The best go to place for char Siu BBQ pork, roast pork and alike. The staff are very friendly and efficient. I remember one night they sold out of char siu, so make sure you order before 7pm.
I have been there on a number of occasions to eat in and the dishes are fresh, not too salty and tasty. Best char siu around the canning region.
Come for lunch one of the best roast pork and rice and roast duck and rice I've had and big servings too yummo. If its too busy you have to go to cashier to order but most times its alright service

This is the first time I was motivated to write a review and I eat out a lot at all sorts of places. Chose this place randomly as it was half way between my guests homes.. I and my guests were so impressed with the food quality and the price,
First time at this place and the food was excellent anf the service friendly. It is not a 5 star eatery but a lovely place to get good quality Chinese food with helpful staff and fast service. Ice bucket for the wine would be nice but I didnt ask so maybe my fault. Food excellent, service good and not a swish place but with good company I highly recommend it. Will be going back.

Ordered takeaway on a Saturday! Really expensive , spring rolls were really nice , and so was the satay beef. All other dishes were nice but to be honest not worth the price we paid .
Had the lunch menu combination meats (BBQ pork, roast duck & soy chicken; usually comes with roast pork but I asked to leave it out & add more BBQ pork instead) with rice and a bit of Chinese veg on the side $12. Yummy! Especially with their chilli in oil.
Been there many times with the wife. Years ago, there was this waitress who scares everyone with her overbearing attitude and every time we are there, we were hoping that she is not on that shift. The boss is not the friendliest guy around. So why do we keep going back, I hear you ask. Are we suckers for bad service? I have two words.....Roast Duck...the best I have tasted here in Perth, even better than some other countries.So much so that visiting relatives actually bought them back to Singapore. The other ala carte items were good as well and pricing is reasonable. As far as service is concerned, Hongkongers being hongkongers, are generally rude. It was worst years back but seems to have improved recently. Just go for the food, hmm.....actually.....might have a takeaway roast duck tonight.......yeah
I have been a regular at this beautiful Chinese BBQ restaurant for years now and their crispy Roast Pork and their Beijing Roast Duck (Peking Duck) are absolutely legendary.
I go there for lunch as often as I can (sometimes five times a week) and my wife and I often go there for dinner (sometimes three times a week).
If you are looking for a genuine Chinese culinary experience to remember, get yourself along to this fine Chinese Dining Experience and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

All of the dishes are nice, but their combination bbq are scrumptuous. Ducks are juicy and not fatty. I think they make their own chilli oil as it tastes very fresh and perfect condiments to the bbq. I love looking at the owner chopping away the bbq, and although they appear rude sometimes, I find it cute and very refreshing as it reminds you that that's how people are in Hong Kong (they're just rude, but nice people) - thus ensuring you that the food is definitely authentic.
Love their seafood especially the lobsters. The restaurant has been around for years and doing well. Good for group dinners or family gatherings.

My family had dinner here last night and was very happy with the service and the food. After reading all the negative reviews online i almost cancelled my reservation, fortunately my wife insisted we try it out. We ordered peking duck, singapore style fresh lobster, salty egg king prawns, english spinach with century egg, pork and tofu dish. Each dish had good flavours and serving size was reasonable. I would recommend trying this place out for yourself before making a judgement.

I have been to this restraunt on many occasions , I was introduced by friends and have continued to introduce more friends as I lovvvvveeee this place !!!! The food is authentic Chinese , fresh and beautiful - no cheap nasty and fast Chinese here .
I have a couple of times found the waitresses rather short and sour looking but nothing to turn me away from the place . It is one of my favourite and everybody that I have taken there has been more then please with their meals . My first visit heap was an absolute Suprize to me as I'm a fussy eater but I was in love - so much so I made the effort to let the chef know after our meal . ; ) my favourite Chinese place !

Had the combination rice and it was such a generous portion, prolly one of the best things to order. Had the iced lemon tea to go with it as well. Very thirst quenching. Nothing special, but it was good.
OMG! To die for!!! I always ask the man at the counter for 'BBQ meat with rice' and point to the ones in the window. It's only $10 and it will make you want to go back everyday!
Great. Went there on a Saturday night. Restaurant was full. Meals served very quick. Service was good. I don't know of another Chinese restaurant that lets you watch them cooking your meal. Food was the equal of any i have had anywhere else.
Decent lunch.. Roast pork is great, nice sunday lunch restraunt. Just dont expect polite service or a smile when you leave.
Give it a go.. For the food I recommend the deep fried soft shell crab, deep fried egg plant, they are my favourites but usually each time we go there we usually try something different and all of their dishes are nice in my opinion.
For the staff, the server named Rebecca is great, shes friendly and very polite.
Great for lunch. I go for lunch once a week here. All the lunch meals are about $10. Good deal. The beef brisket noodle soup is my favourite. All of the dishes are of decent quality and enough variety to have me coming back week after week.
Golden BBQ seafood restaurant are good at two things... BBQ & seafood. They do it well and I have never had a complaint about the service, talking to the cleaver wielding guy, he was more than helpful, even gave us a few extra pieces of crackle! Recommendation: Stick with the BBQ meats, they do it well!

