Satays were amazing had the chicken and lamb mix.. I prefer the chicken ones better. They were Authentic satay stewers, they were flavoursome and moist, similar to the ones you get in Singapore and the same goes for the Cha Kuey Tiao . The most disappointing was the laksa.. which I had with hainan chicken and boiled egg, although it was a generous portion it lacked flavour and taste. It was a big bowl of watery coconut water, worst than what you’d get at a food court.
Would return for the satays and noodles.
The dishes are very authentic, tastes the same from the ones sold in malaysia and singapore. I love the intense flavourful flavours like it makes me so happy and it makes me satisfied everytime. I would definitely recommend 10/10
One of the best Chinese-Malaysian restaurant I have. 5 star for all dishes so far! Would return again. Really amazed by the food here. Drink was also very special too
Went last night for dinner. The food was excellent . Had the Beef Rendang and Satay beef skewers.
Staff was very friendly. Home cooked style Malaysian food and priced very well. Highly recommend this place. Parking in carlingford shopping centre
New Malaysian restaurant in Carlingford, been here a couple of times and I really like it! So happy there’s another alternative nearby to Papparich. Favorites so far are the Ying Yang Horfun and Hokkien Char. Ask for the green chili and sambal, they make the dishes so much more flavorsome! Portions are big! Queue is long though 😅
During covid, I was only able to do take-away and usually I would order their mamak mee goreng. Their mee goreng is very flavourful and is very consistent with flavour every time I ordered it for take-away.
For dining in ordering family style dishes majority of their food is very flavourful. Love their Hainanese chicken because it’s nice and tender with flavour.
However, the staff can be a bit rude but overall their food is good. Would definitely come back for more of their food.
The range of malaysian dishes is wide. Will have to come back to try more items on the menu. Out of the 6 dishes I've ordered 4 of them I would recommend. Hainan chicken, the rice is top flavour. The nase lemak i got the beef rendang, amazing flaovour and the sambal on the side was really good too. Bakuteh is probably not everyones cup of tea but this is one is nice.
Popped in to get some takeaways. Ordered Hai Nan chicken, chicken curry and lamb curry which was all amazing and very reasonably priced. The service was friendly and great! Can’t wait to try more delicious meals!!!
I have visited Albee's a few times over the years and the Malaysian food here never disappoints. The dishes are tasty, flavoursome and authentic. The dishes are reasonably priced and the portions are generous. I would highly recommend the Currys puffs! We always order 1 to eat and then a dozen to takeaway to enjoy afterwards. Highly recommended!
Very popular Malaysian joint for good reason. A huge selection of authentic Malay dishes, with very large portions. Service is fast and staff are knowledgable. Be prepared to wait for a table during peak times. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu but I recommend the Nasi Lemak set.
Fantastic Malaysian cuisine. Everything was incredibly tasty and packed with intense, yet balanced, flavours.
Highlights were the:
* Satay chicken skewers (the satay sauce is to die for!)
* Massaman beef (chunks of beef were tender. Lean, but not dry at all)
* Curry lamb shanks (fragrant curry sauce. Lamb had no 'gamey' taste)
* Loh bak (well seasoned, tasty combination of fillings)
Only complaint is that the takeaway boxes were not sealed tightly. Sauce/curries spilt and leaked all over the bottom of the bag.
During the Sydney Covid-19 lockdown, we ordered few home delivery and pick-up from Albee Carlingford. Both experiences were smooth, and we managed to try variety of food especially with their lockdown weekend special set menu.
Amongst the dishes we tried, the highlights were Curry Puffs, Seaweed Fishball Soup, Marmite Chicken, Kuching Laksa and Har Mee.
Delicious and generous malaysian cuisine! Went here with 3 other friends and ordered some dishes to share including a serving of chicken satay skewers, the chicken curry puffs (which are really good and includes a whole boiled egg inside!), cha kwey teow, belacan kangkong and the nyonya style cincalok omelette. We then had our own mains which included the chicken curry with roti and potatoes, nasi lemak and the sarawak laksa
We had grossly underestimated the generosity of each of the dishes and were completely stuffed by the end of it!
Side note on bookings - we went on a Monday night and without a booking however it was pretty busy so I would suggest to book ahead just in case
Will definitely be back!
