First time eating at this cafe, we started off with some coffees as we settled in and read the menu. After ordering the delicious smashed avo and fritters we couldn't go passed desert. If anyone heads down to this cafe you MUST order the Panna Cotta, it was to die for. Worth the 45 minute drive to get there ;) We will def be back.
Only two days after opening, the place was packed but the staff were helpful and friendly. All of our food was great and the eggplant dish was to die for.
Welcome to the neighbourhood Cafe T!
Yummm food!!! must try if you want a great meal! Friendly staff too!!
Great place for Chai good food great staff handy location
The breakfast here is amazing! It is good to see some different flavours coming out of the cafe scene as most places are exactly the same. Well done guys.
Great food, different from your standard menu but vastly exceeding a cafe standard in quality and taste. Super coffee and excellent service. Inside/outside and warm welcoming ambience.
My coffee shop stop every morning Food is amazing Love the hamburgers and avocado smash
Great range of different drinks and flavours.
Absolutely delicious food and incredible customer service, will definitely be back
I ordered a mocha at the botanical garden cafe and they made me a latte cause it was closing time!!!Can you make up to me for their mistake Yariv?? Need to come back for your yummy foods soon

Beaitiful decoration, friendly staff and amazing fresh food for a very reasonable price. I loved it! I went alone and will come back with my friends and family !!!
Always happy walking in here to get a great hit of caffeine. Helps the food is amazing too!
Dear family and friends
A dream come true!!
Great coffee, amazing food, beautiful place!!!
Thank you so much for the excellent service.
A cafe with an Israeli twist. Super friendly service at this quaint cafe with a brunch menu with a difference.
Ordered was an israbella and the pancakes.
Both were tasty. I definitely preferred the israbella as it seemed more of an authentic Israeli dish however, the pancakes for me were nice but just lacking that presentation.
I think the cafe has a family feel to it, the staff are lovely and it has a nice vibe. But the food needs to be elevated ever so slightly for me. There is biggg competition in Melbourne and I’m not saying this food wasn’t nice but for me it just wasn’t hitting the spot.
Like I say I LOVE the Israeli twist and I kinda wish they added an Israeli twist to the pancakes because you me it seemed like they lacked that background where as the israbella had an authentic flavour to it.
A delightful cafe, tasty food but just something missing Slightly.
I would definitely go back
A daytime bistro situated on the rural side of Caulfield South, Turquoise Eatery offers local people an alternate interpretation of breakfast and lunch that doesn't hold back on flavor or inventiveness. The inside of Turquoise Eatery is consolingly fascinating, radiating rural vibes through their confounded stylistic theme, copying a desert island feel… with some truly tasty nourishment.
We love the middle eastern, constantly renovated menu at Turquoise. The quirky decor inside makes it an interesting and fun place to brunch. Their Panna Cotta is always stunning - we’ve tried at least two seasons of this and loved both of them, their porridge last year was one of our faves in all of Melbourne. On our last visit I had just a basic eggs and bacon on toast - which was delicious - chunky bacon and a nice flavour through the eggs.
Cute place with a unique and artistic menu. The zucchini fritters were nicely cooked and eggs in tomato sauce were yummy! Good quantity as compared to other brekky places.
Caulfield's favourite cafe! A staple for all the locals in the area, Turquoise is always buzzing with people who love good coffee and quality food. Hard to say what I like here the most but last time I visited I tried their cassata and absolutely fell in love with it! Melbourne. food approves!
I had the most amazing brunch here!
The venue is modern and very bright. The staff was extremely nice and attentive.
We've ordered a smoothie bowl, the casatta, eggplant and feta shakshuka and a mango smoothie.
Every dish was freshly made and presented so beautifully. Besides the look, it tasted really good as well! Especially the shakshuka which I have never tried before really surprised me.
I will definitely come back here for another brunch time with my friends!
A marvellous stack that won't break your diet! 🍋
@turquoiseeatery
Today's adventures were to the gorgeous Turquoise Cafe! Greeted by the lovely Eliza I knew this was going to be an enjoyable experience!
Check out these DELICIOUS PANCAKES 🥞Yogurt pancakes come with cinnamon apples, cranberry crumble and marshmallow lemon cream! #YUM!
These were absolutely delicious and couldn't leave any left behind on the plate!
Really good place to grab a brunch. Their shakshuka seems to be a signature dish. I ordered the eggs benny which also tasted really delicious! All in all, great food and fantastic service!
