Review The Weston Eatery - Canley Vale

The BEST chilli scrambled eggs and shakshuka I’ve had! Super quick service too. Will definitely come back.

Great service! Bought my dog and they were happy to bring a table and bowl of water outside for us. Very friendly staff who happy to help accommodate. Food was delicious, we smashed our lunches! Such a great local cafe for Cabra

Such a beautiful cafe and amazing food. The staff are so lovely. The kitchen closes at 2pm but we were coming in a little past 2 so we called ahead to check and they were so accommodating, they kept the kitchen open late just for us. The food is so gorgeous aesthetically and tastes amazing, good portions and the prices are decent. Incredible service.

Excellent customer service from the moment you step in to walking out. The friendly casual vibe makes it all worth coming every morning for the coffee run. Coffee is superb and of course the service from Thanh and The Usual Cafe team!
Chelsea
The best cafe you can get in Cabramatta, with a beautiful aesthetic and delicious food at a reasonable price (compared to other cafes in Sydney). The food arrives quickly and it was an enjoyable experience. I ordered the Korean Chicken Burger and it also came with the side of fries for only a price of $17! Their drinks menu also had many options to choose from - I highly recommend ordering their dessert latte drinks (I ordered taro). Would go again!

Great food, service and price! Got the Tradie roll The roll was big and delicious with sausage, onion, bacon, egg, a hash brown and BBQ sauce. Would definitely go back.

Amazing and kind service. We felt comfortable even as the last ones sitting inside, we weren’t rushed out the door. Lovely food, beautiful atmosphere. Really can’t go wrong.
Jasmin
Shakshuka with sourdough bread - the flavours of the tomatoey spiced sauce was on point, but sadly the eggs were a bit over cooked. Corn fritters - Very tasty and visually appealing dish. I'd definitely come back to try all the other delicious dishes I saw on the menu! The cafe is airy with a lot of natural light. Very relaxed vibe. Definitely does not feel like you're in Cabramatta. Update: I went back a few more times, more pics to add

Been here for both brunch and dinner and both times staff were friendly and fun and the food was great. Highly recommend this to everyone especially the dirty waffles and the crispy chicken burger

Cute little joint down west. Staff are friendly and on the ball. The food is amazing. Highly recommend the salmon dish and the matcha hot cakes.
Sarah Faye Duong
Been a few times now and each time food has been amazing. Favourites are the chicken burger and salmon (which melts in your mouth). Can't go past the French toast for dessert. Must try!

Finally a great coffee place in Canley with friendly staff! The brekky "The One" croissant is mouth watering yummmmmm. Highly recommended!!

I came to this cafe with my friends during Moon Festival. It was quiet, but I had heard good things about the cafe through Instagram. First of all, the atmosphere of the cafe was not welcoming. I understand it was quiet, but it was really awkward. Only one dessert was available on the menu. My friend and I ordered the Matcha Hotcakes, which is alright. But, it took so long to make because we sat there for 30-40 minutes to receive our meals even though it was quiet. Next, time let your customers know before hand that some meals are not available, and try to at least have a welcoming atmosphere even though it's quiet.

Weston Eatery is a neat little cafe conveniently located next to the station. We ordered the shakshuka, carbonara pasta and popcorn chicken.
The shakshuka was delicious. My friend had the carbonara which she liked but found too heavy towards the end. The “popcorn chicken” had nice flavour and a bit of heat, however it was not popcorn chicken sized nor did it have the crispy fried skin as one would expect. The portion was also small for a “main” compared to our other “mains”.

An ok brunch place. I quite like their croissant with smoke salmon, nice and rich taste in mouth. But the sandwich was not my favourite, the steak is on the drier side for me, would prefer a juicier steak.

Walking into a cosy local gem, we arrived for brunch and ordered the French toast and salmon croquettes.

Although the dishes were creative and nicely presented, the food was average
The salmon croquette dish was tasty with the mayonnaise however it had some empty space, which made me feel like I was not getting my money's worth.

We would come back to try the other dishes.

Weston Eatery is one of my favourite cafes in the area! The staff are friendly and the cafe has such a great vibe. Their menu changes up every now and then but they’ve always got their basics. Today we got the Baked Eggs which we always love! The tomato base in this dish is perfect. We also tried the Funguy, which is compromised of my favourites: mushrooms, eggs, cheese and garlic oil!! It was a bit bland but I quite enjoyed it. The bread they used was amazing and the dish was the perfect size for someone who doesn’t want to get too bloated in the morning!! Good coffee. Highly recommend this cafe

Wow! Amazing atmosphere, service & food! One of the best Wagyu I have had. The beef tataki was an explosion of flavours. The squid ink pasta was to die for and the Creme Caramel was mouth watering! Can't wait to come in and try the breakfast/lunch menu!
Danica
We’re huge fans of the breakfast/brunch menu at The Weston Eatery because of the creativity behind the dishes so we were excited to hear that they were opening for dinner too.

We were impressed with the dinner menu! Beautifully served with great flavours. Our personal favourite was the beef tataki. The tang from the pickles perfectly complemented and cut through the fattiness of the wagyu.

