Review The Club - Caroline Springs

Food was okay but cakes in the display cabinet do not get. Went through 2 and decided to just get coffee... could only taste gelatine and some gross filmy grit. Had lemon tart and bolero

Lovley main meal very generous serves of chicken parmigiana & fish & chips. Cauliflower soup entree was tasteless sadly, bruschetta was delicious. Major issue was we were served our main dishes just over 1 hour after ordering. Everyone else who arrived up to 45 minutes after we did got their meals well before we did. Disappointing, upon asking about our meals we we're told their coming. Within 5 minutes we had our meals.

The one vegan option came out with egg on top. Then the manager didn’t even apologize and told us we should have told her it was to be vegan, even though the menu said vegan. She couldn’t admit she was wrong and gave us some excuse about “nut free” which made no sense! There was barely any vegetarian options either. I had the dips because that’s all that looked okay; it wasn’t! The place was dead on a Sunday night which speaks volumes.

My fiance and I had an amazing night at The Club, they were able to accomodate to the 160+ guests that we had. All of our guests loved the set up for the night as the Club are flexible on allowing us to decorate the function room. I really want to acknowledge the real MVPs that worked on our event at The Club which are MIA and LUKE who made sure that each guest were treated with the highest standard of service and was accomodating to us for the rest of the night. They made sure that Janine and I enjoyed ourselves and have all we needed and went above and beyond on serving some of our high named guests. Which is a good win in our books! We also want to thank Emily the event manager from the beginning to the end of organising the function room for our event as she made sure we have all we needed prior to the event were met. The only thing that we advise future clients is to make sure that your orders of food are to the dot of what you expect them to be. As we noticed and have been told by our family and friends that a few platters were not up to the standard of what we ordered for e.g. we ordered buffalo wings and got plain unseasoned wings I cannot confirm why this is but either than that it was a great night and great function place!

The menu is very average..and the food is average...i have been there 10 to 12 times over the year's birthdays..dinners etc i have been invited to..no by choice..it needs a massive menu change..the food is very bland...very freindly staff on a postive note

Ordering system could do with a bit of tweaking as the app crashed and we didnt get confirmation of our order. Was fixed up pretty quickly after asking though and service was very friendly. Food was delicious and kids meals generous serves. Will surely be back!

Customer service is ok, but foods are poor quality and taste. We ordered chicken parma, pumpkin soup, and seafood platter. Pumpkin was too salty, seafood not fresh, chicken parma tasteless.

Food was good but the delivery service let the club down it took over 30 minutes to come two roundabouts way and food ended up cold not happy please fix up the service delivery it puts your hard work and quality of your food down

What a night! Dinner for 2 for the price of 1 and half hourly draws for a chance to win several prizes, Wednesday nights couldn’t get any better. There are a generous array of mesls on offer - lamb shanks, steaks, calamari and lots more. They don’t skimp on all servings. There are also a variety of cakes and sweets for the sweet tooth. I would recommend anyond to give this venue a go!

A place typical of a thousand around Australia, basically a restaurant with pokies, or vice versa. Servings in general are HUGE. A bit pricey for the venue, but you will not go away hungry. Calamari was sensational; a large plate heaving with beautiful, succulent, tender Calamari, prepared and cooked to perfection. Chips were good without being outstanding, and the salad was untouched due to the fact I hate salad, but did not look terribly appealing. Others at the table described theirs as ok, but too much dressing. Porterhouse scored a pass, the parmas a little lacklustre (both 250gm and 500gm). The 500gm was exceptionally long, as opposed to being exceptionally thick. Of note when ordering at the cashier, realised that they're not exact;y cooked to order, given that there is literally a rack of them waiting to be served when required. Seafood platter for one was huge (initially thought it was for two) and was apparently excellent. Cheesy garlic bread was good (like it ever isn't?) Kids area is a good idea, unless you're not there with kids and happen to be seated near it.  All in all, good value for a big feed, but choose wisely.

Steak was good. Mash a little dry, clumpy and not very creamy.<br/>Calamari dish wash huge. Fairly good tasting calamari.<br/>Not a bad place to eat.

Un planned anniversary dinner date. Worked out perfectly well as it was 2 for 1 Wednesday night Bistro meals for members. Signed up and availed the offer.<br/><br/>Service was little slow but the food tasted above average.<br/>Seafood dish we ordered was fresh and the sweet potato mash on the bottom was a great accompaniment . Steak was slightly overcooked to my partners liking even ensuring at the counter that it would be cooked medium rare but the gravy was very flavoursome.<br/><br/>Overall a wonderful Bistro to celebrate our 1 yr Anniversary.

Food wasn't explicitly bad, just a bit overpriced. Venue could strongly improve by including a more diverse menu by including better and more options for vegetarians and vegans.

I loved this place so much I want to go everyday! You get nice customer service but also the portion sizes are amazing!!! So we had ordered one of the meat dishes and the meat ended up taking the entire plate and it also had chips and salad! Its good for what you pay for and the food is delicous!!! Recommend greatly!!!

Meals aren't bad for a pokies venue but it's pretty overpriced. I'm guessing the pensioner discounts must be pretty good with the amount of oldies packing the place out. Service was good, and a small outdoor playground is a nice addition.

