Stopped in here while just on an stroll down Lonsdale and picked up a blonde hot chocolate for my partner and I. We drank them as we continued to walk down the street abs were absolutely blown away… we both agreed it was the best hot chocolate we’ve ever had in our lives. I had picked up some chocolates to put in my nieces and nephews Easter baskets and now it’s everything we can do not to eat them ourselves!

Based in Canberra, Enigma fine chocolates specialises in selling artisan chocolates that won’t just find in your regular local store. They have a range options like chocolate bars, truffles, and small bite size pieces made using high quality chocolate.
You’ll find the shop in the CBD in the suburb where of Braddon in the Ori building near Frugi dessert laboratory. This family owned business focuses on using local produce from the region in addition to cocoa beans sourced from around the world. A mural of cocoa beans and trees adorns the wall and you feel like you’re in a forest.
With a range of unique flavours, there’s sure to be something up your alley. We buy a range including whisky, lamington, peanut butter, champagne and passion fruit to name a few. Rich and complex in flavour and smooth in their consistency.
The store looks like an art shop from the front, which is essentially what it is. These chocolates are works of art in edible form. We thoroughly recommend a visit.

SIMPLY THE BEST! Enigma Fine Chocolates are amazing. They have an wonderful range to suit all tastes and budgets. Stuart does an amazing job in creating such great flavour combinations and theming chocolates to tie in with special occasions such as Christmas, Halloween, Valentines Day etc. The truffles he creates are absolutely delicious. The alcohol truffles are divine. It is my go to for ALL chocolate and is especially great for gifting boxes of truffles and chocolates. I love supporting handmade local products which is why I shop here. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Great chocolate can be had for $3 you can have a taste. Most liquor ones are pretty strong! The hot chocolate is very thick and creamy and delish!

Stayed just around the corner from Enigma Chocolates on my one and only visit to Canberra and glad to have found this store (even ordered chocolates twice since despite living interstate)! The individual chocolates/truffles are some of the best I've had in Australia, the single origin blocks have complex and unique flavour profiles and there are many other great treats available. The store is very cute too! If you love chocolate and live in (or are visiting) Canberra this is a must stop!
