Highly recomend
Excellent food and value , the best salt and pepper squid i have ever had
I only go there for prawn noodles. That’s the best place for this dish, it’s the best dish of their restaurant.
Awesome authentic love the selection, and service.... wonderful hidden gem... our family favorite.....................................................................................................................
Lovely malaysian chinese restaurant hidden in Canning Vale central. It’s not located where the main shops are so just be aware. I think it’s now run by owner from China. Love their bbq pork and wanton noodle soup. If you do order ipoh hor fun, make sure you can take spicy as it did not state on the menu that it is spicy. Friendly staff and efficient service. Was there on Wednesday night, not many people dining in but heaps of people taking away!
Very generous portion of food. Food tastes awesome..would come back again. Ambience can be better which is why i am giving 3.5 star rating...
Had take away. Ordered the whole roasted Duck. It was cooked beautifully. The rest of the dishes were pretty good also.
Would definitely buy from here again
We come here regularly and we are always satisfied with food. I have been eating hawker food for over 30 years and this never disappoints, however, I prefer my soup separate with chicken rice so I can dunk the rice, chilli and chicken on my spoon together making it a lot more moist. I also eat my ho fun without the noodles and replace it with choy sum, delicious. The staff are very accommodating with any request and we have no hesitation in recommending it.
Delicious food!! Great service
I absolutely love the fried kway teow here, it's very traditional with lovely deep flavour.
The roast duck is also amazing, everytime we get it it's moist and tasty!!
Excellent servings sizes and pricing
Highly recommend
Located at a hidden corner of this shops carpark area. Friendly staff and food came out quite fast. Had the Char Kuey Teow - good amount of chilli, well portioned, liked that they had lap cheong (Chinese sausage) in there, but noodles could be 'fried' more. Their teh tarik is decent and not too sweet. Interested to try their other dishes next time.
Good place for sichuan food with generous portions. Usually packed over weekends, good to make a booking. Have been there few times. The food was initially very good but last few times the quality and quantity has deteriorated a bit.
Spotted one of the best mee goreng in Perth. They're very generous with their ingredients and the flavour was superb. Spicy and aromatic. And there were lots of peanuts sprinkled on top of the dish. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely going back again
I am a from Penang and I love Penang hawker food. Tried there once many months ago and it was very mediocre. Then recently some chef went there and had assam laksa and she recommended the Penang Laksa. So far the second closest to Penang road or air itam laksa in Perth. Their mee goreng is the best I have had for ages. I bring my own sauce to make it more mamak like edgecumbe road or bangkok lane. Char koay teow still not there. Not one restaurant in Perth has the skill to manage a Penang char koay teow. Their ikan bakar was very nice, again not closest to Eng Lai song river ikan bakar in Gurney drive.but its ok, yes.
The wait staff is either very friendly(boss lady/manageress), friendly staff from Msia and also wood blocks from either china /taiwan or could be the bosses son hence the up himself action look. But I go there to eat my favourite food, not to make friends but if service was a little better from some of the FOH. We will be more incline to eat there more often.
If you go there for lunch special, you must try their teh peng and kopi peng..for 2.50more..best in Perth so far. I havent tried their rice dishes yet but for rice dish go chinatown or north bridge. As for all the suburban restaurants in Perth is not up there yet even in victoria park nowadays
Excellent food. Excellent customer Service. This is a fantastic little restaurant. Food is excellent and the staff are always friendly. Great price also.
Best Coffee & Cruuy noodle. Went there for a late lunch. Coffe was always the best late noon drink.
I had my fried koew Toew & My hubby had his curry mee. He claimed ti is th ebest in town. Had grill fish too. Grill to perfection but maybe more crispy next time....
Overall good food.
Great service and great food. The curry laksa is one of the best in Perth and other dishes like Ipoh hor fun and Assam laksa are also praiseworthy. Service is tip top with good attention from staff asking how the food or drinks are. This place has a new management and deco it seems and we're glad it's for the better! Only small suggestion, bring back the lor mee :)
Scrumptious!. Had take away from here a couple of times each time it's been delicious! . Loved the spicy fried rice and was really impressed with the Hainese Chicken. Flavour was great and friendly staff introduced us to their signature dipping sauces. If you're looking for great authentic food and good value for money here is the place.
Good takeaway. We tried this local Restaurant for takeaways for the first time with friends and we all ordered a main each (4 of us) plus special fried rice. Really nice food, however no leftovers so was just enough. Hubby said meals could have been a bit bigger but I thought they were pretty good. huge bag of prawn crackers for free. The place was packed and most patrons seemed to be Malaysians so we thought that was a good sign! We will definitely go again.
Had dim sum. Not a huge range but it was good. Love the Shanghai Pork Dumplings & the salt pepper squid tentacles.
Love the kangkong with cuttlefish and the squid with salt and pepper.
Yummy Curry Laksa and Dim Sum!
Best wonton noodles iv had in Perth so far, I love the wonton noodles and can definatley say if u have a good wonton at a place the rest of their food must be good, to make such an easy dish tasty is a very hard task 4/5
Friendly staffs.. Nice little place.. Had Fried kway teow, it was nice but not the best in Perth! Tak Chee does it better. Curry laksa was good too.. Generous portions.. Had to take away leftovers. Good value as its gonna be my lunch tomorrow too! :)) will go back n try other dishes.
