Ordered take away, I enjoyed the fried prawn & chicken dumplings and Shanghai fried noodles. Noodles were well seasoned and not too oily. Tastes similar to Pings dumplings in Clayton. Only negative is that they charge for sauces. Will order again.

No fuss, no frills, solid feed. Iāve tried a few of the dumplings and would recommend the pan fried Peking pork as the best. Throw in some oyster sauce Chinese broc with added garlic and you have yourself a balanced meal!
We went here a few times a couple of years ago, but their dumplings were hit and miss and started to go downhill. We were in the area on the weekend and though we'd give them another try. I couldn't fault the dumplings this time, dumplings were crispy on the bottom and soft on the top. Chilli wontons were good, the glutinous rice in bamboo leaves wasn't as good as some other other places, although the glutinous rice and pork dim sim were good.
Dumplings are yummy and so worth the money! Ordered the steamed dumplings and pan fried dumplings. I preferred the steamed dumplings as they are juicier. The noodles are good too but a bit oily. Overall very affordable and tasty food.
We ordered fried pork and steamed vegetarian dumplings with a side of Chinese broccoli. This place is our go to place for cheap and cheerful dumplings.

I am not embarrassed to say that I am a regular customer at Auntieās Dumpling. The must get items for me are the shanghai noodles - always fried well, not overly oily and with a delicious moreish seasoning. The boiled pork dumplings are also a must get - a huge plate of dumplings skillfully made with tasty pork filling. The other must get is the chicken and prawn fried dumplings. They are served piping hot to the table with crisp skins and the combination of chicken and prawn is so delicious. This place is no frills but is really affordable. The lady boss may look stern but she is very nice, runs a tight ship and knows all her regulars. A gem in Carnegie.
Great quantity of food and cheap price. Noodles little bit dull and tasteless compared to dumplings. Maybe I tried beef noodles for the next time. But it is fulfilling. Dumplings is great and tasty. Would Come back for next time
Hands down my favourite dumpling shop in Melbourne this is not a place where you would take someone to wine and dine by any means it is a bit rougher on the eye but makes up for it in its food. It can get packed out once I was actually sat on the same table as someone else and had to advise the staff I like my own space. Be prepared to wait during the busy times and this is a cash only restaurant. I would go there any night of the week for their shanghai noodles fried pork dumplings and their chicken and prawn steam dumplings!!!

One of Carnegieās most popular restaurants. Auntieās is always crowded and noisy but itās worth it for the delicious food. The Fried Sliced Rice Cake is a favourite.
Always high quality of dumplings and noodles. Our go to place when we are in the area with kids. Down side is service staff makes it feel like we are at a wake. A little smile would go a long way.
My go to for Shanghainese dumplings and noodles. I love the silky smooth texture of the noodles themselves and the heartily generous serving sizes comfortably feed two. The kitchen doesnāt hold back when it comes to the chilli in the spicy chicken and dan dan noodles but thatās exactly why I love them. When Iām in the mood for something a bit lighter or cleaner tasting, the braised pork chops with pickled mustard leaves and five spice egg is home comfort in a bowl.

Dumplings and a few sides were delicious and really quick to be served up ready to be eaten. But we were the only patrons inside the venue and it took a little bit too long to get our order taken. Staff werenāt very attentive. Dumplings 8/10
The best veggie noodles I have had in a long time and steamed buns were fantastic!! Veggie dumplings were a bit dry. Would definitely revisit !
Really love the fried pork dumplings, both taste and texture. Has a really nice crunch and chew to the skin of the dumpling and the skin wasn't overly thick.
Also got the noodle with pork sauce. Basically a dry noodle dish with meat sauce, sort of like a chinese version of spaghetti bolognese. Meat amount was generous, even had leftover meat after finishing the noodles, which is always a good sign. Noodle texture might be a thing of personal preference, as some may not like it.
The special chilli beef on rice is also pretty tasty. Tender slices of beef. Although it's labelled as "spicy" and was cooked with a few chilli, it wasn't spicy at all.
Quick, cheap and delicious dumplings. Service and decor nothing special at all, but as you'd expect for the price. They only accept cash. Try theĀ Xiaolongbao, it's delicious. And I love the pumpkin cakes too.

Out of all the dumplings places along Koornang Road, my favourite has to be Auntie's. If you overlook the service and the decor and focus solely on the quality of the food then you'll enjoy this place.
I always order the pan-fried pork dumplings, Shanghai noodles with pork, xiao long bao and Chinese spinach and pork wontons in soup. Today I added spring onion pancakes to that defined selection. It was ok, nothing spectacular.
There can be be language barriers on occasion and the place only takes cash. Highly recommend!

