Review Ramentic - Canberra

Ramen was tasty. Waiting time was about 20 minutes or so for dinner. The egg was served whole and the inside was still a bit cold. Other Japanese restaurants serve them already split. Friendly and helpful staff. Car park can be an issue in Braddon.

The ramen here is pleasant and inoffensive. However, this means it is very safe and kind of boring. Having lived for some time in Sydney where they are blessed with a wonderful variety of truly excellent ramen offerings, I can’t help but think that there is a lot more room to be more experimental with the menu to have more character. This is especially going to be relevant with new ramen places beginning to open up in Canberra.

Wow it was beautiful food as I had Dry Noodles with chicken which on the menu had Pork. The lovey chef has made specially as my request when I can’t have pork! Great customer service and friendly staff also professional hygiene too!💖

Ordered the ramentic ramen and spicy ramentic ramen with edamame and gyoxa for starters. I prefer the spicy one as I found the ramentic a bit too porky (but maybe only me). And service is quite slow today, unsure whether its short staffed or something else

Took 30 mins to make two Ramen due non peak time, very little broth, no want extra $$ broth when I order extra noodle. Taste not good, non authentic Ramen.

Good service but ramen was just...kinda bland. Not a fan of the thin noodles that they use. And the gyozas really need to be pan fried instead of just boiled/steamed

Love the soup base! Recommend ramentic ramen (I guess it’s signature) love the soup base, tastes so well. Better than a lot of restaurants I had in Sydney.

Loved the dry noodles with spicy pork! I also had the pork bone broth on the side and it was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely come back to try out other menu items.

Best ramen I've had in Canberra! The broth is tasty and the portion is good. Will definitely be back esp with the weather getting colder.

After a day of headaches and report writing I met my roommate for the best ramen we've ever had in Canberra! We got the pork bone broth, which is the first night it's been done at Ramentic and it was heavily. The staff where amazing too, so welcoming and happy to chat, we felt like we where visiting friends. Also get the pork bun! Fluffy and perfect. 10/10

Way overpriced for what it was. Noodles weren’t cooked properly, wasn’t a huge fan of the flavour but that’s just my preference. And I also got food poisoning from your food so that’s a big one. Safe to say I probably won’t be coming back

Ramen flavour was good, but small serving size and very few fillings for $19 is pricey as. Sides were in no way worth it. Will consider returning if student deals are introduced or price decreased. Staff very nice and nice environment!

Good tonkotsu soup base, average ramen, really overpriced. $18 for a bowl and another $3 for an egg? That's way too much.

Best ramen in canberra - super tasty broth and bouncy noodles
Authenticity
Real pork broth and quality ramen. I would come back just even to drink the broth. I like how they lined up the ramen cooking books on the shelf to tell me that they did study how to make ramen properly.

The menu has been cut back (they don't even have gyoza) and the opening hours have been cut back to 12-2:30 and 6-9 (short hours have become a real problem in Canberra), and the prices are about 40% more than good ramen in Sydney. Still, the ramen was much better than I was expecting for Canberra - a rich, heavy pork broth (not delicate like many Japanese ones but I liked it), ok pork, very good egg, medium firmness noodles, and the spicy mince was actually spicy. Service was fast and they have a lot of stools at the two benches, so it's easy to drop in for a quick lunch.
Eat Canberra
I think that Ramentic serves up one of the best ramens in Canberra. It's very similar to ramen that I've eaten in Japan however it's more expensive than other ramens in Canberra. But it's a case of you get what you pay for. It's a small space on Lonsdale St and they have a range of different broths to choose from.

Really delicious ramen. Small spot, casual dining. Service was super helpful and friendly but boy it’s not cheap. The mushroom ramen was great but I feel there could’ve been much more going on in terms of toppings and having to pay more for an egg? Didn’t love paying more than $20 for a bowl of takeaway soup broth but the noodles were sooo good I’d probably do it again

Seriously the best and most authentic ramen in Canberra. Definitely worth a check out especially if you want a good spicy ramen. I enjoyed a chook shoyu - their broth is on the milder taste side and the noodles were cooked perfectly. There was little to no wait time after ordering.