We also always receive great service here. We’re essentially regulars now and the chef and staff are always lovely to chat to when we come in.

Would recommend and definitely coming back!

I ordered the matcha hotcakes and unfortunately they were a bit dense and lacked flavour. Overall dining experience was average. Would like to try there drink varieties next time.
Wilson Doan
Unfortunately this was a mediocre experience. Nothing left a big impression. The chicken burger was nice and juicy but the matcha pancakes were very dense and unpleasant to eat. Not sure if it was just a bad day at the kitchen. Sad.
Alice Chau Nguyen
I have been here once for brunch. Quite a relaxing atmosphere but it was a mediocre experience. The flavours were nice but it didn't leave a big impression.

Might visit again to give it another try

An absolute gem of a cafe! The coffee and chai latte were incredible, and the breakfast items were delicious right down to the very last bite. The atmosphere and decore were also a vibe. Don't come anywhere but here, such a surprise!

Tried the salmon and croquettes dish - first thing was the plate looked kinda empty with the big blank space. Iced mochas were ok.

Also bit pricey and had a bit of a wait despite not much people inside café.

Cosy cafe

The Weston Eatery is a small cafe serving an all day menu of breakfast, burgers, and even a poke bowl. It is a cosy cafe with modern furnishings. Not pram friendly. Not ideal for groups of any size.

I've been wanting to try this cafe for a while. We came for breakfast and it was busy. We didn't wait long for a table but it was a tight squeeze to fit the four of us including a high chair.

We had to place an order at the counter. We ordered to eat the Harvest Plate with an extra side of hash brown and Pork Belly. To drink, we ordered an extra hot Green Tea Latte, Orange Sky, and a House Made Lemonade. For desserts, we tried both the French Toast and Pannacotta.

The food didn't take long to arrive. The Harvest Plate was nice. The scrambled eggs were nice, soft and seasoned well. The bacon was cooked well, not burnt. The kale was cooked well and seasoned nicely. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted more. I don't like grilled tomatoes so not sure how they rated. The hash browns were also cooked well. I was suprised to see x2 extra hasbrowns for the price as a side, normally I would only receive one. The bread was not toasted enough so it was a bit chewy. There was only one thing missing from the plate, mushrooms. Would have loved to have had mushrooms.

The Pork Belly was presented and tasted nice but it was a small serving. It came with a thick slice of twice-cooked pork belly with bulgogi sauce, gyoza, and apple and cabbage slaw. The pork belly was soft and paired nicely with the sweet and salty bulgogi sauce. The major let down was the chewy pork skin. Knowing how bad it is for your health, it is something I look forward to. Not impressed. The gyoza were cooked nicely, crispy on the outside and soft and nicely seasoned filling on the inside. Shame there were only 2 pieces. The apple and cabbage slaw was fresh, tasty, and moreish.

The Green Tea Latte wasn't extra hot as requested. It was however creamy on top. The Orange Sky had orange, pineapple, lemon, and tumeric. The flavours tasted okay, not the first choice of drink for any of us. It was the last drink to be consumed. The House Made Lemonade was pretty as it had blue and purple syrup. When mixed together, it was really enjoyable, so much so that we ordered another one.

We were looking forward to the desserts but were disappointed with both. The buttermilk pannacotta came with seeds and nut granola, apricot puree, and fresh fruits. The pannacotta was not wobbly when the plate was shaken, it was dense and not very enjoyable. It did have nice mellow flavours. I did not really like the combination of the dried fruit and nuts. The apricot puree was nice and smooth. It was a bit sweet but balanced well when eaten with the pannacotta. The fruit was fresh but there was not enough of it.

The French Toast came with a thick slice of brioche, chocolate ganache, candied orange, and vanilla ice cream. The brioche was soft on the inside but a bit too crispy/firm on the outside. The chocolate ganache was yummy and rich. The candied orange was not enjoyable as it was too chewy/firm to eat. I would have preferred freeze dried fruit. There was only 2 fresh raspberries, I would have preferred more fresh fruit.

Staff seemed friendly.

Verdict: The pork belly and house made lemonade are worth trying when dining here.

Really cute interior design in this cafe! We had breakfast here ordering the bae and I shakshuka (I cant rem what they called it on the menu). Delicious and as always good to see their bacon COOKED through and crispy! Props for having butter unspread on the toast!!!

THE PASTA WAS SOOO GOOOOOOD it is presented ugly but trust me its good. the chicken burger, my friend said was dry and the other burger was decent, i like it alot. i wished i got a drink to try maybe the coffee here but i didnt, so i will be back !

Oh Weston...

This place is beautiful and aesthetic but the food is slightly pricey. Its got a great location near the train station and can get really busy at certain times of the day. The food is beautifully presented and the service is pretty good as well.

Not too sure what they were called, but I think it was the truffle chips (chips with truffles...?) that were a bit too oily. Like of course chips will be oily but it was to the point where my fingers were coated in oil. Although, I'm not sure if it just happened to my order or if it was consistent with everyone else's.

I've had the desserts there and they're decent but I probably wouldn't order it again.

Great food and great service.

