A group of five of us had dinner at Arda, and were very impressed with the food and service. We ordered two pizzas - kiymali and Mumās special, Turkish soup, lamb cutlets, two mixed grill and the quails dish. Ended up taking away two boxes of food as we ordered too much for five! Every dish was delicious and flavoursome! Waiters were very attentive although the restaurant was busy and fully booked. We will continue to frequent Arda as the food and service is reliable.

Had the mixed grill plate delivered and it was delish - the lamb cutlets were definitely the standout. Garden salad is refreshing and good contrast to the meats and the rice was just a filler. This has probably become my local Turkish go to.

Hard to get good quality Turkish in Melbourne and Arda is definitely quality. Iskender, Lentil Soup and Lamachaun the picks of the menu that I have experienced. Dessert is home made and a delight.

You canāt go wrong with Turkish food & these guys do it right. Beautifully presented, fresh & traditional flavours this place left me a happy little vineleaf! The dips & iskenda kebab were delish! Service was fantastic also. My only negative would be the portion size - for the price of the banquet the portions could have been at quite a bit larger, especially with simple parts of the meal like rice, salad, bread etc. Other than that, great spot for a Turkish meal!

We had a good time there, the food is really really good. Service is very nice. The place is not big but you can book a table ahead. We had a really nice variety of food and ate 3 courses. Will definitely go again.

Wow! I was craving a Turkish pizza with ground lamb and Arda really delivered. The flavours were fantastic and certainly worth the drive. We also ordered chicken shish and a couple of salads. Everything was delicious and I can see why this place is so popular.
This would now have to be one of the most authentic Turkish restaurants I have been to. We eat this food at home a lot but I have never had Turkish at a restaurant that is as close to home cooking as the real thing.
Food here are always amazing. We have been visiting this restaurant for years as they serve very delicious meat and provide efficient service. The mixed grill is always my favourite even though I'm not a big fan of lamb. They know how to play with their spices and the meats are always juicy and tender. Came here for a friend birthday. We went with the banquet for our group. Meat was tender, dips were tasty but my favourite were the spicy chilli tomato dish ( forget what it is called) and flavoursome rice. Not substantial food if you were very hungry like some of my friends but decent amount. Because we brought our birthday cake, the owner kindly removed sweets from the menu and deduct a few bucks per head for us. Genuine and friendly service from the owner and staff.

The dips platter comprised of tzatziki, hummus, capsicum, and spinach Is served with warm lavash bread. The bread was soft and freshly baked which was a big plus for a chilly winter evening.
The lamb shish was melt in your mouth yummy. The iskender was served with a tangy tomato sauce and yogurt dressing and each dish was a 10/10 for me.

Arda is ideal for meeting with friends. It is very accessible by bus, tram or car but secluded from the busy road. Menu choice is broad; licensed or BYO. Very clean place with simple decor, attentive service and beautifully presented dishes.

In love. Our group of 8 order the set menu and was surprised by the amazing food we received. Having a taste of everything gave us a real chance to try something new. We now order take away from this place regularly and are never disappointed. The flavours are always on point and the meat is cooked to perfection.
Ambiance - fairly quiet with peaceful music. Great smell of charred smokiness coming from the kitchen consistently throughout the night... Love it :)

Izskender kebab. Wow great combo of tomato, salt, lamb, yoghurt. Amazing. Croutons within the Izskender - I thought they might come out crunchy but were relatively soft. A shame but not surprising given the moisture in the dish. Overall extremely enjoyable. The croutons also fill you up so a great dish when you're hungry like I was :)
Baklava - nice and nutty. Sweetness well balanced.
Pricing - if I got the quail like my wife, I'd probably need more food, but given the options to choose more filling meals, pricing not too bad. $20 per main so ordering 3 courses is a bit expensive. But the quality is worth the extra expense if you have the budget.

