This is our favourite spot for Teh Tarik. The Teh Tarik sustained me through a very difficult pregnancy. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The service is quick. The food is excellent. The Teh Tarik is the best. I have to have one cup of Teh Tarik at least once a week. Would highly recommend this restaurant!!!!
Visited there three times and each time in spite of many tempting other dishes couldn't convince myself to go past the very authentic Mee Siam which is as good as any I've enjoyed while living in Singapore for 11 years.The service was prompt and very friendly.

I went here with my friend for brunch. I ordered tofu, it was nice. My friends ordered porridge and cakue. All good. The staffs are friendly and helpful
One of the best places for Malaysian food south of the river. With their prices being very reasonable for their portion sizes, the flavours for each dish are very authentic and are not 'whitewashed' at all. Their Nasi Lemak and Cheese baked rices are their highlights for me.
What a gem! Where should I start... This place offers street food style Malaysian food and most of the food that I’ve tried so far is quite authentic so I’m truly happy finding this place. I have to say we’ve now came back a few times, so far we’ve tried Chee Chiong fun, congee, fish fillet mee hoon soup, curry fish wing noodle, Mui fan, mee rebus, char kway and mushroom glutinous rice. Our favourite which we’ve came back for must be the curry fish wing, mui fan (fried rice with chicken and egg sauce), their congee and mushroom glutinous rice. They’re quite authentically close to what you get in Malaysia. Really yummy indeed!
My husband raves about the porridge and will go out of his way to travel all the way to get it, even in heavy rain and traffic. All dishes I've tried the few times I've been there have been delicious and the service is wonderful too. Very accommodating especially with 2 babies and a toddler in tow. Been there for dinners only.
Interior is a little tired, but the food nd the pull tea is good. Reasonably priced. I used to visit the Malaysia branch a lot when I was back in Malaysia, the food stndard hasn't drop too much.
First time trying Tea Garden, the food were not bad. I enjoyed my Curry Laksa, Hubby said his Mee Rebus was ok, my daughter seemed to like her simple Kampoeng Fried Noodle. Service could be better, but no drama. A lot of people said their food are expensive, but I found it reasonable.
I enjoyed the food. Big portion as well. The Thai style chicken chop with fried rice is good. The chicken is freshly fried, I think. The menu looks interesting as well. I will be back.
My go-to everytime i’m craving for some Chinese-Malaysian dishes !! The foods feel like home. On point ! My favourite? Definitely fried carrot cake, porridge, and rice dishes. Seriously all are good you will not regret coming.
A great little Restaurant located in Canningvale. Really yummy Malaysian food with some different choices such as Fish wing curry and Cheesy baked rice. Also possibly the best chicken wings in Perth. It's hard to get a table sometimes. I really recommend this place.
Visited this place the other day. We had the mee siam, mee goreng mamak, Thai style tofu and roti bakar with butter and sugar. Very impressed witht he mee goreng. Love how it had the burnt/charred wok taste. The Thai style tofu was tasty. The roti bakar reminded me of Malaysia and Singapore. The mee siam was very tasty, the closest I have had that could compare to the ones in Malaysia/Singapore. However after a few mouthfuls, felt very thirsty. Seemed like they had put a lot of msg in it. I also ordered the teh tarik. I asked for it to be stronger and it was yum. Would come back to try some other dishes.
Visited Tea Garden for my Nasi Lemak fix. It wasn't bad. I've definitely had much worst. This place reminds me of Paparich. The drinks is a bit sweet so I recommend that you ask for less sugar.
I brought my family members there last weekend. Food was not too bad but I have better food than these. Ordered kiew teow, Nasi lemak and curry mee. Nasi lemak rice a little on the soft side and not enough lemak. Kiew teow and curry mee not too bad and it's acceptable. Place is clean and busy. Will consider bringing friends.
Been to many Malaysian cuisine restaurants, still none beats Tea Garden. Love all the dishes, especially their char kwey tiaow, curry chicken, mee rebus, chendol and nyona mee siam. Tea was extremely good, the taste and aroma of it, was irresistible and i have to drink at least 4 times a week! Very clean and pleasant restaurant. Arguably the cheapest and "worth the money" restaurant in Perth.

And so... we put on our adventurous hat and hit the new joint in Canning Vale. Verdict: worth going and will try more items on the menu!
The spot has now changed about 4 different owners, and I hope Tea Garden is there to stay by maintaining or improving their service and products. It is clean, spacious, and has cozy outdoor seating. I hope though, by winter they will install covers and heaters!
We walked in greeted by a clear sign that says "No BYO," "No pork," "No lard," and a friendly hostess that ushered us to our table. The menu was there already and we wrote down our order.
Pricewise? Just right for the area. Choices are plenty, from Kaya toast to nasi lemak to carrot cake to sate etc. You got the picture! Halal, Chinese Malaysian restaurant we found! And plenty of spicy dishes too!
Our order came out rather quickly. My brave 9 yr old finished three quarter of his Yang Chow fried rice, while I savoured the Rojak Tofu. Love their Lemongrass Jasmine Tea!
I'd give Tea Garden another go to sample the rest of the items on their menu. Next up, my usual fried Kwee Tiaw test!