A great hard-working spot in Caulfield!
Definitely, have the Granola Bowl, it's big and the styling is phenomenal, something to put on your Instagram story!
Another cafe that served great Mediterranean/ Israeli food located in Caulfield South.
We ordered the Casatta (which is like lime orange blossom pistachio coconut ice cream between two kadaif cookies with ruby chocolate sauce), Chicken sangga with the side of sweet potato fries & aioli and Turquoise Israeli salad.
That dessert is plated beautifully. But the Chicken sangga and the sweet potato fries stole the show for me. It’s kinda remind me of Banh Mi, with the freshness from the coleslaw, juicy meat and the crusty bread, you gotta try it!
It’s a chill quiet little area with plenty of parking spaces nearby.
We ordered the matcha latte, chicken sangga with sweet potato chips with herb aioli, Cassata, turqouise isreali salad. Overall experience, food was pretty good with a nice Mediterranean hit.
TURQUISE EATERY
I visited Turquoise Eatery a few weeks ago, great little cafe.
It has a Middle Eastern inspired menu and being someone who is also from the Middle East I can confidently say the flavours are authentic and strong in their dishes :)
FOOD:
MANGO PASSIONFRUIT SMOOTHIE - Such a great summer smoothie! Tasted super fresh and I loved the fruits used in this drink
ACAI SMOOTHIE - Still tasty and refreshing! However, I think because the Mango smoothie was SOOO good that this in comparison would be a second choice!
ZUCCHINI & CAULIFLOWER FRITTERS - Great presentation! Order this if you’re not someone who eats a crazy amount for brunch, as it is a healthier option that isn’t too heavy. Try the Shakshuka if you want something more filling!
I liked this dish, but just wish it was a bit more crispy on the outer and that it wasn’t so flat. It was still tasty none the less
THE OG WAGYU BEEF BURGER
Don’t expect a huge fancy dish, this is a simple burger that delivers exactly what's on the menu. It’s not too big or too small, it is tasty and fills you up. However I did find the presentation strange with the lettuce and tomatoes served on the side.
MAHLABI
We actually ordered this by accident, we asked for the panna cotta but there was some miscommunication and we received this cute dish (we were not upset nor did we point it out to the waitress).Very middle eastern flavours, I personally did not love it. But if you like pistachios and rose syrup then this would be a nice ending treat to your meal.
OVERALL
Overall I would give this cafe another chance if you’re in the area! I would go back if given the chance, as I think I did not try enough dishes to fully judge the cafe! The space is nice both indoors and a small outdoor area, with lots of dogs visiting… which is always a plus in my book!!
When you rock up to an amazing brunch place like Turquoise Eatery and see that it's packed at 11am on a thursday - you know it's gonna be good! They're serving up a incredible Israeli-Mediterranean fusion and you'd be a fool to miss out on the cassata - something you're unlikely to find at another Melbourne brunch venue. Lime, orange blossom, pistachio and coconut ice cream between two kadaif cookies, vanilla marshmallow cream, berries and topped off with ruby chocolate sauce. YUM! 🤤🤤🤤
Had the pleasure of being invited to come and enjoy breakfast at Turquoise on the weekend. And I can tell you, it was worth the drive from the Northern suburbs!
Coffee was delicious- it came out promptly and didn't taste bitter. My friend and I shared 3 dishes: the We Don't Smash Avocado, the Ploughman's Breaky Bowl and the Granola. Wow. We loved them all!
The creamed feta on the avocado dish was sensational. The avocado serving was generous and it was just such a nice change to have regular avocado instead of a smash! The granola was soo nice - full of crunch and fresh fruit, and the most delicious banana smoothie underneath. One of the best granola bowls I've had. And the Ploughman's Breaky Bowl was probably my favourite. The falafels were absolutely delicious, I couldn't get enough. Such a clever and creative dish, I've never had a breakfast dish like it.
Staff were attentive and friendly, and service was prompt. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, we will definitely be back!
Some family friends of ours recommended Turquoise and we couldn't have been hapier to visit last weekend. The menu isn't your standard, boring options, but has lots of european-inspired twists on the classics.
The Benedict was served on a thick slice of eggplant, which we thought was delicious and the hollandaise sauce was really flavoursome. The lattes were great too.
Lot's of people on a weekend but the service was lovely and food came reasonably fast too. Looks like this is a popular choice for the locals and we can see why! Will definitely be back!
There's Eggs Benedict, and then there's No Ordinary Benedict.
