The decor and atmosphere of the place is cute and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. The food is also quite nice..
Took my partner here once and he doesn't eat Thai, he now suggests to come here EVERY WEEK - he is obsessed! Make sure you get a curry, caramelized pork and pad see ewe and you won't be disappointedđ!
The service is great too, just wish it wasn't so noisy in there!
Service is awesome, staff is very friendly.
Cheap & good Thai food đ„ Clean restaurant and newly renovated. Absolutely loved the atmosphere, somewhat similar to a cafe vibe.
đ Visited in April 2018
Tried the chicken burger and the eggs Benedict with pulled pork. Both were great and I'll definitely be back to try their dinner menu.
Sibling Spice is fantastic. The value for money is really good and the food consistent. We normally get takeaway but the restaurant is also quite nice if you want to eat in.
There can be a long wait time however as the place is so popular.
The food here is amazing! Simple but everything is extremely fresh, healthy and flavoursome. I love the special from the wok! Also the dumplings are probably the best in Melbourne! The service is also great! Very modestly priced also!
Tom yum, green curry, pad thai, pad see ew and papaya salad - all shared.
Food was great, with the only gripe being that the green curryâs chicken wasnât exactly cut into bite sizes. Tom yum was good but overall, the seafood plus tasted more on the bland side. Other than that, great food! Pad Thai was balanced well with its sweetness and the Thai milk tea was also refreshing.
Service could have been a little better with organising our orders for drinks (but to be fair, there were a lot of orders...).
I would definitely return, with the value presented also being much better than many other Thai restaurants.
The atmosphere is very good in this area and also provide a range of Thai food. We ordered one starter and three mains.
Mixed entree: a taste of almost everything in the starter menu. Everything is super crisp and normal.
The crisp fish and garlic&chilli source: fried fish fillet is quite crisp and source is very strong, when combined tastes
The beef curry is extreme tender and delicious and the curry is smells so good.
Fat rice noodle: great rice noodle!! Very tender and the caramelised parts add the crispness and irresistible flavours. You can tell that the rice noodle is specially made with care.
Overall, unexpected high quality that food with great source.
I love eating around Carnegie because itâs got all the best restaurants in the one area, so when I saw Sibling Spice I just had to visit to see what they had to offer.
With a brunch menu and a separate dinner menu, this place has got everything that you need. The buttery croissant with smashed avo certainly caught my attention, and must I say the plating of it was quite pretty. Taste wise it was good, although nothing too special. The balsamic glaze was a nice addition to it, as otherwise it would have been a little plain. We also ordered the kransky hotdog, with jalapeño salsa and mild mustard hot sauce. A very tasty meal although the hot dog was quite small. Most dishes on the brunch menu are relatively cheap and quality of great too, Iâll certainly be back to try their dinner menu.

A fantastic find in Carnegie - yummy food, reasonable prices and really light and comfortable ambience. I got the breakfast Fish Tacos: they were fresh, crispy and just melted in my mouth. My friend got the pad see ewe with chicken and said it was also delicious. The advantage of Sibling Spice is that it offers both normal Thai food and brunch food at the same time - so it perfectly caters for groups who canât decide what mood theyâre in for food.
I have been here for breakfast, brunch/ lunch and dinner (it now turns into Paradai Thai for dinner).
I absolutely love their soft shell crab bao and their decor is super adorable! You do have to wait a little while for the food. But definitely worth the wait.Â
It can get really busy at dinner time, so best to book to avoid disappointment.
Sibling Spice is related to Paradai Thai which will be relocating to operate in Sibling Spice shortly. I ordered the Thai iced milk tea which was sweet, fragrant and refreshing. I also had the breakfast ramen. The ramen came with bacon, dumplings, an onsen egg and corn. The broth was piping hot and had a nice balance of flavours. It was a satisfying dish. The flavour of the chilli vinegar dumplings were well-balanced and they were plump and juicy. The place is clean and decor is bright. I will come back and try the other dishes as they all look delicious.
Best fish Taco I have ever tried! Dumplings are good quality as well. They are not the same as the ones I had in Chinese restaurant and I would rather say they are steamed wongtonèžéŠé„š. Pretty amazing!
Great place for some breakfast, they have good quality coffee and their ramen is really really good (better than the ramen shop in carnegie).