My favourite dish is the chicken and prawn pan fried dumplings. Fried perfectly, with a crispy outer layer. Tastes really good when paired with their chilli sauce!
Shanghai fried noodles and steamed dumplings are just as good. Only downside is that sometimes I find that the steamed dumplings can get pretty soggy, as excess liquid from dumplings are not drained thoroughly.

Walking along Koornang Road, we went āeeny meeny miny moeā, landed on a restaurant, and walked straight in. Auntieās Dumpling it was. Decorated in almost the same lacklustre manner as the other hundred dumpling places around Melbourne, the only thing setting Auntieās apart is their mouth-watering dumplings and noodles. Anything else, order at your own risk. We noticed that most of the items listed under āsnacksā are store-bought and this includes the xiao long bao, and buns.
The dumplings, both boiled and pan-fried, are filled with generous amount of fillings and are encased by a thin layer of skin. The pan-fried version obviously has the better mouthfeel due to the crisped bottom, but the boiled dumplings are just so juicy and tender.
The serving size of the noodles, and even the rice dishes, usually mean that you wonāt have room for dumplings, so be warned! However, it will be a waste if you donāt try any of their noodle soup so do come in group to maximise the number of items you can order.
Donāt worry about breaking the bank. The food is filling and very affordable. A lot of items are just around the $10 mark. Lastly donāt expect any pleasantries with the staffs; they are intent on just serving you and getting you out of the door.
The food here is decent. Xiao Loong Baos were nice but inconsistent as some didnāt have the soup in them and some had very thick skins. The Shanghai fried noodles were good and so were the beef and veggies in soup noodles - the beef was very tender and Iād recommend these 2 noodles dishes. The rest were acceptable too. All in all, a good meal at a very reasonable price
I always like coming here to satisfy my dumpling cravings. Decently priced and portioned the dumplings really hit the spot and are available, steamed, fried, and in soups. The service although efficient, is not the warmest. But who can argue with good food?
Cheap yummy dumplings. Usually go with the fried ones even though they are unhealthy. Fast service and always crowded. The Shanghai fried noodles are also a favourite. Just don't look at the amount of oil at the bottom of the dish =P

Favourite haunt for dumplings. Have been going here for nearly 10 years and food has always been consistently good. Very affordable and great variety. Very busy, so get there early. An Asian friend of mine showed me how to eat the Shanghai fried pork mini buns properly. You poke a hole in the top, drink the hot liquid from the hole and then eat the bun. If you try and eat the bun with the liquid still inside, you will probably squirt very hot liquid over your face. Enjoy.
A trip to Melbourne is never complete without visiting aunties dumplings! Value for money and taste is above and beyond anything here in Brisbane. Cosy and friendly place that would recommend every time. Can be quite busy at times though.
Eaten here twice now with my partner. Service was fast & efficient, food was very good (steamed & pan fried pork dumplings, Shanghai stir fried noodles with pork), portions decent and no complaints about the price. The chili oil provided on their tables is also great (fragrant with shallots, not crazy spicy or old/rancid tasting). You have to ask for soy sauce though, which they bring out upon request free of charge.

I eat a lot of dumplings. I've eaten at the top dumpling restaurants in box hill, Camberwell, the CBD, Richmond as well as various dumpling houses in China and Taiwan. And I can safely conclude that Aunties Dumplings is the best place for steamed pork dumplings in Melbourne.
Aunty is seriously a miracle worker. The dumpling pastries melt in your mouth, I can only compare them to ones that I ate in Kaohsiung, nothing else can rival that texture.
Carnegie is a goldmine for eating, and this is a staple of the area.

Had the pan fried pork and boiled vegetable dumplings. They may not taste the best, but theyāre the cheapest! Still of reasonable quality.

We have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious and affordable. Service is always prompt. The boiled dumplings are by far the best I have ever had. Always very accommodating of our assistance dog too.

Having moved back to the area after a couple years away, Aunties dumplings were the thing I was looking forward to the most, the peking pork dumplings have to be my favourite meal in Melbourne, absolutely love this place!

Liked the food. It was value for money and service was fast. Its just that auntie never smiles and the people serving neither. Nevertheless, service is fast. I never had one dollar chicken soup before.. Large bowl chicken soup, obviously no chicken pieces.,it wasn't bad either. Sliced garlic pork on rice was good and so was the veggie noodles..and most important.. Cash only!
