Great place to try out the authentic Thai cuisine in Canberra. The staff is very friendly and lovely ambiance. The food is great and they are very transparent about the ingredients so vegetarians can enjoy their meal not having to worry about food being cooked in oyster or fish oil ;p
Went for lunch the other day to show Lao food to my friends and it was amazing. Food was very tasty and authentic. I would recommend that to everyone

I went there for lunch last week and omg!!! Them food was so amazing. Their SomTum Laos just blows my mind away. The Laos sausage was so good as well as crispy soft shell crab in curry sauce. The service was great. Would love to come back!!
Was a little hard to find however totally worth it. I had Chicken Yellow Curry and Coconut rice and oh my it was so good. Made me feel like I was back in Thailand.
Customer service was also fantastic!

Cannot express the freshness and deliciousness of Baitong. Most amazing Thai food especially my favourite dish Pad Thai Chicken. Definitely will visit again :)
Currently my fave restaurant in Canberra! Laos and Thai food are similar, and even though Bai Tong offers both, but be bold and order the Laos version of things. You will not be disappointed! The Laos version of papaya salad is amazing. Best papaya salad I've ever tried. Hormok is another one of my fave dish. Service is always decent, place is big and clean.
This was THE most flavoursome Thai Resturant I've been to. HIGHLY recommended. Hor Mok Fish was great as was the Soft Shell Crab with basil.
Pleasantly surprised. I'd walked past this restaurant a few times and finally had an oportunity to check it out. We ordered the Hor Mok Fish which was packed with flavour – mainly chilli and coriander. Delicious! Quite a small portion but enough for the two of us. And the marinated grilled pork neck with tamarind sauce was tender and tasty. Very friendly service. Good value for money. I’d definitely go back to try out the other dishes.

Delicious, healthy and fresh with exotic ingredients. Stunningly cheap prices, I would pay 25% more. It is a gem in the urban jungle.
A lovely meal. Great flavours. The crying tiger has enough spice to bring a tear to my eye, the Nan Kao was delicious and the Hor Mok chicken a Lao delight. Remove the TV and I would eat here every week.
Great food & service!. Ate here the other night and found it to be absolutely delicious! The massaman curry was one of the best I've ever eaten, and the starters were great too (curry puffs are delish). Fast & polite service, recommended!
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the good was. This place is a little hidden gem in Weston Creek. Good food at good prices. Best of all, the waitstaff are so friendly and polite. Apologising for the wait (there really was not much of a wait) as the fish had to be steamed for a while. Will definitely be going back to this place.

Yes my friend and I have been here many times (see my previous blog post here) but after a few months eating else where, we were craving different dishes but the same restaurant – Baitong Lao & Thai Cuisine.