Had previously had coffee at this place and it was great. This time we arrived late at night and we were keen to try the food instead. The pad thai was very tasty the noodles were fantastic and the massamun beef curry was nice and creamy.
Pad kee mao, steamed dumplings and the coconut custard desert the meal tonight was honestly to die for! Who wouldâve thought this could have become even better since we moved away. Well worth the trip across town, we will definitely be back.

A modern well lit Thai cafe which is spacious and well presented. There is a day and night menu but we came here just for drinks.
Ordered an ice chai and a chocolate milkshake .
The milkshake is well presented. Soft, pink fairy floss and a meringue character sits on top of the drink
The iced chai latte is aromatic with spice and topped with a scoop of icecream.
Great coffees to begin. We ordered the croissant smashed avo and the pork Benedict. Both dishes were full of flavour and the croissant was buttery and flaky. The prices were very reasonable and the service time was great.

Went to have brunch with my friend for birthday catch up today, the food was lovely, healthy and looked pretty! Iâm glad to have them on my birthday!
I've been here for brunch and had amazing food (kale salad & waffles). I love the atmosphere, the service and it is pram friendly. Came back for dinner and was disappointed. Had expected it to be on par with Paradai Thai or better, but it was unfortunately not. Satay was runny, rice was dry and food was not flavorful.
Hope that the food improves because it's a great place for kid friendly catch ups.
Really nice cafe. Very spacious and friendly staff. The food was really nice and had a lot of unique flavours which worked really well together. Only let down was brown avocado on both dishes. This was the only let down.
Not too bad at all, the venue is pretty large! Menu nice. Service was okay but the meat and benny was a huge hit! Would eat that again and again.
I came here with a blogger friend. The breakfast ramen with the 65 deg egg left an impression on me. I've never thought about ramen for breakfast. The broth could have more flavour.
The french toast garden is visually spectacular. Really cute. The deep fried brioche was something different and I appreciated it. The chocolate mousse was a bit too bitter for my liking but I liked the dish overall.
The interior is very well done. Great lighting and slick fit out. Overall the cafe / lunch spot a much needed addition to Carnegie. Sibling spice up your life!
Opened in December 2017, Sibling Spice is an avante garde brekky venue which has somehow failed to gain a foothold with Carnegie consumers since its inception. It ticks all of the boxes: the food is excellent, the ambience sublime, and the wait staff pleasant. Why is no one eating here?
What the owners chose not to invest in the menu (which was misappropriated from Left Field a few kms down the road) they have instead invested in Scandinavian oak timber, which is festooned across tabletops and walls as far as the eye can see. It is incredibly well appointed. The plant life is the only shortcoming on the aesthetical side of the bargain, with the creepers failing to take flight and the shrubs looking underwhelmed (there is a dead Boston ivy specimen in the doorway)
I have eaten the chicken burger, the granola, the waffles and the breakfast board - all are faultless - and the coffee is unquestionably high end. Give these guys a chance!
Best coffee in Carnegie! Milk lab almond milk. Out of control brekky board. They do everything right here - we were Left Field regs and itâs on that level. Get in while there are still no lines and no pretence.
Came for brunch on Sunday and had a really lovely experience. Fast service, great chia and coffee and were really accommodating with questions for food intolerances. The atmosphere is really nice and it's a big place so not hard to get a table. I noticed the menu isn't on Zomato yet so see pictures below.
> Breakfast Ramen- 65 degree egg, smoked bacon, broth, sweet corn, sautéed mushroom, sesame + nori AND Buttery croissant, smashed avocado, pistachio dukkah, balsamic glazed + poached egg AND French toast garden- brioche cube fritter, meringue, chocolate soil, coca mascarpone, berries + maple syrup <
Amongst the very busy street of koornang road in Carnegie, Sibling Spice is a strong competitor in the suburbs café scene. They have a very large and beautifully decorated space, which offers a unique and extensive menu. The staff are very efficient and welcoming. When looking at photos of their food on the gram, it was extremely hard to choose between all the dishes they offer. However, we believe we chose some very unique and interesting meals that showcase what Sibling Spice is all about.
