the ultimate dish. Cheese and Bimbimbap. The newest dish to hit Canberra! Gotta try it! And believe me you will not be disappointed!
