Review Excellent Chinese Seafood Restaurant - Carlingford

Maung Chaint
We have been this restaurant for many times. Mostly for Yum Cha. Not bad. Price is a little be above average. But taste is nice. This time we were there for dinner. The dishes are nice and tasteful. One of the biggest problem for us is that a little bit of salty for our dishes and high side of MSG :D :D. Other than that the service is top rated.

Good place for dim sum style yum cha. The seating wasn't comfortable as six of us had to squeeze in a table for four. The air con ventilation was poor and we felt suffocated. The staff was friendly.

yum cha that does not disappoint! ordered more than enough for 3 hungry people and only paid $80! a number of dishes are made to order which makes it even better

First time visit and I confess, the service was amazing and quite attentive to our needs and requests. The food on the other hand was quite delicious. I never had live fish cooked before and I admit that I don't want to go back, it was fresh, tender and I would love to order that again. The duck was crispy and a delight to eat, I couldn't help but have more, like I did with the salt and pepper squid. If I do visit again, I'd love to try more of their menu and maybe even consider the lobster. I am indeed a sucker for a mouthwatering meal.

All time favourite family dinner place. They always have new dishes on the menu. Lobster is fresh. Other dishes are authentic taste as well. Friendly staffs. Recommended for group of people.

Dodge place for pricing. We went there for a Yum Cha lunch and a big sign outside displaying daily yum cha free of tea charge. When paying the bills, I asked if any difference between cash of credit card, and the lady said no difference. Happily paid by credit card and asked for a receipt. Only found out that the tea charge was not free after a quick look of the receipt, and she replied tea charge only free for cash payment. And suggest next time to pay cash instead. I don’t really care about the 5 bucks but the way she dealt with customer was very dodge and tricky. This was the first time we want to try this place and there won’t be another time for me to visit. No wonder some friends had some negative comments and I learned it with my real experience. Will go back to the other Yum Cha place which was just 300 metres away and there food was even better than this one. Final tip, make sure to ask for a receipt and also pay by cash if want the tea charge for free.

Fairly average Joseph. Visited on a Friday lunch, stairs are narrow and can be slippery. Been here for many years actually but since it changed ownerships the yum cha is rather mediocre. On this occasion, when I tried to order a particular dish I got yelled at as it was no longer a dish. When I told them that they should remove the dish she told me that it was expensive to print.