The breakfast ramen was a very interesting menu item so we had to give it a try. Being something different to what we usually order, we did not know what to expect. To our surprise, we really enjoyed this take on a traditional ramen as it adapts to the breakfast menu really well. The traditional noodles, soup and vegetables were executed very nicely and presented a strong flavour. The crispy bacon and 65 degree egg created this breakfast style twist, which really tied the meal together to give it the breakfast title. All the flavours present in this meal were really tasty and blended nicely together.
The smashed avo was presented a little differently to a classic âMelbourne Smashed Avoâ. Perfectly crushed avocado spread on a flaky and crispy croissant made for a very satisfying feast. Popping the poached egg and letting it ooze down the avocado into the croissant was the most satisfying feeling as the flavours of the yolk and croissant mixed together to create an irresistible flavour combination. The balsamic reduction drizzled around the plate added a really nice and strong element of sweetness to the dish, enhancing the overall flavour and execution of the meal. If youâre an avocado connoisseur, I would highly recommend trying this meal!Â
The French toast was an interesting concept as well. Cubes of brioche soaked in egg wash and crumbed, to create this amazing creation. The French toast was gooey and had a perfect moist texture, which I absolutely loved. The presentation was really cute and creative. The maple syrup poured over the top was a perfect addition to add further moisture and sweetness to the meal. There was a lot of chocolate soil scattered around the plate, so the maple definitely helped to contrast this. The fresh fruit on top was beyond incredible as it was super sweet and perfectly ripe.Â
Overall, I really did enjoy this dish a lot as it is not too sweet and sickening, but it still satisfies your breakfast needs.
I enjoyed my experience here as the food, atmosphere, and service exceeded expectations.

Dropped in here for brunch on a weekday. I settled into a windows bay with my coffee and papers. Loved the fresh airy environment. I couldnât decide between the fish tacos and dumplings so I had both!
Fish tacos- lovely flavours but I wouldâve liked less batter on my fish; but thatâs just me!! It was a very refreshing dish! 4/5
Dumplings- Approx 5 chicken and pork steamed dumplings in a bowl with vinegar and chilli. I canât and wonât fault this dish! 5/5
I will be returning to try some of the other delicious sounding dishes on the menu!
Nice modern fit out. Food was very good and super fresh with high quality ingredients. Mods to dishes perfect. Very friendly waitresses. Will try daytime menu for sure.
I have been here a few times and the coffee is decent (not the greatest). The cold brew and iced lattes I wouldnt recommend. The sizes are small compared to its price. My friend had her cold brew in a wine glass with a huge ice ball in it and after a few sips, it was all gone. I do definitely recommend the hong kong egg waffles. They're very delicious!
Been twice now. Great food but slow service. Waiting 15mins for a latte and 20 mins between our dishes. Beautiful decor. Pad Thai is magnificent and the coffee is great. Worth the wait. Canât wait for some menu specials and deals.
Great Thai (and other Asian influence) food in a spacious setting. We had the breakfast burger, pad Thai, sautéed mushroom on toast and AMK salad on toast (avocado, mango, kale). Presented beautifully, taste was pretty good...nearly there, just felt like it was missing something in the AMK combo (perhaps a little citrus and crunch?). Pad Thai was delicious! Iced chai lattes were perfect for the hot day! Friendly staff and food came out pretty quickly. Will be back to try it again a little later :)

Popped in for breakfast today and chose their Eggs Benedict Ham hock for $18.90 which was served steaming hot within 15 minutes of ordering. The eggs were cooked perfectly and to my liking "firm" and the hollandaise sauce was a perfect accompaniment. Service provision was truly great by Damien, very friendly and had a cheerful disposition. The background music was at a level that could be heard over easily although with the front windows open & a bus stop directly outside it soon became drowned out by street noise.
The Juror's Verdict: Food 3.5-4/5, Service Provision 4.75/5, Will I return: probably

The brunch menu has been significant reduced since Iâve been and it formally merged with Paradai Thai. Disappointing selection from a once great cafe. Now just another Thai restaurant.
