Had an incredible meal on Friday night at Freddie's. Za'atar lamb with stuffed eggplant and yoghurt sauce, eggplant cooked in the grill was mouth watering, lamb cooked to perfection and a chickpea ratatouille! Best meal I've eaten in a long time! 👌
Beautiful coffee and amazing food - I had the Middle Eastern eggs benedict and it was to die for! My partners big brekkie looked yummy also. So glad to have found this place, there's not too many places to get a decent coffee in Carrum/Bonbeach/Chelsea �

No words can describe the effect a Freddie’s breakfast can have on a living person, well they can but who has the time for that! Sufficed to say when for breakfast with old friends and they were very pleased with the fair, the service and the ambience. Makes me very pleased to have an establishment of this quality just around the corner. A must visit for everyone
We love Freddies - lovely staff and fabulous food, but best of all great coffee! And, if you haven't tried the amazing Strawberry Bircher Muesli, you have missed something amazing. It's a regular lunch spot for me and my team.
What a beautiful hidden treasure!! Went yesterday with my daughter Lauren for coffee and brekkie...was blown away by the gorgeous eclectic cosy little cafe...which has an amazing courtyard...AND open for dinner as well as a takeaway menu!! What more could you ask for...and the staff very friendly and accommodating....Will be back!!!
My family and I have been going to Freddies for years. My daughter and son in law had their wedding there not quite 12 months ago. The food, service and ambience are always amazing. Do yourself a favour and get down to Freddies for breakfast, lunch or one of their scrumptious pizzas. Love, love Freddies.

Only discovered on the weekend but already in love with Freddie's. The Coffee is the best I have ever had! Then the service and decor is inviting, relaxing and very accomodating. The staff definitely thinks about what the customer needs and wants.

This place is constantly adapting,and changing in a good way. This place always has good food, and the staff are very thoughtful. Freddy is a hard worker and it shows, we used to live down the street, and he was always there working away. There is also a cute deli area filled with all kinds of your pantry favourites.
Went to Freddie’s for breakfast on Boxing Day for the first time since moving into the area a few weeks ago and we were very pleased with this cafe. Had the Freddie’s Big Breakfast and it was delicious. I don’t normally eat fried tomato or mushrooms but I ended up eating the lot on my plate as it was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Have come back again this morning (Saturday) for a quick brekky before the day starts.
There are 4 dining areas in this cafe, 1 at the entrance with a couple of booths, 1 off to the left of the entrance with a few smaller tables for 2 and one toward the right of the entrance which has a many tables of different variations of size with a bar. There is also dining out the front of the cafe and in the small garden out the back. Service is friendly and attentive. Overall very happy with this cafe as a local to the area.
Thoroughly enjoyed brunch x 5 people. Great service, friendly & welcoming. We ALL enjoyed our meals and presentation was outstanding. We will definately return for their dinner menu as looks amazingly good!! Ty kindly 🤗
This place is warm, inviting and very bohemian . The Staff were very friendly. The food was lovely and not to too complex like some places that are adding way too much garnishes these day !! Real tasty food !! Coffee was fab !! Great day to spend my birthday morning

I have been going to Freddie’s for the past 3.5 years since moving to Carrum. What has been noticeable is the constant enhancements / renovations / re-invention of the restaurant with the inclusion of the deli, the instalment of the bar (+ beer on tap), the outside courtyard and most importantly the menu.
First and foremost Freddie’s coffee is consistently good and top notch, for the kids the baby chinos are always a winner. There is a great range of pizza options, both classic & gourmets. Another plus is the pizza option for half & half, to have your two most favourite pizza’s in a single sitting. WINNER!
The menu has just recently been updated (re-invented) with some great new additions. So far I have had a the Pork Belly and Morton Bay Bugs. Both of these dishes were delicious and are highly recommended. The breakfast menu has also been updated and I will definitely be trying out the soft-shell crab bagel next.
Lastly, the restaurant is always immaculately clean and the service is great!
FREDDIES DEAD SET MAKE THE BEST PIZZA EVER, the mushroom gnocchi is an all time fav, good coffee, great atmosphere and sensational service!

pop in for quick Wednesday brunch , big venue and has great potential . high energy brunch in a unique place. kitchen serves delicious dishes. we loved everything food, drinks coffee, service. interesting menu. corn fritters and smash avocado were delicious , fresh and top quality. food presented so gorgeously and came out quick. probably best meal i had in melbourne. highly recommended ......
Came to Freddie’s for dinner organised by a friend. Staff were very pleasant upon entering; only part of the shop was open at night time. Decor inside is rather cool; two very different sections though with one part like a deli and the other like a bar. Such a cool outdoor area is also hiding; but unable to be used in the rain and wind. Tables in there were squished together awkwardly. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was very tasty, a bit expensive but nothing to be shocked about. Definitely a good selection of sweet treats for dessert. Really enjoyed coming here, would definitely come again; but in warmer weather!
We both had gourmet pizza tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals, generous toppings.