The owner was very friendly and talkative, creating a great atmosphere to the cafe. He told us about his favourite meals, and how he used to have a small green frog wallet too (because one of my friends had it). He was also willing to give us our change all in coins so we could divide it amongst ourselves.

The food here is always top quality, quite surprising for a cafe in this region. My favourites are their Not So Benny, their Panna Cottas and their Chicken Burgers. Highly recommend the food.

Only downside is that the meals are quite pricey.

But overall, it has never failed to disappoint me.

Excellent excellent excellent. Amazing food, great coffee, nice vibe, great service! Can’t ask for more than that. I was fasting for the month of Ramadan and this was my first brunch since, so I had high expectations for a caffeine fix and it really hit the spot. Thanks guys!
Babybao
Ordered the Harvest plate ($22) along with a soy latte and an iced coffee. The dish itself would have been better balanced with two slices of sourdough instead of one. Food quality is very standard and typical of a brunch place. Probably wouldn't return as there are better options available elsewhere.

Came here after finding out they recently changed their menu!

We ordered the new Truffle Baked eggs and the Truffle carbonara, along with one coffee and an iced green tea latte.
The truffle flavour wasn’t as pronounced in the baked eggs but overall was quite tasty with the warm crispy bread on the side. The carbonara was the highlight of the day although I recommend sharing as it can become too creamy and rich!

Surprisingly, the iced green tea latte wasn’t sweet which is great as other cafes always have their green tea latte so sweet =( I do recommend taking up their offer of adding a bit of sugar though😋

Tables / seats felt a bit cramped and uncomfortable but maybe due to the cafe being quite small

Food: 7/10
Drinks: 6/10
Ambience: 6/10

Overall: 7/10
Would definitely come back to try the other dishes

Food turned out so sooo good and delicious , customer service was best I have ever seen we(my friends and i) had to resit and reorder about 3 times either due to incorrect change or the food was not on the current menu. They weren’t annoyed with us at all instead they said “take your time” with smiles spread wide across their faces , they even talked to us about their best dishes and what to purchase as well as made conversation with the customers. Service was friendly/10 food turned out delicious I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place , ambience was chill , cute seats and decor and all on top of that they even went to the extents of getting the change out of the tips jar for my friends and i to split as we couldn’t split the change

3.5⭐️ i had the buddha bowl ($14.50) ft. broccoli, kale, quinoa, haloumi, beetroot, 2 poached eggs and pumpkin mash. The dish itself was very light and refreshing. All the veggies were prepared using simple methods like steaming or sautéeing. I actually like depending on the natural flavours of my veggies, but some people would have preferred some type of dressing to bind all the ingredients. Featured in the pic was also the chicken burger with a side of fries.

My 2nd visit here and I tried to Tofu Burger. It wasn't amazing as I hope it would be. There was just Tofu Cubes in the Hamburger. Don't get me wrong it taste nice, I thought for the price would of been more Bam!
Friendly staff.
MrFixit
I just tried their salmon and sobi noddles ( Mr Myaki), I enjoyed the salmon it was cook very well and the highlight of the dish. I came here on Sunday and it was very busy.

Cute little cafe near Canley Vale station.

We visited a while back when it first opened and were all very pleased with our brunch. Amazing service and food.

The chicken burger is amazing and a must-try!

I love this place. ESP the matcha stax. They add new things to the menu often so there’s always something different for me to try whenever I visit :) the service is great too 👍🏻
Lana 💫
Vibe is great and service is super friendly !!
To be honest, I'm not the largest fan of the drinks, but food is hearty and worth the price!! My insta is always satisfied leaving this place, so I definitely recommend dropping by! This pic doesn't do the justice The Weston deserves

I've been here for their Chia Pudding (4/5) before which was an absolute delight! This was on their winter menu and the dried pineapple pieces in the coconut chia were a match made in heaven but the portion could have been bigger as I was still a bit hungry afterwards (I have a big appetite though!)

Today I ordered the Eggs Your Way (2.5/5) and chose poached eggs. Can't really go wrong with eggs and toast, I did like the green onion garnish but the roasted tomato wasn't quit roasted and was quite undercooked. The Sourdough was nothing to scream and shout about but it was still enjoyable. I think this dish is just missing a relish or special sauce/dressing to make it stand out. Luckily the salt and pepper on my table gave it the flavour it needed.

My black coffee (3/5) was surprisingly good. I've tried a lot of black coffees around the area and the taste of the coffee beans never hits the spot. Would come back here for coffee and to try something more adventurous on the menu next time!

Staff are nice. Not many people in the Saturday morning 10:00am, but after we placed 2 meals orders with 2 coffee, we wait over 30 mins and no meals come. Coffee is good and very fast. Food is good. Hope they can improve next time. It's good place and good food.
Kelly
Been here twice now. The first time I had a brekkie burger and fries. That was ok. The recent time I went I had the chia pudding. In my opinion a little too much milk. But the granola is super yummy. My friends loved their Japanese fused eggs benedict... I had a taste and it was super tasty!
Mark Francisco
Friendly staff, good food and chill vibes. So many variations and selections of food and drinks, wishing I had the stomach to try it all. Someone is definitely coming back.

