Loved everything! Great quality wagyu and sashimi, tasty side dishes, quick and friendly service, great smoke ventilation (did not smell like smoke after at all);
Be sure to ask for the time limit for buffet as it may vary due to covid restrictions
I really enjoy the food here however it is really over priced and that's why I don't eat here anymore.
There's also a long wait on weekends so be prepared!
All you can eat BBQ restaurant located in the center of Canley Vale, the place looks awesome and it reminds me of the Japanese BBQ in the city. The food was good, it lacks in variety in terms of red meat but the grade of the meat is really good. (To be continued)
Honestly, I love this place, every time I visit, I am welcomed by friendly staff. service is often quick, food is always fresh.
Price is abit more up there compared to other bbq.

Had the BBQ Buffet for $72 pp. Very pricey but it was my first time trying and I had a great experience. I found the quality of the beef better than the pork and really enjoyed the large variety of other dishes. My favourite was the wagyu short ribs and fingers. Japanese style is quite fatty if that’s your style. You get a decent portion size for each dish so it’s good to try everything and order more of what you like! Overall was pleasantly surprised but would not go here regularly because of the price. Would recommend for those looking to try Jap BBQ in the area. Jap BBQ around the city is generally $65 plus for the same style.
Amazing selection of dishes at RYOMA Japanese BBQ. Was lucky enough to try a range of their meat and seafood plates as well as their ready to serve menu.
Stand out dish of the night for me was the takoyaki as well as the wagyu beef. Drinks were refreshing and accompanied the hearty meal well. Staff were friendly and hospitable and service was super quick.
A great night with good food and even better company, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a fun night out!

I’ve been here a couple of times in the past but the most recent visit was outstanding. Service was a lot faster and the staff were more helpful. Food quality was also surprisingly better than past visits. We ordered the buffet menu option and loved the large variety in the menu. Although a tad expensive, I would say the buffet option is worth the price and suitable for occasional nights out.
Not bad tbh, came here for my birthday. Wagyu was decent, staff were super friendly. Some of the portions were way too small though. Overall not terrible

Great place to have dinner with your family and Friends. Got to try all their menu . The wagyu so good. The wakame salad and their salmon teriyaki also must try.
Don’t forget to other some watermelon Soju as well to wash Down all the Greasy Food :)
Good place and good Food
Has everything expected in a Japanese BBQ but even better with scallops, soft shell crab, sashimi and unlimited soft drinks for $65. Wagyu and rib fingers were really good and enjoyed the ice cream which came in tubs. Only downside was 1 ice cream per person and some orders were forgotten/lost, but that wouldn’t stop me from coming back. Would avoid coming during peak periods such as Friday/Saturday nights
To be honest, this restaurant is a little expensive with a party of 4 costing over $200.00 for dinner. There is a cheaper version of Ryoma next door but does not have the same items on the menu so this would have appealed to those wanting a cheaper meal, but if they lowered this outlet by $10.00 it would make much the difference for large parties and more in line with pricing of other high quality BBQ places.
Orders are taken from an Ipad at your table. Service is always fast and all items are brought out quickly.
They have increased their array of items of recent which is always nice to have more choices and the food quality is outstanding usually. However, the wagyu has changed of recent though and there is less marbling and fat content so I hope this may just have been the recent batch and will be returning to normal soon. I will continue to frequent the restaurant, maybe just a little more often if it was cheaper though! Great job all round otherwise though.
A little expensive for the area but quite expected for Japanese style BBQ restaurants. This little restaurant offers premium wagyu meat options and a great selection of seafood and sashimi. Don't know why the reviews are so poor for this place as this is definitely one of my favourite BBQ restaurants in the west!

They recently increased the buffet price to 65$ but I'd say that is fairly standard in price for Japanese BBQ in Sydney, considering Ryoma now has unlimited drinks. Regarding the time allocated for ordering food, 60 minutes is definitely too short as most places give at least 90 minutes. But food wise, the meat is good quality. It is probably an ideal place for people who only want to eat meat and fried foods because they have plenty of it. They've also improved the chicken karaage, which is now extremely juicy. If you go early enough, you won't experience any problems with service or speed of food arriving. Variety isn't the biggest, however it has the basics and I don't need to pay more than 70$ for BBQ which is already fine for me. The food deserves 4/5 as the beef is nice quality (my favourite being the rib finger) and the ice cream is pretty good (unfortunately only 1 per person). Although I wish they had more vegetable options like pumpkin and zucchini, overall its still a place I like to go back to every few months.
We weren't expecting much given that it's Canley Heights, between 2 people we opted for a la carte and got the pork belly, Wagyu, the corn and the cream coquette. For 2, this was exactly enough food and everything was just melt in your mouth tender, it was perfect. Our bill came up to
We always get the buffet when we go cause ordering from the a la carte menu is superrrrr expensive and portions are small. When we order the food comes out pretty much straight away. The quality of the meat is 5/5. They have a promotion going on at the moment for buy one get one free on drinks for buffet customers only. Good place to go for when you are craving BBQ but don't want to travel to Strathfield for it.
The meat here is really good and I enjoy the food every time I go but the service there needs to be improved! Every time we go, it takes a long time for someone to come over and take our orders considering we are on a time limit as well then next minute it's already last orders. We have been overcharged a few times so please check your bill carefully before you go. Staff could be more friendlier as well.
Have been to this Jap BBQ twice now and have not been disappointed with the dishes I order. Will probably be back next week with a group of my friends.
Meat here are great, good quality and great taste! Other dishes were alright, the price is abit expensive and our wait person overcharged us so make sure you check your bill. Not sure if they changed it but they charged us all for kimchi but we only wanted one plate 😂😂😂 until next time .... keep eating !!!
The restaurant has very high quality meat. I think the most favourite dish for me is the stone pot bibimbab w/yukke, and the salmon avocado & tofu salads! :)
Price decent and delicious wagyu beef. I was craving for BBQ, so me and my finance decided to try this new restaurant. We ordered a special wagyu beef set comes with two rice and miso soup, a soft shell crab, oysters with butter and two drinks. The wagyu beef was my favorite I love the beef it was so tender and juicy. I will definitely come back for them. The soft shell crab was average. I was pretty disappointed with the oysters with butter really small portion it tasted alright. overall I will surely recommend this place to my family and friends to try out their wagyu beef.
Great Japanese BBQ with quality meat. I've been to a lot of the Japanese BBQ joints around North Sydney and Crows Nest and this is probably one of the better ones out there. I think the only thing that seems to put people off is the fact that it's not all you can eat. Honestly though you can get full (and I mean really full) from just $40 and that's including drinks. Highly recommended!
