One of my favourite spots because there is so much variety on the menu! Personally I love the chicken cellophane noodles from here as the stock is just right and it's so perfect for a cold windy day
This was one of the eateries selected by Fairfield City Council for me to experience as part of a series of marketing videos featuring yours truly and promoting postcode 2166; the place is famous for its intriguing take on Vietnamese beef pho - the beef slices are stir-fried with garlic and butter before being added to the bowl of noodles. It is apparently a regional iteration of pho, and I've never tasted anything like it. Definitely a must-try if you visit. They are also famous for their fried flaky spring rolls, though I didn't try them because I don't eat pork :)
One of the minority northern vietnamese restaurants in Sydney. Spacious with lots of tables. Quick to get a seat. Menu has pictures so you know what you're ordering. Lots of choices. Chicken is organic, loving the hoi nam chicken with fish and dipping sauce. Tomato rice with beef is good. Loving the lemon dipping sauce with satay (you need to request this). Soup is light and fragrant. Spring rolls is on the thinner side as they use rice paper as opposed to egg pastry. Drinks are good too. Try the lychee and freshly squeezed lemon with soda water.
They also do a drink using pennywort. It's a health drink. Must try!
$8 pho on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is amazing value for money.
Great quality pho - one of my favourite pho restaurants in Sydney! Very clean restaurant for the area and decently sized servings.
My go to for chicken pho and fresh orange juice. Chopped chicken and innards pho is the way to go!!! Quick service and so good. Super cheap and worth all the money
If it's your first time and you're craving pho, then you gotta take the pho challenge. Eat it all under 11 mins and your meal is free. Plus you get to keep the massive bowl. I tried it twice and failed twice. Gonna keep trying til I succeed!!!
These Northern Vietnamese spring rolls are amazingly delicious! They are wrapped with thin rice paper and are super crunchy and addictive with the special dipping sauce!đ

Huong Xua, which means fragrance of the past, serves up all the standards but with a northern Vietnamese influence. That means the pho is cleaner, clearer â five spice and other spices are less prominent. That doesnât mean itâs any less tasty â youâre meant to appreciate the subtle flavours.
Very busy place, not that great customer service however this could be due to the busy environment. Very good food, offering a wide range of options. Loving the $7 pho every tuesday
ahhhh northern Vietnamese food, the style and flavours are different to southern dishes. The method of eating their Vercelli noodles with grilled dishes are more technical and the dipping fish sauce is more lighter than southern.Recommended dishesBun Oc (Sea snail spicy soup) with Vercelli noodlesBun thit or nem (Vercelli noodles with grilled meat or spring rolls)Most people are fond with the northern style PHO but its too bland for me, so I stick with my 2 favourite dishes. The rice dishes are not so bad, most people like it but im not a rice person! HAHA yes im a weird Asian! Until next time .... keep eating!!!!
Ventured out with a couple of mates for one of my friend's undertaking of the big Pho challenge. I was front row to the 11 minute massacre before watching him wipe off the sweat in defeat at the litres of beef broth left over. Not wanting to leave it at that we will probably be here again for the same reason.
Oh and my regular sized bowl of Pho was enjoyable along with the meal-in-itself durian and avaocado shake.
Best Chicken Pho in Sydney. Chicken Pho is the best in Sydney.

Chicken Pho. Chicken broth and chicken meat is excellent
In case you missed it, part I can be read HERE . Weâre not done, not even close. After a grand feast at Bau Truoung, we moved on to the next restaurant on our itinerary. Keep in mind that we were running a bit behind schedule and that we had barely begun to process our food. This was going to be a tough day of trying to eat as much delicious food as possible. âŠ.did I really just say that? Diem Hen (translation: meeting point) is one of the veteran restaurants on the Canley Heights strip. Its undergone quite a renovation since it first opened on the strip but the food has remained consistently excellent. We had two dishes at Diem HenâŠI know what youâre thinking âwhy do I sense dread coming from the normally jovial iFatâ Why, Iâll explain right now my dear reader who has apparently undergone psychiatric training. Long story short: I was really full. I always watch shows like Masterchef and see the judges take tiny bites of the contestantsâ dishes and smirk. What I didnât understand was t

Fellow I Ate My Way Through contributor Dave took on the pho challenge, and had this to say: Huong Xua has been around for as long as I can remember and for me has always been the place to go for the best Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) in town. It has always been a family owned restaurant and with James taking the lead on operations in the last few years you can really see how he has lifted the family business to a whole new level â all while maintaining the high standards of food that Huong Xua is known for. Before I get into the Huong Xua Pho Challenge I just have to put this out there: BEST spring rolls in Sydney (except for my mumâs). The mix of ground meats, carrots and mushroom wrapped in crispy rice paper is the food of the Gods! I love spring rolls in general and eat them anytime/anywhere I get a chance â so trust me when I say this⊠Huong Xua spring rolls are amazing and I would push my best friendâs girlfriend into the dirt to get another plate of them. But onto the pho challenge: The Challenge The Huong Xua Pho Challenge is to finish a 2.5 Kilogram bowl of pho in less than 11 minutes. The breakdown of what youâll be faced with consists of the following: 500g of noodles 500g of meat (rare beef, tendons, meat balls and tripe) 1Âœkg of broth It doesnât sound too bad right? After seeing some of the stupidly big pho challenges overseas, James specifically designed this challenge to be somewhat âdo-ableâ whilst not being a complete waste of food for those who cannot finish it in time. Best of all this challenge only costs $17 which is a bargain for what you are getting anyway. The pho itself is fantastic â any pho expert will tell you that a good pho is judged on its broth. Needless to say the broth has a great balance between the herbs and beef bones which are simmered together for hours upon hours to bring out the flavours that have made Huong Xua so successful over the years. The Difficulty 1 minute: The bowl isnât the size of a bath tub so initially I felt that I coul
The de-facto place to go for reasonably-priced pho that punches way above its grade. Broth is less sweet than some of the other establishments but no less flavourful. Usually a line outside so be prepared to wait.
Cannot complain for the money! Stick to the basics and your sweet. I can level with the other comment on the spring rolls.. This is worth a look regardless!