Weston is defo a standout in canley vale, it would also fit right into any of sydney’s trendy inner city. The joint is full of energy, not least because the staff seemed to be enjoying themselves and went all out to cope w the work load.

Green tea frappe 3/5

Salmon bowl 2.75/5, simply too much crunch in this, dominated by the slaw n ‘kimchi like’ cabbage. It was also too ‘watery’ perhaps from the cold veg being exposed to sudden hot ambient temp. Richness and umami were completely lost.

The one, bacon n eggs w croissant 2.75/5, this should have been a winner when the maple sweetness, buttery eggs n croissant worked as ‘the one’. Sadly the bacon was way overcooked lending it a hard texture n the croissant was again hard n stale.

Chicken sando, buttermilk chicken mayo tonkatsu sauce sandwich 2.5/5, essentially a chicken sandwich w white bread.

With more attention paid to prep work, better quality ingredients, weston should improve markedly as one can see the staff has the right attitude.

We ordered pulled pork carnitas, eggs my way with extra avocado, Mr miyagi, English breakfast blend tea and green tea latte. I must say none of us were disappointed with our dishes and we are usually big whingers. The pulled pork came with a croissant and slaw, mayo and sauce. Mr miyagi came with a piece of salmon, some noodles and a bit of broccoli and the eggs came with some bread and tomato. The bread was really tasty and the salmon was cooked very well. The noodles were seasoned well. Good job. Our only complaint is that the seating was a bit squashy but we will be back for sure!

Update: brought friend on a Sunday and the server was not very friendly this time and did not add the extra I asked for but the food still tasted good.

The Weston Eatery is a one-year old cafe on Canley Vale which receives a lot of social media attention a couple of months ago. The lovely cafe features a soft and relaxing interior fitted with wooden furniture (but very cold air conditioning)

I started my day with a flat white. The flat white was smooth and served at the right temperature. The velvety foam topping the flat white is milky and delicious and the coffee has decent proportion of espresso and milk.

My brunch, a certain mister miyagi, comprises a lightly cured Tasmanian salmon, buckwheat noodle and steamed greens in teriyaki sauce and furikake ($26) The salmon was expertly done with some tantalising furikake seasoning adding the zest and kick. Once again, the chef’s expertise is undone by a less than desired piece of salmon. Coming from a family of fishermen and fishmongers, the salmon was hard and flaky. It is likely that the salmon isn’t freshly delivered to the eatery every day.

Real cute funky cafe in Canley Vale. Very happy with the service, food and coffee (excellent coffee) the Weston Crispy Chicken Burger and yummy crispy fries 👌 the star of our lunch was the Mister Miyagi lightly cured salmon, buckwheat noodles delicious! If you are ever in the area check them out and show some love!

Food is excellent quality and service is fast. I ordered the pulled pork carnitas and the Turkish eggs. They were willing to accommodate for dietary restrictions and were very kind about it. The food is good value and wholesome. Would recommend checking this out, it has a really nice atmosphere and the staff make it that much worth it.

In Short: Without a doubt one of the best cafes in Sydney’s south west, The Weston Eatery combines sophisticated cafe food with exemplary coffee and friendly service. It was hard to pick a favourite, but you won’t go wrong with either the Pork Belly or The Weston Crispy Chicken Burger.

The Weston Eatery stands out like a beacon on Canley Vale Road, welcoming travellers and coffee-holics into its polished interior for a great coffee and sophisticated café food. I will be honest, given the cafe’s proximity to Cabramatta and its inherent Indochinese roots, I was expecting a rich vein of Asian flavours that would keep locals happy. It was actually quite the opposite. It’s almost like owners Hung Le and David Duong have assembled a classic hits list of Sydney’s favourite breakfasts, added their own signature and presented it on the menu. Yes, I was a total ass for presuming to know what to expect, but what a delightful surprise The Weston Eatery turned out to be.

Matcha Stax : 😍 Amazing
Turkish Eggs : 😁 Great
Poke Bowl : 😁 Great
Pork Belly : 😍 Amazing
Orecchiette Pasta 😁 Great
Chicken Burger : 😍 Amazing
Coffee : 😁 Great
Service : 😍 Amazing

Is there much else to say? The portions are generous and the staff are lovely. The menu changes regularly which is great because you’ll never get bored of eating the same things over and over. Great new cafe to try

Food - We got the Hungry hippo. Wasn't bad! Orange juice was really nice and refreshing! 3.5/5
Ambience and service was good also! Not a lot of variety to choose from but overall not bad and I would come back to try their lunch menu! :)
Shirley
Good food and great service! Only downside is that it took a little longer than expected but it’s a small place so that’s understandable. Definitely going back to try other things on the menu!
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
Lately I’ve been experimenting with breakfast bowls. Initially I was quite suspicious that they might be another triumph of the Instagram age, where looks are valued far more than how a dish tastes and what it’s like to eat. This time I employed the assistance of a girlfriend who has mastered the breakfast bowl, and makes her own beautiful bento box-style packed lunches, too. Our brunch destination: The Weston Eatery. Strikingly modern in a sleepy runway of shops sitting on both sides of the street leading up to Canley Vale Station, The Weston Eatery, certainly stands out. It’s clean, white and minimalist, with brass and rose copper accents set off by raw plywood, and painted white paling and pegboard walls. The starkness of the effect is minimised using leafy green ferns. The pale colours are employed to open out what is actually quite a small space; an open front area followed by a galley-like rear with a kitchen porthole and a banquette running down one side. I dutifully order the Chia Pudding ($14)...

