Hidden Gem for Crispy Pork Rolls!!
This is my go-to place for pork rolls as they're not stingy with the good stuff either which is why it's a go-to one for many. Not to be confused with the neighbouring Nguyen Hot Bread store but it's the left-hand side bakery for those wondering (facing the store).
Definitely go for the pork crackling roll as you would get a generous amount!
This bakery is definitely not raved about enough. We recommend the crackling pork roll. The crackling is fresh and crunchy. Add chilli for a kick. You’ll get full for $5.50!
Its other rolls are just as good. Staff are helpful and open to any customisation you want.
One of my favourite places to get crispy pork belly rolls!!! The bread is extra crunchy here and I like to request less soy sauce as the pork and pate brings enough flavour. I’m pretty sure the Nguyen hot bread the next store down is also the same business.... they taste the same anyway
Came here on a public holiday before my drive home to Melbourne. Before moving to Melbourne, this was my favourite hot bread shop. Safe to say, it is still my favourite hot bread shop of all time.
The quality of bread and pork rolls are top notch! They also have other Vietnamese favourites like Chinese sausage and sticky rice; and corn and coconut pudding.
Service has significantly improved from when I lived in Sydney many years ago... But I was also served by the owner’s son who is fluent in English. I think most of the nice ladies mainly speak Vietnamese.
It is also value for money!!
Next time I’m back in Sydney, I’ll be returning here.
My local go-to Vietnamese bakery. Conveniently located within walking distance of Canley Vale station, this bakery offers a big delicious range of rolls and food at decent prices. I love buying chicken rolls and nem nuong rolls here. There may sometimes be a bit of a line but it moves quickly, and there's always their sister store just a few shops away.
Seriously tasty, well priced, pork crackling roll! I have friends that travel 30kms each way just for this roll! Don’t be put off by the fading signage - just eat eat eat!
This place is the OG right here. Never ever disappointed by any food that I have eaten here, and that level of consistency (especially with most likely a hundred plus visits under my belt) is not something to be taken lightly! Their chicken roll is amazing and honestly my bias when it comes to ordering but their other offerings of a classic pork roll or pork crackling roll, among many others, are just as high up there.
It's probably a bit of an ask to get people to travel for banh mi but the locals know that this place is a treasure.
Felt like we we were losing our mojo lately, we were convinced to try out some new place so instead of going to cabra we tried canley vale this time.
Instead of the usual meat ball roll we tried their BBQ roll instead. This one has very similar ingredients to the one in Marrickville pork roll. The BBQ pork is flavorsome and not too dry. The pickled carrot is also very fresh. Not sure whether it's the sauce or the pate but we found overall dish to be a bit too savory.
Nevertheless we enjoyed the experience and felt like we are on our way to regain our mojo.

These ladies knows their stuff!!! Best chicken roll in Sydney ... Add pork cracklings and its a Winner!! They also provide other vietnamese rolls, pastry, breakky roll abd packed box lunches like noodles and rice .... Close to the train station so its very convenient to buy it and eat on the train 😎👍 As always until next time. .. Keep eating! #vietnameselife #2166
This is the one at number 23 which has the exact same name as one at 33 but this one has the older sign on it and more people.
Rustum Tandog said this was the best so I had to try. Firstly the cheese and bacon roll,hard outside crust with a tasty soft middle,not bad overall. The pork roll my first impression was soft roll and the taste of pate took over the taste of everything. Pretty good but still prefer Cabramatta. This place also has other things on offer like pork crackling roll which I wouldn't mind trying next time
Love, love, love this place. It never fails me. The value and quality is simply unbeatable. Your meat options are; roast pork (with crackling, of course), roast chicken, namnuong (don't know how to spell it, sorry), fish cake, meatball, red pork... I'm sure there's more that I've missed. But they're all fresh and they're all super delicious on their own baked bread. It's simply unbeatable. Just don't tell too many people about it! Lol
Good value for money.
$5.50 for a crackling pork roll and it was delicious! They were really generous with the amount of crackling pork and the sauce they used... oh my god. It was so good.
This is my new benchmark for crackling pork rolls. Will definitely come back.
