We used a Groupon voucher to dine here, and went on a Friday evening. There was not such a great range of foods as advertised- and the vision of a great range of Chinese and enticing roast meats was just not there. There were dried up remains of some Chinese dishes- which were slowly replaced bit by bit during our visit, and the choices beyond that were not great. The tables are laid out like a giant canteen- it does not have the feel of a restaurant. Our son liked the fried food bit- nuggets/chips etc- which we were disappointed to see, as we try to encourage a wider approach to tasting foods. Given the price we paid using Groupon- it was just about OK- but would not go there again- even using a voucher.

Ever since the restaurant is under new management, I've seen a remarkable difference in the service they provide. The orientation of the food is now sensational, it is presented more neatly and tastes of better quality. Believe me, you won't be disappointed!

You could tell all the food was old cos it was dry and looked hard. Even the fried food looked liked it was deep fried in old oil. Glad we bought a voucher from living social to try it cos I wouldn't pay full price.

Found 2 Cockroaches after one bite!
We went to Top Taste for yum cha lunch & we ordered some siumai, ha gaw & bbq pork buns. They also gave us some soy sauce in a small jug. After i had my first bite of siumai, i found the first small cockroach at the bottom of my siu mai. We called the waiter and he removed the siumai & the cockroach from the table. Next I took the ha gaw & dipped it in soy sauce when i found the second dead cockroach in the soy sauce. When we told the waiter, his response was: we cant control them, because the weather is hot. Everyone in our table was put off by the bugs and we left....never to come back to this place! Don't waste ur time & money in this restaurant!

They seated us at a reserved table even though there was other empty tables then asked us to move halfway though lunch! There was a good choice of food but it was all poor quality.

Cheap and nasty. Bought a Groupon voucher after reading a good review. What was that person thinking? The food that was meant to be hot was Luke warm. Everything had been sitting there for hours. Food was dry and unpleasant. I don't know what the pumpkin soup was, but it didn't taste like pumpkin and there's not even an excuse of cutting costs since pumpkin soup should be really cheap to make. Even the soup was cold. There was plenty of food but almost nothing was worth the calories. Disappointing.

For the price using discount vouchers, this is definitely worth the money! Especially considering the "extra dishes" on offer on Saturday nights.<br/>As far as buffet style dining goes, this is probably one of the better places in Canberra. <br/>Great value.

Blaring Arabic music on arrival . Staff was not inviting and looked very unprofessional. Did not know what to do with the voucher.Presentation of food (what there was of it) was not good. Taste of food was ordinary. Would not rush back even with the discount.

Every day I<br/>spend in Canberra I just hate this city more and more. The atmosphere and food<br/>quality is an absolute nightmare. This restaurant just added to this<br/>reputation. The hot food was dried out and nearly cold. It was just a mix of<br/>everything from chicken nuggets to cooked prawns with fries some nasty Peking duck.<br/>I’ll never go there again. Half-finished my beer, crossed the street straight<br/>to Coles to buy some Lindor chocolates to at least have something nice for<br/>dessert.

Good if you like quantity over quality. Cheap for buffet with a big selection. However if you want proper dishes I'd suggest going to another restaurant.

First time... Won't be the last. My first time visiting for very large family gathering for Saturday lunch. Amazing! Very impressed - good food with a wide range. I read the bad reviews, but totally not my experience at all. The only thing I would suggest is tea being offered on the table, but with be telling my friends to visit.

TERRIBLE. Food was average, with some being totally tasteless. Staff were not welcoming and ignored dirty dishes while talking to each other. wont visit again

Terrible overcooked tasteless food made from cheap ingredients with no care. The restaurant was filthy. Deep fried frozen mass produced food that tastes like old oil. The ice cream was sour. I will never go back. Full of feral people stuffing their faces, touching food and pushing in. Absolute chaos.

Visited today with my family 18/4/15. Disappointed with the sea foods especially the crabs were nearly off and others were tasteless due to low quality of foods provided. Run out of some of the foods earlier. Staff are not welcoming! Will not go back again.

Disappoint. 5 people<br/>5 unsatisfied stomachs<br/>Actually had to remove food from my mouth 3 times from terrible texture, flavour and everything seemed par cooked and the Bain Marie was definitely below required temperature for keeping food hot. <br/>Rice was completely inedible from undercooking.<br/>Never returning as when I told staff they did not replace any of the food in the servery.

Awsome Food - Excellent Value. Awsome variety - Prawns are to die for. Mussels wow!. Deserts fantastic! Cant be beaten in Canberra!

Restaurant smells like seafood. Food just doesn't sit right, I could smell nothing but seafood throughout the restaurant (sefood makes me sick) everything but the salads looked deep fried a heart attack waiting to happen . I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone I know.

Eastern Tiger provide an Asian all you can eat buffet! There’s a LOT of food. There are plenty of deep fried items like chips, wedges, fried calamari, samosas and spring rolls. And deep fried prawn cutlets, fried chicken wings, chicken nuggets, fried dim sims, fried dumplings (unfortunately stuffed with imitation seafood sticks) and prawn crackers. I found the baked cheese mussels in this section too – very cheesy! Then there’s an assortment of meats – sausages, roast pork, roast beef, roast lamb, ham, BBQ steak and BBQ chicken. And yes there are two types of gravy to go with all of that. At the next station, you’ll find the Asian meats like BBQ pork, roast pork belly and roast duck. I kept missing the duck meat whenever I went to refill the plate, but the BBQ pork was nice.