Such a lovely small cafe with friendly staff and delicious food! It's definitely a place that I'll recommend as a local brunch spot to hit up!

The highlight of today breakfast was Truffle baked egg.
The combo of wilted spinach, chorizo, eggs, spicy tomato sugo, was delish, and accompanied with sour dough.
Before it hit the table, the aroma of truffle oil is perfuming the air surrounding.
Matcha stack was awesome too, 2 pillow soft Hotcakes with green tea crumble, fresh fruit, white choc and green tea sauce and vanilla bean gelato that cost you $16 but it's worth every calories!
I love the buzz from the Canley Vale and Cabramatta and all the Vietnamese delights that always bring my childhood to life. But for a slice of cafe life, the locals always head to the Weston Eatery. The Weston Eatery is a sleek and modern cafe that brings modern twists to cafe favourites. I feel like I'm in the middle of Surry Hills and easily forget I'm in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. It's the smell of coffee and the sleek furnishings that make me feel like I'm in the city or inner west. There's a must try dessert worth driving for. Go to the blog for full details including photos.

Staff was amazing, ice cream was so good with the bubble waffle I wanted more! But it did take quite a while for the food to come! Definitely would go back to try another meal
Caitlin
Came here about two months ago and raved about the food! However, revisited and was so let down. The avo toast lacked flavour and the food was just average. They also changed the menu which was a bad move. Went from a straight 5 down to a 3 unfortunately. Still best eatery in the area but wasn't worth the half hr trip I made to get there 😾
WanderingWinny
After multiple recommendations from friends, I finally found a chance to pop by this relatively new cafe in the small suburb of Canley Vale. Unlike it’s more popular brother, Canley Heights, the food scene in Canley Vale has been pretty quiet in recent years. This is quite surprising, considering Canley Vale is easily accessible by public transport and there is plenty of street and off-street parking.

Canley Vale is one of those places that don’t change often. Every time I visit, it looks pretty much the same and some of the stores are so old you feel like you are still in the 90’s. So it was weird to find a modern cafe pop up in this suburb where time seems to have stood still.
Hemi Guahk
Love the decor of this cafe and the ambience as well as the food. The food is presently really nicely and staff are also very friendly and efficient. Would come back again!!
Frillz & Co
I can't even begin to put into words just how satisfied I left here feeling! I am actually in the BIGGEST food coma ever so please excuse me if this doesn't make perfect sense 🤣 we arrived at 9:30am and ordered food in which we shouldn't have but just HAD to try from all the raving reviews. We had the truffle baked eggs, bacon and scrambled egg croissant which is not on the menu, truffle and mayo fries, strawberry and cream French toast, the green juice and the apple juice.

I'll start by saying the lady who was there wasn't too pleasant to deal with in the morning as she seemed she didn't even want to be there and didn't smile once which was a little annoying being that it was the first thing in the morning and that early you'd want to see a happy face but oh well, she didn't get in the way of our breakfast/lunch/dinner/desert haha

The baked eggs, just so so so so freaking amazing. The croissant, better than Newtowns mac daddy and so much bigger, and so much nicer it was just a whole different level. The truffle and mayo fries 😳 f****ing awesome. The French toast was light and tasted so beautiful! Not to mention how light and fluffy it was, it actually looked like diabetes on a plate but wasn't as sweet as it looked. The juices, omg to die for!!

In light of all this the pricing was well worth it, I wouldn't even call it expensive because every dime you spend is so well worth it! So much so I had to shake the chefs hand and give him a fist bump 👊🏾

As the morning went on a younger female worker began work and she was so much more pleasant to deal with than the woman in the morning 👌🏾

Will definitely be back again for lunch and if you guys decide you will do dinner, we will be there too! 💯 kudos to you guys ✊🏽

Clean and minimalist decor creates nice atmosphere. Average service

The matcha stax tastes as good as it looks. Was a bit hesitant to order because of the price but did not regret at all. The cakes were warm and bitter and were a perfect combination for ice-cream and fruit. The shoestring kimchi fries were ok- well cooked but I prefer their truffle fries.
Would not hesitate to come back another time and try other items on the menu.
Need a coffee fix in 2166? Sick of Asian food too? Then this is the place to be. I was told the burgers here are really good but I felt like pork belly which is really good.

The Weston Eatery is one my favourite cafés that I like to visit. They have great service, the ambience is good and the food is delicious.
This was my second time ordering the Matcha Stax and it satisfied my matcha crave. This dish is definitely one of my faves.
Hungry Vibes Only
Trendy brunch places in the South West are starting to pop up here and there and we couldn't be happier! Breakfast is definitely not my favourite meal of the day (never been a fan of waking up before 9am) but the Weston Eatery made it quite enjoyable.