Super impressed by the spaciousness and minimalistic interiors of the place! I had the breakfast burger with a side of chips. It was simple but was cooked to perfection. My friends had the breakfast ramen and hot dog. Portions are very generous too! Would love to come back & try their lunch menu đ€€
Sibling Spice, Carnegie, Thai inspired cafe. New kid on the block for us die hard South-easterners!! Lovely decor - great menu( however I would love Some Asian vegetarian breakfast options), big serves (an anamoly in todayâs charge for a mansion and provide a studio cafes - I donât own a house because of the avo toasts!! đ). Well letâs talk about the avo mango kale salad- flavours on point and so much to eat that I actually had food left on my plate after I was done! Look at the colours... makes you salivate even before you dig in! Mushrooms were good too.... more veg options will be highly appreciated @siblingspice #rating4 #cafe #melbournefoodie #melbournecafe #melbournebesteats #melbournesoutheast #avosalad #foodblogger #instablogger #inspiration #healthy #melbourneblogger #lovemylife #loveexploring #igersmelbourne #sundaybrekkie #breakfastismyfavourite #foodielife #foodieforlife #vegbourne #vegetarian #vegetarianfood #vegetarianfoodie #vegetarianrocks #carnegie #koornangroad
Had the Hong Kong egg waffles and a piccolo (basically a small latte if you want little milk). The egg waffles have two scoops of taro ice-cream, three kinds of berries, their house made strawberry coulis, freeze dry raspberry soil and some sort of citrus salt.
The strong piccolo which I had requested was indeed made strong and still retains the creaminess from the milk; and more importantly the aftertaste was pleasant. The freshly made waffles were light and slightly crisp on the outside; not dense or doughy at all. Itâs mildly sweet and eggy flavour is great for pairing with the various flavours and textures the plate has to offer. Berries are sweet; slightly tart for the strawberries which provide a good contrast to the strawberry coulis which is on the sweeter end of the spectrum. Then there is the raspberry soil which is more tart than sweet and the cold and refreshing taro ice-cream which is smooth and mildly sweet. Finally there was a small pile of salt hidden under the ice-cream which was only realised after half way through the waffles. The salt was quite intense with a sweet lime-like flavour which is intended to balance out the sweetness; interesting but maybe a little too much salt.
Overall the coffee and egg waffles were tasty and satisfying; and although there was more salt on the plate than desired it was not a big issue as it wasnât all mixed in to the dish.
The sister and I enjoyed our meals here. The portions were HUGE so you wonât leave hungry. The almond mocha and latte was super creamy & smooth. I ordered the avo, kale & mango on toast with beet & a poached egg. The toast wasnât crunchy at all the avocado was bruised all the way through, also didnât taste fresh at all. I just picked the avocado out and ate the rest which tasted really nice. Sister loved the mushroom and asparagus dish. The menu has some unique dishes however I also felt like they need more variety- specifically more savoury brunch dishes (and a classic smashed avo & feta dish would be great). The interior is beautiful! Nice bright, open and modern space. The staff seemed to be flustered and disorganised even though it wasnât that busy but they were very friendly. They definitely have some teething issues but nothing they canât improve with time! Looking forward to visiting again and trying some other dishes.
Love the freshness of the mango, very light dish I will say but give you enough energy and not make you feel like 'ehhhh too full'. And most importantly good thai milk tea! Fan of milk tea like me, no complaints. :) Looking forward if there are more dishes
My go to thai place in the south east. Quick service, delicious food & value for money! Canât go wrong with sibling spice.
My fiancĂ© and Iâd favourite Thai restaurant especially for takeout. The portions are extremely generous and thoughtfully packed. Weâve ordered from here 4-5 times now and without fail everything was perfect. Absolute flavour bomb. Itâs so rare these days ordering takeout and seeing how most of the dishes we ordered came packed with fresh veggies and meat. I will absolutely continue ordering from sibling spice every time I crave good Thai food. Can see by how everything is presented and flavoured that they really care about the quality.
Absolutely delicious- first visit and was really in flavor overload for all the dishes we ate. Got there early to avoid the noise as much as possible. Fast, easy and well priced. We will return.
Great family friendly restaurant! Delicious food! Well priced! Lovely staff!
Food was really nice. Quite busy for a Wednesday. But not sure about the whole going up to the counter to order and waiting in line amongst other tables was quite covid safe. Staff were fairly friendly.
Loved it. The food was great, and in a good portion size and not unreasonably priced. The service was prompt, even in the middle of the lunch time rush.
