Review The Teahouse - Caringbah

Congrats to the new owners!! I’ve been so looking forward to coming to have tea and scones. The tea and dessert are great!!! Just to clarify my 2 stars , not for the food at all . The food itself as I’ve been coming here for years are 5 stars. The service to be desired. We got a great seat!!! But service started very poorly. Was bought a bottle of water , after ordering and asking for glasses , that’s 10/15min , they were bought over . Dessert served …… but where’s the tea…. . It eventually came after asking …and nearly finishing the dessert. No sugar no milk. All in all some tweaking to do with staff. All in all I will come back as I really do like that place and this review is only to make you better! Good luck Jade

We came here for a Mother's Day high tea. The venue is amazing, the staff are incredibly helpful and just over all lovely. We will definitely come back.

Friendly service, relaxing atmosphere situated in Camellia Gardens. The tea was nice and refreshing. The scones and coffee were average. The café was relaxing, a great place to enjoy nature and a zen moment.

Absolutely amazing food friendly staff and an amazing garden to burn off calories after eating all the yummies.

Overall a fairly underwhelming experience. The food is average. Turkey club sandwich was listed on the menu as being served with chips, however on arrival there were none. Staff said they no longer do chips. Lamb pine nut salad was requested without nuts due to a member of our party having an allergy, dish arrived with nuts and had to be remade. Our coffee order was misplaced, with one of the three not arriving at all. The staff were friendly and happy to assist. However the venue in general seemed a little overwhelmed by a simple Saturday afternoon lunch service.

I visited at 1pm for lunch with 2 children. I do reviews online and I’m disappointed I’ve had to post negative reviews. I asked for colouring in stuff for my guests who are both 11. They made me wait 45 minutes for something they were printing. I couldn’t leave a tip. The food was very average. I’m sad to report that I feel we were judged on our appearance and were treated like trash. What a shame you’ve done this to a professional reviewer. Sorry I’ve rated you as 2 stars. The lovely girl that served us seemed panicked. The lady with dark hair that took the payment was lovely. The lady with the blonde hair was not very nicely mannered. I hope you can improve the experience for others. That’s my main goal as a reviewer. The tea house has a history of excellent chips and that’s gone, no more chips. My scone was lovely. It’s in the Camelia gardens, surely 1 staff member can get fresh flowers from the gardens occasionally. The fake flowers on the table were terrible. Please note that nobody requests reviews from my business, reviews are delivered as incognito diners.

Beautiful Iocation, book ahead as its small, but plenty of places in the garden to enjoy a takeaway. We dined in, friendly staff, great coffee and I purchased a delicious tea to bring home. Camellia Gardens are beautiful. Will visit again.