The friendly waiter showed us to our table and brought us two glasses of warm water which made my heart sing with gratefulness. It was a freezing morning and clinging onto the glass, I read through their menu. They have a breakfast and brunch menu, of which the latter is not available to later on in the day.

We ordered the Truffle Baked Eggs and Hungry Hippo (chorizo, mushrooms, eggs done your way and sourdough toast).

The baked eggs were amazing! Truffle wasn't overused and balanced so nicely with everything else. And to make it even better, there was enoki, oyster and thinly sliced portobello mushrooms hiding underneath all that truffle-cheesy goodness. Eggs were perfect in my opinion--just past the runny stage but right before they're cooked all she way through.

Green tea latte was good, bar the stale matcha sprinkled on top.

I had a great time overall. Will be definitely coming back for some more noms!
Miffy And Thurston
The food here was amazing, we had the best bacon and egg roll ever , didn't realise this could be so beautifully executed! The breakfast burrito which was also delicious and my kids had the french toast which was like a work of art . Everything was so beautifully presented. We don't live around here but would definitely make the journey for such a great breakfast spot.

Set up near the station is this hip new cafe in Canley Vale. I've been here a few times now and the service is always friendly and attentive even though you order at the till, the food is brought to your table. The food was lovely with variety of new style burgers and cool brunch menu. I would definitely come back!

After hearing so much good things about this hidden gem in Canley Vale, I've finally came around to trying it myself. We arrived nice and early and only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table, the cafe is really nicely decorated, clean and inviting.

A great menu with a reasonable price, we got the "Morning sun" and "hungry hippo". The morning sun was nicely plated and very appealing to the eye, and yes! It did tasted as nice as it looked, my eggs and salmon were cooked just right - accompanied by a delicious tempura hash brown.

The hungry hippo on the other hand wasn't as exciting as the morning sun, however it was a great twist to the usual big brekky.

Would definitely return to try the sweet dishes, and the friendly wait staff also made our visit very enjoyable.

Nice little cafe. Good place to chill and sip on some coffee. Burgers are portioned nicely and not that greasy type. Get the weston crispy chicken
Linda Yang
Food was great. Had the long weekend special, soft shell crab burger. I had asked them on instagram at what time they serve this dish, they replied all day. When I got there they said it wasn't available yet. I told them about the instagram reply. She said she had to talk to the kitchen first. My only complaint is that all staff should be updated on the days operation. Other than that the service and atmosphere was good.

This is a nice cafe located in the West if you're down for cafe food that has pretty good pricing compared to the city. I really enjoyed all the dishes I ordered . Definitely recommend 'The One' as I'm a big fan of croissants- it came out deliciously warm and buttery. The fried chicken burger was also juicy and moist. We ordered parmesan and truffle fries which was quite overpowering but if you're a cheese and truffle lover, then you'd have no problem with this. The shake was also good but get ready for a food coma if you were to finish the drink alone. It's the second time visiting this cafe and the service has always been good! I'd be sure to try the salmon and buckwheat noodles next time I eat here

The decor and furniture of this place is beautiful, it's cozy, welcoming, giving off a minimalistic or chic feel about it. The staff are super accommodating, offering to 'veganise' some of the dishes. It would be really great if there was a code on the menu which indicated that the item was vegan rather than just vegetarian.

I ended up sharing the big breakfast with a friend, the spinach, mushroom and tomato were just the usual. Not seasoned enough and just bland. I guess it would be a good accompaniment to the greasy bacon and chorizo, but not on their own.

My friend, stated that the honey in the bacon was off putting and was too crispy to be enjoyable. However, the hash brown was delicious as long I can remember, it was so so crispy and was the highlight was the meal for sure. I wish i could order a plate of just hash browns.

As for price, the plate cost $22 and fed two people. It is pretty reasonable but if you ordered one food item for yourself including a drink, ranging from $3.50 for coffee to $7.50 for a juice it could definitely add up. The other places around the area give you a more budget friendly meal.

Drove to Canley Vale to try it out before the menu changed, and I have to say it can definitely a usual brunch spot for those in the area. For food, we decided to order the Mac Daddy, The One, Karage burger, and truffle fries. The One is definely a dish that would be ideal for someone who can't make up their mind between getting a pastry or scrambled egg/bacon breakfast as it has all three things in one (in addition to a maple glaze). The chicken karage burger was good as well, decent crunch with a slight kick of flavour from the sauce, saving it from being another average burger. The Mac Daddy was quite interesting, however we were a little bit disappointed in the flavour (ratio between breadcrumbs for crunch and the amount of Mac and cheese that was actually in the bowl). The fries were below average due to it being undercooked.
The cafe offers a relaxed vibe, with friendly service. It is quite small so I definitely suggest coming by on weekdays or early morning on weekends.

The Weston Eatery is known to serve up delicious modern brunch food - something that is lacking in the Cabramatta/Canley area. After hearing many things about this newly opened cafe, me and my friends decided to pop by and see what's all the hype about.

To our surprise, we waited about 25-30 minutes for our food which was annoying as there weren't many customers. It almost felt like they were just taking their time with the food whilst my friends and I were waiting.

