Review Sit At Siam Thai Restaurant - Capalaba

I love this Thai restaurant! A local favourite for sure. It is a small place that does some serious takeaway food, so dine-in service can be a little slow. Just ask them to bring out things when they’re ready, share some drinks and relax. The service is always with a smile and the food is amazing! I’ve had takeaway from there as well, but you do loose some of the crispiness of the spicy fried chicken, as well as the presentation and ambiance. Prices are reasonable, so next time you’re in mood for Thai, this is the best in the area.

Best Thai I have had in years. I will not go anywhere else. I have almost been through the whole menu and have loved every dish. Service is 10/10, and I am always greeted with a smiling face. Highly recommend the cashew nut chicken and the red curry.

The best food. Airconditioned, fast service and delicious food. First time I've had the crab and prawn roll entree. Couldn't fault any of the food. A big serve of Pad Thai so got to take some home. That was the lunch menu.

Almost a 5 stars for me. Very very close. Pros: - fantastic atmosphere! Love how everything is set up and the soft music in the background. - great food presentation. - love all the plates and loving all the ceramics. - really friendly staff. Felt very comfortable and welcomed. Cons: - the tofu used was very hard and chewy, wasn't the best texture. - the pad thai was very over seasoned but the green curry was a bit too mild.

EDIT TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: I offer my apologies to everyone in the restaurant, back and front staff, as it turnS out my partner haSs gotten a virus and was not made sick from the food. Terrible timing it seems. I am changing our ratings from 2 to 4 stars, since I still maintain I found my fried rice too salty and greasy compared to others I have tried, but he enjoyed his pad thai now that he knows it did not make him sick. I forgot to update this review yesterday after finding out he “simply” had gastro… and I am sorry for this. Yes, I should have mentioned something right away, and I will learn how to do this should it happen again. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Writting this review as my partner is vomiting last night’s dinner. He has felt sick all night from his extra greasy pad thai. I haven’t been sick but I definitely did not like my extra salty and greasy fried rice. The 2 stars are for the service, the lady was absolutely lovely. We should have changed plans when she apologised for being on the phone so long with a costumer making a complaint though…

Worst Thai food I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve tried many places). Ordered the green curry and the duck curry - both had inedible overcooked frozen veggies in them. The roti bread was extremely greasy and undercooked. Prawns in the Tom yum soup were pre-cooked and frozen. The only thing keeping this place open is the exorbitant prices they charge for cheap quality food. Will never go back.

A very comfortable and relaxed dining experience, with excellent customer service. Did not have to wait long for our order and the quality of the food was very good, and delicious. I would definitely like to come here again, and next time even try the deep fried ice cream.

Sit at Siam is my favorite thai restaurant in Brisbane from last 3 years. I always take a long trip to eat this incredible food. For vegan, freshness of vegetable is really important and all the ingredient of this restaurant is so so much fresh, that's why I started to come this restaurant often.(I'm not vegan anymore) I've tried most of the menu they have, and mostly was authentic with deep rich flavours. Here I had the best green curry so far without exaggerating, the pork belly is really amazing too. Great atmosphere inside as its decoration and good music is good to have some wine with friends. No corkage charges here, I always bring my drinks to here. The restaurant owner Yao and staffs are also super friendly and always available for a chat.

Visited here for the first time tonight. Amazed by how good this was. Apparently taken over by new owners about 2 years ago, this place was buzzing and the food was sensational. I've been in the Redlands 10 years now and have tried most Thai places. I now have found the best! Cant wait to go back for more!

SIT AT SIAM is in my opinion the best Thai restaurant near Brisbane, the owners are extremely friendly just like Thai people, food is exceptional, tasty and very well presented. Price is also affordable, I recommend this place to everyone...you won't regret it �

The food is the best around. It is so good once you start eating it you can't stop even when you are full. The staff are very pleasant as well which make for a very enjoyable place to eat at.

Had a chance to try this restaurant(under new management) last week. The food was beautiful with generous portion and reasonable price. Will definitely go back again, highly recommend !!!!

We just lucked in at this superb little suburban restaurant for a quiet girly catch up - had no idea it was here or new but the food was amongst the best Thai I have ever experienced. Thanks for the wonderful service and delicious food. Wishing you all the very best in your new venture! Should be on the Must-Do Brisbane list! We will be back with friends!

I love this restaurant!! We've been coming since the new owners took over and it just keeps on getting better!! It's by far the best Thai food in the Bayside area.

Our dishes were tantalising! Love the take away option but dine in to enjoy the high class plating and service! Excited to enjoy food of this standard in Capalaba!

First time here last week. 5 of us had a Birthday celebration and everything was spectacular - all the dishes, the friendly and helpful service -EVERYTHING. We will be back for sure. Best Thai anywhere including lots in Thailand.

I do not agree with the negative review from Juncheng at all. <br/><br/>The food here is very good. Excellent flavours. I ordered the pork belly phrik khing. The meat was excellent, certainly not old or hard. The sauce was a nice blend of heat and sweetness. My partner ordered the yellow curry which she also enjoyed. We have tried many of the Thai restaurants in the area and this one has impressed me much more than the others. <br/><br/>The service was fast and pleasant. The prices are reasonable. Will be back.

Excellent food and and service. Junchang Wang has totally misrepresented this restaurant for someone else's purpose, the fish is terrific so I don't know why he wrote the review.

I ordered steamed fish but it was so dry and the sauce was salty. My husband ordered pork berry smelled like very old meat and too hard.<br/><br/>We won’t come back for sure.

Love this restaurant! We've been coming here since it opened and it just keeps getting better! The food is great, the service is attentive but never intrusive and there's a great atmosphere.<br/>They have just recently replaced the floor coverings which gives a fresh and modern lift to the decor, it's all about the detail and this place has it all!!

A new and modern look for a Thai restaurant in Capalaba. The flavour and taste of the food is fantastic, the menu is extensive and reasonable prices. If you like real Thai flavour, just let the staff know and your dish won't be westernised.

Last night I had my dinner at Sit@Siam, a lovely little Thai restaurant in Capalaba, start from coconut prawns, looks fantastic and main I had spicy noodle with chicken taste so delicious. Service was good. <br/>Would definitely come back again.

Been to plenty of Thai restaurants but I always come back to Sit @ Siam! Absolutely good service and excellent food for an affordable price!