BEST CHINESE SOUTH SIDE OF PERTH. Four of us ate at the Golden BBQ seafood restaurant tonite as after st umbing across some not to hot reviews when I got home tonite I decided to add my bit.
We have been eating there for approximately a year now on occasions possibly 12 times now, as it was first recommended for our neighbours and we love it.
Its in canningvale which is not too far from our home in Piara Waters either, which i might add is always a bonus.
We are not only served in a timely manner but the dining area is always clean and presentable. Been able to bring your own wine is fantastic, especially for the budget conscious diner. The service is solid form the young wait staff, but is sweetened by that of (I presume to be the wife of the head chef/owner) the more mature chinese lady. She always has a pleasant disposition towards all the customers that I have seen her dealing with , and the owner always greets every customer he sees when they arrive and never forgets to thank us when we leave.
I have seen nothing but respect displayed to all the patrons everytime we dine at the Golden BBQ Seafood Restaurant.
Tonite we started with delicious seasame seed covered prawn toast, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle accompanied with a sweet and sour sauce, After this we had soft-shell crab on a bed of onion and thinly sliced chillis with a hint of vinegar, which was gorgeous-not too oily and had obviously been prepared well as I detected no fishy/salty aftertaste(like softshell crab at other places I have tried).The Roast pork had ever so slightly salty yet crunchy crackling with succulent tender meat. We were also reccommended to have some chinese vegetables, these were steamed and had a spicy chilli sauce drizzled over them which had a real kick of chilli to it! I think they were called Gaikan...but Im not 100% about the correct about the spelling.
We opted to have no rice but however were offered several different options in regards to the different types of rice, eg. steamed ,fried etc.
There were two of us that wanted dessert which looked very decatant ,Ice cream over a red bean pancake(which my partner ate every last bit of it).
All of this washed down with a potfull of refreshing chinese tea.
So all in all this rates a 10 out of 10 with me, for value for money, easy to find a park, speedy service,cleanliness of venue, taste and fast friendly service...how much would you expect to pay for 3 courses and drinks for 4 rather hungry adults?
It cost us $101 AUD which I beleive is fantastic and we have all come home content and happy.
So before you read a "not so nice review" next time maybe you should experience somewhere for yourself!

We tried their lunch specials today, combination BBQ with rice, and noodle. They come with roasted duck, BBQ pork, chicken, and roasted pork with crispy skin, Generous portions and very tasty. We asked for extra sauce and chilli, no extra costs, The lunch specials are reasonable priced.
Edited latest: most recent purchase of a whole roast duck & roast pork which all both well above average. However on the other hand, their BBQ pork (char Siew) was below par. Could be different on another day.
This is an updated version of my review as we want there again recently. I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of food served. Nice and tasty. The roast pork is not overly fatty like the previous bad experience I had.
Service is above average. I seldom dine in as I usually do takeaways. But the most recent times we went, my family and I were all quite happy with the service. But most importantly is the food. Hence I altered my previous 3 star rating to 4 star rating. Well deserved.
This restaurant has a lot of tables for a book-in. The food quality was above average. Most of all, we had enjoyed dine-in here. The car parking bays are ticket free. The service was good. A bit like a fine dining restaurant. Cheers!
Nice food, even better service. The food came out fast, they were very attentive with multiple refills of tea, and read our mind when food needed to be packed. Well balanced wanton soup, special fried rice, seasonal veggies in sambal sauce and juicy prawns.
Awesome food and great value. The young gentleman behind the counter is very friendly and welcoming. Their lunch specials are great value and the roast duck I's the best I've had anywhere.
We went to Golden BBQ last night for the first time and I think it was hands down the best Chinese restaurant we have been to! Customer service was prompt and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
first time i have roasted duck in my live.. and i love it.. the crispy skin.. the duck meat so tender and juicy.. and also i can smell all the chinesse spice trough the meat,, so love it.. yummy.. good service and cheap price... hope i can try other menu on this restaurant soon.. hehehe