I ordered 'The One' which was quite different to what I'd usually get at a cafe. I did however, find the dish to be quite sweet but it was enjoyable. The same was said about the "Dirty Waffles" - it was different and surprisingly good. My friend however, did not enjoy her eggs benedict. She said the salmon didn't taste fresh and barely touched her food.

It was quite unfortunate that our experience wasn't as great as it could've been. I would tell others to give this place a try if they don't know where to eat but don't want Asian food in the area. It's not a place where you'd travel for. However, I might give the Weston Eatery another visit in the later future as I do find the menu to be quite intriguing.

Very cute cafe in South West. It's unlikely to find a modern cafe like this in the area. The menu had a wide selection which I appreciated however the prices and portions made this place not worth a return. Its pricier than some places in the city with smaller portions! Not impressed. The matcha hot cakes were excellent however a bit more of the crunb and pancake would be appreciated. The scrambled eggs on the crossiant was raw in some places but I guess thats up to personal preference. The cafe was also a bit cramped. However, the staff was lovely and good customer service is always a plus! It was an average experience and don't think I'd return again

Absolutely loved the food there. The first time that I went I had the chicken burger and it is the best I've had. Second time I had the pull pork sandwich and I loved it. Definitely would recommend!

Follow my insta @burgersnbikinis

The Weston Eatery is a total hidden gem in Canley Vale! An unexpected brunch spot, cutely decorated with greenery, cute copper fittings and a pastry cabinet stocked full of tastiness.

The menu is amazing, so much so I'm already planning my next visit here.

I waited 25 minutes for a poached eggs dish when there were only two customers including myself, so fool me once, shame on you.
However, I would like to give them another chance as the menu is really interesting, so I went there the following week and ordered a pulled pork dish. After the third bite, I felt there was something chewy and funny thing inside my mouth... to my surprise, a clear plastic packaging material approximately 5cm in length was pulled out from my mouth... Furious but controlled, I politely returned the dish and asked for a replacement...I didn't finish the dish because I've loss my appetite.
Shame on me this time because I got fool twice... So I promise I won't go back to Weston again, and won't recommend it to my friends or families.
# Taste for both of my dishes were average but not exceptional... Anyway, bad experience for me.

Pop Culture Food
What this cafe lacks in dining space, MORE than makes up in amazing customer service and matcha (green tea) goodness.

My friend and I ordered the Katsu Chicken Sando (sandwich) and the Matcha Pancakes. Beginning with the Katsu Chicken Sando- it was a well balanced chicken-slaw-sauce combo and each bite provided us with flavourful, moist chicken. Not exactly super crunchy, but the coating did soak up a lot of the delicious Tonkatsu sauce it was topped with. Tasty!

Moving straight to the good stuff, the matcha pancakes were perfect. I've always been the kind of girl who appreciates good, dense and slightly fluffy pancakes- all of which was accomplished by the Weston Eatery. To top it off, the actual matcha syrup sauce as well as the actual pancakes weren't overly sweet! Paired with fresh fruit, matcha powder and sugar and vanilla ice cream, I was quite impressed by the quality of this dish.

For drinks, we both ordered the matcha milkshake. This was again, not too overly sweet and a perfect mixture of creaminess and matcha. You'll also be delightfully surprised to find some texture in this shake! The guys mix in some of the matcha powder/sugar dust they use for their pancakes. Delicious!

This place is a great addition for the west/south west foodies looking for a Modern Australian x Modern Japanese fusion. The Weston Eatery staff treat their customers so well and are open to taking on slight menu changes to help enhance your dining experience. A highly recommended brunch destination.

Quick tip: They accept table reservations after 10:30am, as they're limited with their seating, so if you're after brunch or lunch, I would definitely recommend booking in advance.

Omg the egg is not oozing. Lost marks for overcooked egg and the wait was quite long for me (25mins?). Everything else was fantastic. $16 for fancy macaroni and cheese. Would i come again? Why not, its literally opposite the train station.

Came again and had the egg and bacon burger $8.5. Nothing amazing but not bad either. Lots of bacon. Friends had the fries $6 and fried chicken burger $13. Both average.

Picturesque Food
The Weston Eatery, one of the newest cafes to open up in the Canley Vale area.
I must say, the eatery really does stand out...not in a bad way though. It has this really classy look from the outside. When you enter, the decor is very minimalistic and modern. A mixture of brass with greenery is always a good mixture.
Today we ordered the eggs Benedict, zen salad and some coffees.
The eggs Benedict was quite nice with an interesting mix of a toasted bun and un-toasted. I feel the toasted bun was more tasty and would have complemented the rest of the dish a lot better.
The zen salad was tasty and was as expected.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our large group size as well.
Finally have a day off to check out The Weston Eatery. Once you walk in you're welcomed by the friendly staff and minimal decor. Love the look of the cafe, from paneling, rendering to tiling all done right!
The drinks were great and food was good, poached eggs nice and runny! Just personally, I was hoping to see something with avocado on the menu!
Will be back to check out the "Kick on with us" menu!

Finally another brunch spot has opened in my area! There is no longer a need to travel far to have some good brunch. The interior design of Weston Eatery is very modern and bright. The staff are all friendly and greeted as I walked inside which made my first experience at Weston Eatery very welcoming!