Delightful !. THEY DELIVER. I didn't realise this before. Feeling the effects of a cold and craving some wanton soup I was very pleasantly surprised to discover my copy of the menu was not out of date and the prices were current !
Wanton Noodle Soup with BBQ Pork for me, Prawn Noodles Soup (med) with prawn, fishballs and boiled egg in prawn stock for my husband and Short Soup (wanton soup) for my 3.5 year old daughter.
Delivered in a very short amount of time....... grand total of $28.50.
Food was exceptional. Perfect amount of everything in each serve. Both Stocks were delicious and so fresh.
This is a picture I took just before I ate it. I didn't try to make it look fantastic, I just flipped it into my bowl like that.
.........they also do Dim Sum Lunch daily. But don't tell anyone or it will be too busy for us to get in !!!
The new "old" T@urus H@wkers?. Wow...what can I say about the hawker fare from this place? This may just be some of the best Hawker food south of the river. As some of the hawker food fans from SOR may have noted few establishments have managed to match Taurus during it's hey day (Spencer Village and then first 4-5 years at Collins Rd). I think I may have found a worthy replacement. :)
My very first dish purchased here was a "hot" Kway Teow which burned through my mouth leaving flames and remnants of tastebuds. The enjoyment factor was somewhat diminished because of that.
However tonight the family decided to sample a few different dishes so we can truly gauge the specialities of this place.
Here was the damage:
1) Kway Teow - "medium hot" 9.5/10
2) Hokkien mee - "sambal on side" 9/10
3) Mee Goreng - "medium hot" 9.5/10
4) Penang Assam Laksa - 8.5/10
5) Rochor mee - "sambal on side" 9/10
6) Special Fried Rice - 8.5/10
So far everything we've tried has been amazingly tasty. Their kway teow and mee goreng were absolutely scrumptious. Price is quite cheap for the dish size and in comparison to many other lesser establishments the price being charged is quite reasonable for the quality that you get.
This is definitely a gem hidden in outer suburbia. Well worth a visit if passing through. Just remember that their idea of "hot' is "super hot" so watch out for that. Medium hot was plenty hot, even for a Malaysian-born Aussie Indian! :)
Peter C. Top restraurant. The staff are so friendly and the prices are great. Not to mention the food, it is outstanding.
Supurb. Truly amazing food.
Makes me want to jump on an Air Asia flight to Malaysia, and get the total immersion in culture, not just the food which is to die for.
The Rendang Beef is like sooo sooo nice, we used to eat this at Bibik Chan's, and still would, but that's 30Km's further to drive, we can drive 5 minutes around the corner to Penang Delight.
We've eaten in and taken away, and we are happy with this local restaurant delivering a lovely meal at great value, nice pleasant surrounds and good happy service, well worth the $$$ spent, we hope you enjoy this place as much as we do.
We ordered take away to be delivered for our first time trying this place and were told 45 mins. Arrived in 30, was absolutely delicious. Doesn't look much from the outside but the food we couldn't find fault with. Infact we might have it tonight.
Great take away. Purchased Take- away the other night and was very happy with the meals ordered.
We had :
Penang Fired Kway Teow (mild as wifey is not a big chili eater),garlic king prawns, and szechuan chicken, and a large steamed rice.
Initially when i saw the menu I thought it was a bit pricey, however the the amount you get in the take away container is well worth it, and the flavours of each dish were very good
overall it was a great food. The owner of the place is very friendly and provided prompt attention.
Thumbs Up. I was craving for char kway teow and read the reviews from Urbanspoon and decided on Penang Delight. No regrets at all. It was just what I wanted. Better than Ten Ten Restaurant. Generous amount of pork sausage and bean sprouts. The taste of the authentic char kway teow was not compromised at all, spot on. The chicken rice was good as well. The rice was tasty and the serving of chicken was equally generous. We did not have much from the large varietied menu but would be making a trip again to this place which deserves the credit. Friendly and polite staff too but as business is good they need more staff on the floor. Highly reccommend this suburban delight.
Singapore Noodles!!?!!. Tried it for the first time.. We were after a quick meal on the way to the movies, so just had Satay Beef sticks entree, nice satay, but could have been more for the price. I had Sambal Fried Mee Hoon (hot) -be warned, I think I will tone down to med next time, however I really enjoyed them. I "specialise" in the good ole Singaprore noodles, as I call them, and they are all unique, their Fried Mee Hoon would rate in my top 3. Wifey had the Kway Teow (med) - probably a bit hot for her as she is not a chilli person, but again very impressed. Looking forward to going back again to sample some of the dishes reviewed by the Perth Food Engineers, good review girls :-) damn really need take some photos of the dishes, will do next time.
PS> could lose the plastic table clothes, felt like my arms were sticking to them each time I leant on the table.. however all forgiven for the great food..
A local favourite of ours with great Malay/singapore food and frindly staff.
Probably the best char kuay teow in Perth. It comes with optional kerang (cockles) but these are the frozen sort so you get the texture but not the flavour. If anyone knows of a better place to get kuay teow in Perth, I'd love to know...
