A classic Lebanese in the area. Been coming to this spot since I've arrived to Melbourne, and have always been a return customer (not as much as I wish, but at least every now and then). VERY good value for me! If you ask me.. this restaurants pricing for Melbourne standards is one of my personal best. Very honest, very generous portions for such minimal prices. The way its really done in the Middle East. It proves you can eat a quantity quality food for less in this city (: - thanks for the continuous great and generous food guys! --- ask them for the garlic dip for your meats! or even potatoes ;) Batata harra.. one of my absolute favorites.
Great place and lovely food. They have a good vegetarian spread as well. Very good service and yes, the dance was nice too. The table setting and the ambience is good.
Very good Lebanese cuisine,
The food and service is good but I particularly enjoyed the banquet. It was perfect for my large group, offering variety and excellent portions. Whilst i prefer the Lebanese cuisine establishments on Sydney Road, this is still good and definitely worth a visit.
Amazing value and service and authentic food!
Dated interior but that’s my only negative. Had the seafood banquet and was struggling to get through it all.
Party of 10- some quite fussy- one vegetarian but they catered for all and everyone was very satisfied!!!!
Very authentic, homemade authentic food. We had the mezza banquet for 2 and all the food was great. The babaganoush was a standout. Nice ambience, staff were friendly, but the food was the real highlight (as it should be).
For authentic Lebanese food, definitely recommend Almazett.
Tasy dishes with great customer service.
The whole grilled snapper had the delicious char grilled flavour. The tahini sauce complimented the flavours very well.
The kibbi bi lahem were crispy and flavoursome.
Tabbouleh was also very nice, herbs used were fresh.
Had our office Xmas party of ~20 and it was a flawless experience. Great ubiquitous food that just kept on coming. Every course was well received, timed well and extremely tasty right through to the desserts and coffee. Place was buzzing with energy. Banquet was terrific value.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, family friendly... some strong seasoning in some dishes however I am sure thats just my palate. Will certainly become a regular local favourite.
By far the best Lebanese food I've eaten in ages! Awesome service and cosy decor. I brought my family here last weekend and we all ordered the banquet which was non stop tasty food. The belly dancer was heaps of fun and we all had a wonderful night. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcomed. 5 stars all the way!
We first ate at Almazett in the 70's - a regular Friday night treat - always fabulous food, service and entertainment any time we visited.
Returned last week after several years away - delighted to find the same level of hospitality & delicious food - like a warm hug from an old friend!