It all started and ended well, the middle was disappointing, the ingredients let them down. One would expect better quality produce based on their pricing.<br/>Starting with the buffalo wings with a horseradish sauce, beautifully cooked wings and the sauce had diced horseradish pieces Yum.<br/>The middle , The chicken in the chicken Saganaki , was easily overdone as it was a rather small breast piece, the cheese great , the zucchini slice was over powered by the onion in it, so much for the flavour of a seasonal vegetable. The Charcuterie board contained cured meats  mixed cheese with toasted breads. It was disappointing. Ham, Salami both bland ,and some nice prosciutto,(this style of board could have had more meats  Pancetta, Capo Collo , Terrine even a few slices of pork cabana ) Toasted breads I imagined would be more then one type of bread,(plain , sour dough, etc ) not more then one slice of bread. 2 X COLD cheese ( not at room temp) consisting of what seemed half a small half wheel of supermarket Brie, and 8 slices of a mild cheese.( no cheese with bite, be it chilli extra tasty or blue ).  Did have Pate, olives sundried tomato and strawberry?? No cheese based fruit like pear apricot apple. or any nuts. Yes I was confused on what type of board I was presented with. Charcuterie or  mixed meat and cheese. It all ended well with their tiramisu pancakes, crispy pancakes choc ice cream and sauce and a scoop of mascarpone blended with coffee.Points are mostly for the attentive polite service the floor staff provided which I thanked on my way out.The Mens room was more like a sat night at 3am rather then a Monday at 1pm.

Plastic found in my meal!. I Was really enjoying my meal (fish of the day) until I felt something hard in my mouth. Took it out thinking it was a big fish bone only to find that it was a hard, pointy, green piece of thick plastic!!!! <br/>Told the staff who responds with: 'were you eating the fish bit or risotto at the time?" We just can't figure it out as usually it's a bit off a container the food is stored in but nothing we have out back is this colour". <br/>So clearly from that... This is a regular occurrence?? Disgraceful.<br/>What was I offered, a $20 voucher to come back next time (ummm no thanks), free dessert (again no thanks) or a refund- ummm yes its the least you can do!!! <br/>Nice looking venue but will never eat there again!!! Should have taken a photo of it! <br/><br/>Unimpressed is an understatement!

Likes it. Typical pub food, but nice place, fast service, decent food at a decent price. Will be back.

We dined here last night for my birthday dinner. Cheap cocktails and reasonably priced food. They were pretty busy and still managed to look after and service our table of 30+. We enjoyed our evening.

Seafood platter and 500 gr rump. We had been a little hesitant about eating here, as the reviews on urbanspoon weren't that great..... But we did and have been so so so happy with the food and service,... Fantastic. We will be going back for sure. Thanks guys, keep up the fabulous food. :)

You get what you pay for?. You all know the old saying "you get what you pay for" we'll in this case they should have paid us to eat there, you get a no frills review from me, the food here is well below average for an average bistro, very average!<br/>The calamari I ordered tasted like it had just been pulled out of a freezer pre made pre crumbed, it was stodgy, dry, stale rubbish that I reckon they pulled out of the ocean about 16 months ago, it really was that bad!<br/>Try mystic pizza in sunbury and you will see what great calamari tastes like!<br/>My partner had the spinach and ricotta ravioli, it was under cooked and bland and cold in the centre, seriously poor effort!<br/>The beer batter chips were ok, actually not bad at all.<br/>I won't be going back to this hole for a feed anytime soon, I'll bet Eddie McGuire wouldn't eat there?<br/>Honestly stay home save you're money and go without food before lowering your standards and eating at this place.

NOT GOOD. Was served RAW chicken. I took it back and they weren't convinced initially that it was raw until a 2nd person checked it and confirmed it was. My meal was replaced with a different meal but I was not even offered a refund for the difference in price for the 2nd meal, I had to ask for my change. My replacement meal was fish and chips, the chips were soggy with oil. I will never eat here again!

AWESOME LUNCH WITH WIFEY. I read the reviews before we went in. First timers and mate.... not our last cos it was clean and warm and nice friendly staff. Food was awesome, i had the biggest steak and mushroom sauce...... superb, loved it. My wife had the chicken buttered pumkin, she loved it, so a good good plus plus..... prices were reasonable.<br/>God Bless

Always worth a visit. We became members of the club due to the fact that they provide consistently good food and the service is great as well.<br/><br/>The steaks are always worth trying. The seafood platter is delicious as well. Although it is a meal for one, I have never managed to eat it all and it is closer to being a meal for 2. If you're into ribs and they happen to be available then you won't be disappointed. The portion size of all meals that we have ever tried has been generous.<br/><br/>The only thing we could wish for is a wider range of entree sized meals.<br/><br/>Members get a discount on their main meals and drinks and there is also a monthly offer as well.

Mostly great dishes. A big group of us ate here recently and most of the food ordered was absolutely delicious and really good portion sizes too. The best were the spinach & ricotta ravioli, and the 500g angus steak. Both simple basic sounding items but both were met wits comments such as, "This is the best steak I've had in a long time!" One of the steaks was perfectly cooked at medium level as requested and was so juicy and flavoursome that it had to be eaten to be believed. The ravioli were huge parcels which is great as most restaurants serve the tiny ones which dont pack much flavour inside.<br/><br/>Worst dish was by far the tasting plate of lamb skewers and beef kebabs. It came out on cous cous that was quite plain, and served with 3 dips that tasted atrocious. No sign of any yoghurt or tzatziki that you would normally expect with this type of dish. A big let down.<br/><br/>Considering we were a big group, most of the food came out reasonably well timed together, with only a small handful arriving about 10 minutes after the others.<br/><br/>All in all, I would recommend it and would go back for the steak and ravioli for sure!

Decent serving sizes. I became a member of the Club purely for its food, generous food, fresh flavours and good variety. The specials are updated weekly with a fish, meat and pasta dish...my only complaint is to put the ribs on the permanent menu!!