I ordered the 'summer lovin' which is essentially sheep yoghurt, seasonal fruits with honey drizzled on top - very delicious to eat however it was not filling enough for me so I ordered the 'croque monsieur' which is a ham and cheese toastie sandwich! My friend ordered 'the one' which is a crossaint filled with scrambled egg topped with bacon drizzled in maple syrup - major regrets not ordering that food because it looks heavenly good!

Lovely place to grab some coffee, have brunch and catch up with friends! Will definitely come back here. :)

Very excited when I heard a new brunch place opened up in the area for me!! I honesty never get up early enough to trek it to the city so this place was a win! They have the "kick on with me" menu which fits my schedule as I love my sleep 😹.

We got the salmon which was really tender and flavoured really well followed by French toast (I'm not usually a chocolate-y person but goddamn that toast was nice..) the oj and green juice was also super refreshing. Very cute setting and good service too :) probably worth waking up to catch the breakfast menu as well!

Matcha ninja!!

Finally another great cafe open up in my hood! Here they serve up cafe style food with a little flair!

The head chef is an Ex Chef from club industry whom won a few awards and is known in the Club industry world. Now he has open up his own cafe and has lured me by serving MATCHA.

Matcha hotcake was good, abit small but its tasty with the rich matcha chocolate sauce and soft hot cakes. The plating is on point!! I also like the pulled pork waffle, salty and sweet pork on a crispy waffle and a poached egg always gets me.

Great place to hang and catch up with some friends!!

Until next time ... Keep eating!!

Amazing! Staff were super friendly and attentive. Tick. Interior was nice and clean. Tick. Food was plated beautifully and tasted amazing. Tick. Chef/owner hung does a great job balancing inner city plating with western wants and needs. Great addition to the area.

Good location, very convenient! Had the mac and cheese which disappointed but definitely should try the honeycomb and Malteser shake. Nice and bright layout. Good hang out spot!

Feeling pretty disappointed with you guys. I understand that it's new year eve and it's a busy time so we put our name and phone number on the list and waited patiently. We were standing across the road from the restaurant when I received a call from a private number. It didn't even ring for long enough for me to pick up. I immediately crossed the road only to be told that our table was given away. All within 1 minute... while we were waiting across the road. The waitress who helped us was rather rude from the beginning, she was rather unapologetic and advised I had to wait another 25 minutes. It doesn't matter how good the food might be but when the service sucks everything else sucks. I hope you treat your future customers better.

With the limited brunch choices in the area, we were excited to try Weston out. The interior was cute, modern and bright. The menu looked appealing with many different varieties of food. We ordered the Mac Daddy, Not your Average French toast and the truffle fries. The Mac and cheese looked good but could've been cheesier.. it was just lacking that extra kick. The truffle fries were crinkle cut but needed to be crunchier. The French toast was probably the standout of the 3 dishes. It was well presented and the pastry was light, the chocolate wasn't overwhelming and the honeycomb added a good element to the dish. We couldn't finish all 3 dishes unfortunately. Would probably return to try the coffee.

This cozy cafe is a must for locals. I came here for breaky and the staff are accomodating and very friendly.

Would definitely recommend 'The One', the best breakfast croissant I ever had. The scrambled eggs had a succulent sweet taste to it that harmonised perfectly with the maple bacon.

The 'Matcha Hotcake Heaven' was amazing and not overly sweet for those who prefer their desserts that way. The 'Not Your Average French Toast' will be a sweet tooth's heaven without being sickeningly sweet. For beverage I went with a simple hot chocolate which was the right combination of creamy and chocolate goodness.

Definitely coming back to this local gem!

Situated right across the road from the station offers an option for commuters to grab a great coffee.
We ate breakfast on a Sunday morning. Fit out is in line with a few other new and. Oder cafes in the area like The Usual and Elevation. The eggs Benny comes served on a milk bun with a light style hollandaise. Perfectly cooked runny poached eggs. Wilted spinach and the freshest cured salmon. Not fishy in taste at all. Perfectly balanced dish.
The chefs special "The One", creamy scrambled eggs on croissant with maple bacon. A must have at least once, but maybe many more times. Great addition to the area. Well done.

Anticipated the opening of this café for weeks! A café in my hood that does breakfast, burgers AND dessert? Yes yes YESSSSS!!!
Weston Crispy Chicken burger? Sooo goood!!
The steak? Perfectly cooked and that truffle butter zomggg

Cheesey fries? Perfectly seasoned, and I believe there were not one but TWO types of melted cheeses 🤗

Boy were we happy! But a meal is NEVER complete without dessert. So naturally we ordered both the French toast and Matcha Hotcakes. (Insert gif of fat kid dancing with a big cheesy smile)

Our lovely waitress placed both desserts on the table at the same time (extra points for this), a whirlwind of cameras snapping, spoon grabbing ,‘OMG THAT LOOKS SO PRETTY’ followed and then complete silence as we all took our first bite. It was bomb! So bomb that both plates were licked clean in about probably 116 seconds.

100% will be back.
