Billy has a heart of gold. After conversing with billy over a couple of golden crusted tasty potato scallops, I mentioned I’m down on my luck and need a place to stay. Without hesitation billy took me next door to the IGA, bought me a fresh pack of bond street blues (25s if I remember correctly) and a slab of Carlton and let me stay on his couch for the night. Cheers billy

Eaten here twice and have been underwhelmed on both occasions. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired for one. There seafood basket is almost inedible. The batter is so thick you can barely even taste the meat, then once you get to the meat it ain’t fresh. NOT pleasant. The pizza was is so damn oily it’s a joke. Not only that, but it’s salty as hell. I’d rather go to dominos and that’s saying something because they’re trash. Steer clear…

People rave about this place so i thought id give it a go… the fish tasted off and was so fried that we could have used it as a hokey puck i threw it out because feeding it to the kids felt like abuse… the scollops were also hard as rocks! And the service was Like talking to a brick wall… I honestly had no idea if what i was saying was being heard or if he was deaf… it also felt like i was inconveniencing him by ordering lunch… so so so disappointed and i have no clue what people like about the place a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favour and drive the extra km to the lanyon takeaway place.

Billy Banks is an experience you would pay extra for overseas and people giving negative reviews just don't understand what they are getting for free. The rude customer service and vibe is part of the Billy Banks legendary experience. He is a local icon and household food staple that'll give ya more chips than your little grubby hands can hold.

The lady seemed nice and polite but better order over the phone before visiting. I saw a lot of people in and out but really the food was 👎👎. Don't recommend their seafood, the batter is way too thick. The chips didn't have the crunch and the scallops were just ewww. I mean, I like scallops and sea food. The burger was alright though.

The place has recently changed hands. The prices are still the same however the portions are very stingy. Billy did it better.

Store has recently changed ownership, rebranded and changed up a lot of their menu.
Their "largest" chips is now smaller than the smallest size that Billy sold, and almost the same price as Billy's large size.
Almost everything on the menu is now more expensive, for a smaller portion that never seems to be cooked as well as Billy did.
At least the store looks nice now, I guess?

Love Billy, always puts extra toenails on my burger with the "lot".