We go to Freddie’s several times a week for coffee and food. This is the best coffee around, and the food is lovely. Always friendly and personable service.
A great little cafe with a relaxed vibe, pleasant service and most importantly excellent coffee. We sat in the restaurant/bar area which was cosy on a chilly morning and I imagine would be a great spot for a warming ale or two on a cold night. We tried the Mexican eggs which came with chilli scrambled eggs and chorizo, and the Sautéed Greens with smoked salmon, poached egg and beetroot purée. Both were delicious, I can’t wait to try other items from the menu.
We come here pretty regularly for breakfast and coffees and it's good local hangout. Dinner is ok for the area if you're after decent portion sizes too
Ordered a beef meat pie and another mille feuille cake. Loved the beef meat pie; it was warm, crusty/flaky without the arteries clogging buttery taste. It had a good amount of pepper and spices in the filling.
The sweet pastry was good. The center part was very satisfying; vanilla filling consistency without feeling too heavy or too sweet. Tea was accompanied with the pastry and the experience was pleasant enough to reconsider getting seconds if ever.
Lovely atmosphere with seriously good food! Great coffee and attentive service. We had 3 different items off the brekkie menu and have vowed to come back to order what each other has had!

Came for brunch, was greeted by the waiter behind the counter telling us to sit anywhere and menus will be brought out. Next minute a waiter comes to offer drinks before we even received a menu, we ordered drinks and then the menus came out to which the waiter then confirmed our drink order again. A few minutes later we order food. We waited ... and waited .. then a coffee cake out. 30 seconds later the waiters back saying sorry that's not your coffee it's for another table. He seemed all over the place, not very friendly either. After another 15 minutes our food came out. Still no coffees which were ordered before he food. The place wasn't busy either with only one other table of 3. After another 10 minutes just as I was getting up to ask where the drinks were our coffees came. By this stage we were almost finished our meals. Food was okay, pancakes weren't very hot, the ice cream barely melted. My friend had the baked beans which she enjoyed but probably. It worth the $16 odd dollars you pay for it. Coffee was okay, nothing special and wasn't very hot I did drink it all within two minutes. I'd go back but not in a hurry with slow service like that.

A good and hot meal for the middle of winter. Service staff were very friendly. I will definitely be coming back in the near future and would recommend to anyone looking for a meal in the area.

I loved this cafe! Something about the interior was so homely. Ordered a coffee and was amazed at how good the coffee was. Then the menu was so exciting. Great menu with heaps of great dishes to choose from. All well thought at dishes with great flavours.
Freddy opens nice and early for high quality coffee with personal attention to every cup... and it shows!
Welcoming, comfortable atmosphere and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Visited Freddie's today for brunch! Loved the setting and the food was great!
Unfortunately, although all the staff were lovely, the service was poor. We were having to flag the staff down to get their attention to order coffees. We were left without water, salt, pepper or sugar on the table and had to ask for these items.
Once again, we had to flag them down to order our food and check where the coffees were, 20 minutes later as they still had not arrived.
We had a lovely waitress but wanted to tell her to speak up as she was so quiet.
I did really enjoy this place, the food was great and staff were lovely but just not always on the ball with service.

My friend and I were looking for a place to eat breakfast and we stumbled on this little gem. Very reasonably priced menu and The Manhattan with salmon was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked eggs, amazing hollandaise, and crust bread. The hash browns we're golden. Whilst we had a minor mix up with my friend's order, the waiter was very efficient in resolving the problem and we left with big smiles.
Will certainly be back here. Great stuff!
We happened upon Freddie's after a Saturday family bike ride and were tempted in by the great atmosphere and decor. The servers were friendly and prompt. My quesadilla was delicious as were beef burger and berry pancakes. Kids bolognaise a bit watery and bland. Coffee disappointing as cold and smaller than expected for a mug. On the whole a pleasant stop, recommended for the food.

Firstly the food is just Devine as well as their freshly made coffee, the staff are friendly and warm welcoming to make you feel at home. It's just a beautiful cafe for all times of the year. They have a wonderful outdoor area which is amazing for the summer and an indoor area for the cold winter nights! Honestly one of my favourite cafes and it's so close to the beach what's not to love !
What great place! Just a really good place to grab a Pizza. Second time I had been and the owner remembered me which was a sign of good customer service. Kids were also welcomed and look big forward to making this place a regular.