Came out for lunch with my friend. We ordered curry fish wings and baked herbal chicken. Both are tasty, I especially like the herbal chicken. Will certainly come back again.
Without doubt one of the best Malay restaurants in perth for flavour.
I have eaten all over the world and rate this food up there with the best at this price point , do yourself a favour and try , you won't be disappointed.
Not sure about the couple of bad reviews on here. I've been here over 10 times and it's always been exceptional. Slowly working my way through the menu. A must if you are in the area.
I have been here several times now and I enjoy coming here. The restaurant cafe is nice and clean, toilet is clean and I think the service is efficient.
I always have an ice teh terik with my meal. Food is pretty decent for the price although I thought the portions are a bit on the smaller side.
Super love their curry Chee cheong fun and rotibakar. I ordered their beef brisket rice that comes with a small bowl of soup. While the beef is tender and nice, the soup totally spoil it. It bland and tasted a little weird to my liking. Personal preference I guess

Been there once cuz parents like it, was not very busy on a weekday night, staff are friendly and food was okay, very enjoyed the dinner there, will be back for sure!
pretty good food & good prices to me! service was very attentive as well. They even have breakfast specials in the morning for $9.80 (1 meal + 1 drink) which was pretty good for an early lunch!
Second time back at this joint, not as crowded this time since it was a weekday and rather late for lunch. What I like about this place is that they are open for practically 12 hours (9am-9:30pm) and don't close in the afternoon. Sometimes you just need food after 2:30pm and it's hard if you're in the burbs in Perth. We shared some satays to start and got a mee goreng and a dry mee siam with chicken curry. I was also quite excited about the cassava dessert when I saw it on the menu. The satays were flavoursome but lacked the charcoal flavour you look for in a good satay. The noodles were delicious, nothing to fault there. The cassava was softer and mushier than expected - I was expecting it to taste like the chewy version you find at authentic Thai restaurants. Still, the food is yummy and it's nice to see a restaurant with authenticity in that spot at the CV markets where traditionally, the restaurants have been mediocre.
Dishes we chose were spicy and enjoyable. Big portions and very reasonably priced. Seating spacious and although very busy was not that noisy. Seems to be very popular as there is waiting time before being seated. Staff very efficient.
It's a great place serving authentic Malaysia food with selections similar to Paparich. We have ordered the following and would score these out of 10. Mee Rebus (7-nothing special), Ipoh Hor Fun Soup (8.5-very smooth noodles), Singapore Fried Mee Hoon (9), Baked Herbal Chicken (9.5-great herbal flavour.. an unique dish), Hainanese Teh Tarik (8.5), Teh Tarik (7.5), Soya Milk (9). Serving size is a little small but with consideration of the price (I.e. $8 for Mee Rebus, $11.8 for Ipoh Hor Fun Soup), I think it's quite reasonable. I would rather come here if planning to go to Paparich.
So happy to find another authentic Malaysian food restaurant that serves dishes that closely mimics the local food in Malaysia. We tried the Rojak and Chee Cheong Fun which was really yum. Will be back to try the other dishes.
A new Malaysia hawker franchise, it's definitely got followers as there was a waiting line for seats on a Sunday lunch. Alot like the Papparich franchise with a range of roti, fried noodles, Nasi lemak, kaya toast, fancy drinks and desserts at a slightly cheaper price. I tried the Dry Mee Siam with fried chicken; Nasi Lemak with fried chicken; Char Kuey Teow; Chicken & Lamb Satay; Nyonya Beef Curry rice; and Kueh Malas. Hit and miss with the variety - the satay was nice, tender chicken and love the sauce; the CKT had the flavour but wasn't fried enough; the fried chicken was crispy and well marinated; the Nasi lemak was flavoursome, liked the coconut rice, sambal was good, and liked that it had acar (pickled vege) in there. The beef curry was so so only, not spicy and bit too sweet. Took away some tau fu fa, so hope it's good. And their range of drinks were pretty good, with a few different ones you generally don't find. Not too bad for the range, but not the best.
Great spot for some very good Malay food.
Satay were a bit of let down, not charred properly but satay sauce was really good.
Nasi lemak with fried chicken was arguably the best around this area with well balanced flavours. Rice was aromatic like proper Nasi lemak should. Cantonese stir fried noodles was delicious, wok hei didn't disappoint. A bit disappointed with the mui fan, gravy was bland, rice could be more fluffy. Teh Tarik was awesome. I'm Singaporean. Definitely will be back.

Good service in a rush hour time. I saw one of the staffs accidentally spelt a bit of gravy on to a customer's feet while trying to put the dish on the table. She was very sorry and immediately knelt down and wiped the customer's feet with some tissues. Although the customer did not mind at all the incident and was trying his best to avoid the staffs good intention, made the staff stood up, she was really sorry. I saw that myself as I was sitting on the table next to theirs. I feel a bit touched to see an elderly staff trying to do that to a customer. As an Asian I see her like my own mother in that age. Really salute the staff good intention and the great forgiving heart of that male customer. Good people are still around for sure.
Food wise, IT WAS EXCELLENT. I ordered Char Kway Teow with chicken. Full of wok hei flavour and generous chunks of chicken thigh fillets. Perfect balance of flavour with that dark soya sauce.
The Hainanese milk tea was undoubtedly good. Definitely one of the best in Perth.