Ā I have been coming to Ardaās for a few years now and I have never been disappointed. Itās located on Glenhuntly road in Caulfield, just across from Kittens. I thought Iād do some research for this piece and hereās what I found; according to Google translate Arda means increased in Turkish and Arda is Atletico Madridās Turkish midfielder. So there you go, failed direct translation in action and some boring soccer fact. I can never go past the set banquet menu, which is suitable for a group of people or first timers. For an entree you get beautiful fresh Turkish bread with humus, eggplant, cucumber and spinach dips which are to die for; better than any crap that you get at Coles or Woolworths. Shortly after the side dishes arrive which areĀ vine leaves, baked eggplant and red kidney beans. The vine leaves are freshly made, the eggplant is served with a tomatoes sauce similar to whatās in the small bowl of beans, which can be likened to fancy baked beans that donāt make you fart. All served cold but yummy and refreshing. Just when youāre starting to feel full a garden salad and the Ä°skender kebap is stunningly presented in a clay-pot. For those of you not familiar Ä°skender kebap consists of shaved lamb dƶner kebab meat covered in tomato sauce, yogurt and often sheep butter and paired best with some pilav rice. Next is the kofte, which looks like poo*, and the lamb and chicken shish which are tender and juicy. By this stage you are stuffed, but you need to make room for the Turkish delight and baklava, although the thought of it is like a scene from Monty Python. The baklava is lovely and soft and crunchy, dripping and syrup. The Turkish delight is covered in icing sugar and just enough to top off this fantastic set menu. The wait staff at Arda are very friendly and accommodating, recommending Turkish beer to wash down your meal and checking in every so often. Sensational everything! There is nothing I can truly fault about our Arda experience. Our last visit was a bustling night in the restaurant but the atmosphere was lovely, the lights dim, candles burning and the staff so friendly and talkative. The food is always so tasty and freshly made! We have been dining here for at least a year now, and they have always been attentive to our dietary requirements, presenting us with vegetarian and gluten free alternatives. As a vegetarian, there is little to miss out on with a colourful plate of various specially prepared vegetables bursting full of flavour! The pizzas were perfect, and you can taste that authentic stone oven flavour, also offering a nice variety for the meat lover as well as the vegetarian! The meat is always fresh, tender and so juicy!!! And when you have just about had your fill, the desserts are a real treat. They are not so large that you cannot finish but just the perfect portion size to top off an amazing meal!

Fantastic food (I confess a weakness for their Iskender kebab), and friendly service. Downstairs is a bit smokey, but the second floor is very pleasant to dine in.

Absolutely amazing Turkish food. Came here with my parents who are stringent on quality Turkish food. They were blown away. The quality was as beautiful and flavoursome as any home made authentic Turkish cuisine. There is love out into this food trust me. The spices are flawless and the meat just melts in your mouth especially the lamb. It is truly an unforgettable experience. The service was also flawless very attentive without going over the top always a smile on the waitress's face. Upstairs is a bit more classy suited for formal functions and/or dates whereas downstairs is your usual take/out quick kebab out stop kinda dining area.
Overall this place deserves my vote of confidence and the owner Mr Serkan is an extremely nice and welcoming gentleman!

Great authentic food. Food was delicious, service friendly and quick. We ordered several dishes, everything moreish but the grilled haloumi, lamb cutlets and zucchini fritters stood out, cutlets were perfectly cooked. Left very satisfied and will return again.

Delicious Turkish Food!. I came here last night with my partner and we had an amazing dinner. I am a big fan of middle eastern and Turkish food and this definitely didn't disappoint.
We had the lamb pizza, which was a pocket filled with minced lamb and spices and was absolutely delicious. The next was the sujuk pepperoni pizza which I never read had egg on it.... looked like cheese until a big bite... and realised it was scrambled egg, My partner loved it though and it was a really different way to have a pizza.
Then we had the single meat platter which had a delicious and tender chicken skewer, a lamb skewer, lamb sausage, cutlet and then some tasty doner kebab meat. it was seriously lovely fresh meat and the manager/owner also gave us some dips to have with it (tzatziki, hummus and eggplant) which went so wel with the dish.
I had a Riesling and my partner a Turkish beer which he had never had before and said it was one of the better ones he had had...overall it was a fabulous night of Turkish food with amazing service. We were treated so well by all the staff and we also had a pram which was easily accommodated.
We are definitely coming back!
The Iskender Kebab is beautiful; the meat is very tender and the sauce is lovely. The traditional apple tea is also really nice.

