Review The Laneway Cafe - Caringbah

Ordered mixed mushroom and it was delicious. Pet friendly, great service. Our puppies were happy !

My fiancé and I had our engagement party at Laneway last weekend and it was the best time! Laneway took care everything, the setting was beautiful in the courtyard and the food and drink just kept on flowing. The most frequently asked question by our 70-strong group, "HOW DID YOU GUYS KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE?!". I think that's testament to how much everyone was enjoying themselves. Would recommend to absolutely anyone looking to throw a function. Thanks so much Larissa and the team, we appreciate you so much!!!

Edited 4 years and two owners later: We tried the laneway again and we were pleasantly surprised. I thank the new owners for reaching out here and suggesting we try again. We popped in unannounced and liked all the offerings. Portuguese burger was yum, chips were hot and well cooked. Chicken snitz wrap was tasty and well balanced. Kids shared a ham cheese toasted sourdough- everything was a winner. The ice coffee came as a hot coffee but thats a minor thing. The coffee was yum as was the soy chai. We even had food envy- baked pumpkin, steak sandwich. Look forward to keep giving it another go. 4 year old review: We used to come here often, they were consistent, often a wait for food and coffee, but always yummy and good quality. We hadn’t been since the new ownership. Menu has been refined, although similar to before in content, sadly not in quality. Four people ate lunch, some with coffee or beer and were all very unhappy with the quality and size. The burger paddy was half the size of the bun, with limited extras. The salads sounded yummy but were disappointing and not appetising. The new owner is earnest, really not the same comfortable atmosphere as before. The guy, who looked like the owner, didn’t know his menu. Don’t think we’ll be back.

I had my engagement party here in early April! I can not suggest this venue enough, the food was delicious and we had a lot of positive feed back from our guest. The laneway team was accomodating and easy to communicate with. They’re planned the event exactly how we envisioned, it went smoothly and stress free on our special day. We couldn’t have been happier.

Good breakfast with good coffee. The chilli scrambled eggs were not that chilli though, i was expecting a bit of a kick which it didn't have.

Great combo for avo on toast👏 BUT got peas when I ask for none, and they used an unripe avo and tried to hide it 😔by placing it under some smashes avo. dodgy trick🤥!.... Other than that poached eggs where perfect and it wasn't too crowded, which is nice!

Visited for an early morning breakfast and was treated by two happy blokes. Food and coffee came super fast and smiles all around.

Thank you for a fabulous Melbourne Cup day. You did everything so well and we had a fantastic time x
