We've ordered food from apera a few times now and were impressed every single time. The flavours the chefs are able to put into and coax out of even seemingly simple dishes (e.g. white bean in puree) are amazing. We are trying our way through their changing menu and recommend you do the same.

Food was okay although pasta undercooked and hard. Service was terrible, new staff with very little experience and extremely hard to communicate. Rubbish was carried through the restaurant by the chef mid service whilst the manager popped outside for a beer halfway through the night. Ambience lackin

Absolutely delicious food! We had the wood fired trout with sea greens, heirloom tomatoes with smoked ricotta and a superb eggplant dish. Really yummy, unusual dishes with a fresh produce slant, served in a comfortable environment.

We’ve eaten at apera twice. It’s a good local neighbourhood eatery in Castlecrag. The food is delicious, cooked in either the wood fired oven or the rotisserie in the open kitchen. The number of dishes on the menu is small and does seem to change regularly. We enjoyed the lamb shoulder and the roast

A local gem. The service - fantastic. The waitress was so polite, helpful and attentive - such a delight. The food was also amazing. For 4 people, we ordered the cauliflower and white bait for entrees, porchetta, rainbow trout, pipis and slaw for mains, and the apple pie and pannacotta for dessert,

Beautifully tucked in castlecrag, this place rocks freshness and clean eating. The staff are friendly and the food is just super yummy. The only thing was that we overordered and we would have appreciated a gentle nudge to tell us that we ordered way too much. No biggie, however.

Have visited around 5 times over the years and have thoroughly enjoyed apera's offering. As the menu changes seasonally, you are ensured a great variety of dishes. Food was delicious. We are so impressed with the lamb as it was so tender and melted in our mouth. Service was really good too. Highly recommended!
