Review Grill'd Woden - Canberra

Where do I start... 10 staff on, place had about 4 people in when we ordered. Food took 30 mins to come out and was then cold. Luckily for my pregnant wife the chicken was warm at least. Zucchini chips were inedible due to the caked on salt which was well over the top (as seen in photo). Young waiter at least tried to help by asking how the meal was and offering a replacement so hats off to him. Waited for 20 mins for replacement chips which didnt arrive before we decided to leave and tell the young lady at the door to cancel them. Unfortunately this isnt the first bad experience I've had with Grill'd but you'd think after 2 years since last visiting that something would have changed. It has, its worse. Edit: Forgot to add, some of the staff couldn't be bothered to wear their masks properly in line with COVID requirements. Half hanging down over their faces or necks while they were serving or cooking food.

First time eating in Grill’d Woden. I am a but disappointed with the chicken Burger. Chicken is bland no taste at all. It seems like they boiled it first put in the grilled and thats it. The name itself grill’d,You are going to expect that it is freshly cooked from the grilled. But it is not that makes chicken very dry. But all the staff are friendly and accomodating trying their best to do a good customer service even if they are very busy. Onion ring is pretty good!!

Great burgers - we got the impossible burgers which always hit the spot. Chips were not bad onion rings yummy but were probably the end of the packet with strange burnt crispy bits. Staff were very friendly and attentive although person taking our order seemed like they'd had enough which on a Sunday night in Woden when it's quite quiet seems understandable.

Vegan burger was really good. But worst customer experience ever with a rude member of staff who clearly has misplaced anger her life. Not at all kid friendly because of this. Our son was misbehaving no more than the average 5yr old. We disciplined him fine, no problem, when we noticed what he was doing. She took it upon herself to literally yell at us "control your son!" She had absolutely no customer service skills and really shouldn't be talking to customers. The manager did completely nothing and watched the whole thing. So yeah, don't take your kids there if Scary Burger-Making Lady is there. Wouldn't want to rouse the beast again.

Don’t know where to begin went for a birthday dinner will never return again. Had a number of other customers food brought to our table they had no idea where the food and drinks were meant to go. Meals were given very staggered Kids meals came out last the chicken bites were very hard my son struggled to bite into them. Burgers came out freezing the bun was hard as rock, onion rings came out freezing(after sent back they came out black not edible at all!).Chips where the only edible item we received. Our sweet potato chips to share came out as one ended up sending back as the came out black we still then sat there for a further 15mins waiting for the sweet potato chips to come back out ended up giving up and asked for a refund and left. Waiter staff we had tried his best could tell he was new. The cooks should really check the food before it be taken to customers.

This place is awesome. I organised a pick-up and the food was being freshly made just as I got there. The food was fantastic. The staff were friendly. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be going back.

We are frequent diners at Grill'd at other locations but tried the Woden venue as we were travelling. It was a quiet evening and we ordered three burgers from the plant based menu and asked for a couple of minor swaps to vegan cheese and mayo which are offered as options. The staff, bar one genuinely helpful gentleman seemed completely confused on what burger patty goes on their own set plant based menu options (at one point coming over to us while we were waiting and asking us the name of the patty they should be using??). One of our burgers came out with a veggie patty which I did not order and the other two the staff seemed unsure whether the other two were the plant based option (Impossible patty) or not. These might seem like minor gripes but after frequenting other Grill'd restaurants I was pretty appalled about the service at Woden. When customers order burgers you very clearly offer on your menu and have dietary specifications it's really important you can serve them with confidence - it's not okay to leave us wondering if what we are eating will make us sick or not. There are some fabulous Grill'd venues elsewhere so check them out 🙂 and thank you to the one member of staff who eventually came over and clarified what we were served so we could eat, I appreciated it so much!

Had the crispy bacon and cheese burger on sesame seed bun made of, beef, crispy bacon, tasty cheese, lettuce, tomato, spanish onion, relish & herbed mayonnaise. The burger was juicy and went down well with a soft drink. It was not busy at the time (approx 2pm) and service was friendly and fast. Would definitely try it again! Thank you Grill'd Woden!