Modest but great Turkish food. The haloumi was terrific (tasted better than most Greek versions I've tried). My wife and I had the mixed grill and all the meats were cooked perfectly and were the tastiest and juiciest meats we had ever tasted. We will come again!
Great food. Simple and delicious food. The warm home made Turkish bread was moreish, the Iskender kebab - amazing and the Turkish delight - perfect. Service was good. Wish they were closer to home - I could eat their Iskender and Turkish delight on a regular basis.

This restaurant is fantastic. Authentic style Turkish food. The eskender is unbelievable and the dips with fresh bread and Turkish pizzas are fantastic. I've been before and can't wait to go back as a mid week restaurant. Wish it was a bit closer to home!

Being a longterm customer of Arda I feel obliged to correct some discrepancies with your review.
The dips you say taste like they're from the 'supermarket', I know for a fact are all made by hand in the restaurant. You also state the food taste like it comes from 'tins', which to me is rather odd considering I and flocks of other customers have been coming to this restaurant for the past eight years, finding nothing but consistently great, clean and quality food.
Istanbul (Not Constantinople). Operating out of the current location since 2004, Arda has gained plenty of loyal followers. It's a compact dining space, which ensures it's never difficult to attract the attention of waiting staff.
The menu comprises the usual dips & bread, a selection of small plates, Turkish gourmet pizzas and a range of grills with a focus on chicken and lamb. There are some vegetarian options available; however the menu does sway towards meat lovers.
I've always found the various grilled elements well cooked and nicely seasoned, and when plated up with their signature simple salad and pilav rice you've got yourself a tasty, healthy plate of food.
Whilst the main dishes aren't enormous, they're ample enough, particularly if you start proceedings with a few dips or small plates and a basket of home baked Turkish bread.
Banquet was great sample of food available; ishkender was fantastic, and service good too.

This seems like a family business, the service is nicely timed and warm. The food is great too - we shared a doner kebab which cones with rice and salad and would make a generous meal for one. Post Xmas we would have struggled. However we had room for baklava and Turkish coffee. The Ayran was delish too. We'll have to go back and try a few more dishes - the menu is quite large considering the smallish shopfront.

Arda Restaurant was a gem š we found in Caulfield when we were looking for a place to celebrate my birthday š with my bfās family.
We all shared the Mixed Dips (Hummus, Eggplant, Tzatziki and Spinach) and Turkish Bread as starters (not pictured cause we all ate them really quickly š).
Then, my bf and I shared the Mixed Grilled platter which comes with Lamb & Chicken Shish, Lamb cutlet, doner kebab, and kofte. As well as the Grilled Quails! Both mains came with pilav rice & salad.
Everything was so delicious & flavorful. We really enjoyed each item that we got and just wishing that we live close by so we can get deliveries as often as we want to haha!
There were more things we wanted to try from the menu like the turkish pizza, the entrees, the dessert š Weāre definitely going to return the next time weāre in the area!

I had a positive experience and recommend this restaurant. The quality of food and service were really good, everything was clean, including the bathrooms, there was a good variety on the menu and food was brought out quickly. Portions were about average size, we had to get a few starters and mains to ensure we were not hungry. The deserts were excellent. The price was on the expensive side, bordering on the fine dining experience, which it's not, as it is a more casual place, but with fantastic service. The dips platter was quite small and Turkish pizzas were a bit expensive compared to their size. If you are hoping for a cheap meal, this is not the place. Feedback to the owner - fantastic service and food, but may want to review some prices to correspond to the portion size or the other way around, increase the portion sizes, that would definitely make me want to come back on a more regular basis. Delicious food, reasonably priced and a beautiful spot in general, with a general sense of friendliness in the air. Can tell people travel pretty far to reach this place, newcomers and regulars alike. The only thing I could criticise is the waitress who basically ignored my existence and served the people who came after me. Not sure if it was my appearance but certainly made me think about it for a moment. Guess you could say that it inspired this review, as it doesn't seem like a standard this establishment wishes to practise.