This was definitely an experience to remember. Turquoise is the brainchild of Yariv Alfie, who pays tribute to his Jewish heritage at this Hawthorn Road café. the Turquoise theme is a reflection of his love for the Mediterranean, and there's a fresh feel to the space.
Head Chef Gror barnea has created a distinctive menu, that's unlike any other in the area. The use of herb and spices, and traditional cooking methods add to the incredible flavour infused dishes.
This dish, which clearly is not your ordinary eggs Benedict, is made with slow cooked beef ribs on medallions of grilled eggplant, with a 6 hour sugo, and a creamed feta and turmeric hollandaise. Sprinkled with Dukkha, this dish is definitely one for the travelled foodie.
Coffee by Inglewood.
Decided to check out this highly rated cafe. Dropped in for brunch at midweek & they are almost full house. Coffee was ok. We enjoyed the no ordinary benny & the eggplant feta shakshuka. The eggplant was something special!
This black halva waffle is quite special. I like the flavour because I love black sesame. A modern Israeli dish. The waffle is not the best to be honest but everything else is great. Doesn’t really taste like marshmallow but it’s all good. Coffee is great!!
Nice food and friendly staff! But would not be a good idea to sit inside if you wanna talk with friends coz it's a bit noisy especially the busy hours when all seats are occupied. We both went for the No ordinary benedict which turned out to be a great idea, really like the slow cooked pulled beef, juicy n tender, and the souce absorbed so well! love the grilled eggplants, anyone who wanna order this, don't forget to add an extra toast on the side! FYI they also provides several daily special, check them out before you order, you may hv some surprise!
An exciting cafe with a well executed menu. No wonder it draws such a great amount of people into the cafe. Luckily for us, there was 1 last table waiting for us when we arrived.
We ordered the Breakky bowl, which consisted of flatbread, salad, falafels, eggplant and some sliced boiled egg- all of which was worth every cent. Along with the tahini and eggplant, the falafels really highlighted the earthy tones of the dish. Not to mention, they tasted phenomenal as they crumbled in my mouth. Definitely make sure to get a bit of every ingredient in one bite, as it really brings all the flavours together, and makes for a wholesome and filling breakky.
You can’t really go wrong with Fritters, and Turquoise Eatery’s Zucchini & Cauliflower version of them were quite delicious! Served with a poached egg, and a spread of vibrant pink beetroot labneh, this complimented the Fritters nicely. Also the side of greens were massive! A healthy and even better, a pleasant tasting dish. On top of our mains, we also ordered a side of sweet potato chips which came with some herb aioli dipping sauce- chips cooked well and very delicious.
Flavour party! The eggs benny is amazing! The staff are very friendly as well. We will definitely be going again and again and again. See you soon! :)
Lovely place with loads of chatter going on. Not big on ambience but the dishes floor you. We had black halva stack waffles which was heavenly. Shakshuka was a yummy surprise and the zucchini fritters were simply amazing. I’d love to be back and try out more stuff. 😍
What we ate: husband had the Shakshuka while I pigged out on the Waffles and the cocoa berry smoothie.
What we loved: those waffles! Just the perfect amount of sweetness balanced with that amazing smoky sweet cream and halva. Best waffles ever. Period.
The others:
the shakshuka.. started out great but was a little too tomatoey and weirdly metallic tasting after a few bites. But that pita bread that came with it was super soft and super tasty. And that sausage - yum. Just the presentation was a little ermm weird - or is it just me!
The smoothie: very filling with the right bits of chocolate coming with each sip.
What we will go back for: those waffles yes. And on our Wishlist for the next trip includes the ploughmans breaky and the zucchini fritters (labneh for the win!)
I recently visited Turquoise Eatery for the second time and had high expectations as my first visit was so good.
I can confirm that the food, coffee, and service were all on point, and that is the reason for my full 5-star rating.
Food:
M.E. Ploughman’s Breaky Bowl:
I could not recommend this highly enough. I loved it and will go back just for this. It’s a great vegetarians option however, still had plenty of variety and flavour. The mix of falafel, egg, eggplant and various other ingredients make for a very good dish. The good thing for me is that it wasn’t overly filling, and I could still polish off the black halva waffles!
Black Halva Waffle Stack: These were soo good! It had the perfect mix of not too sweet or savoury tasting. The creams that accompanied the waffles gave that perfect sweet taste as well as the berries on top. I would highly recommend ordering as a share dish but can be done on your own.
The OG Wagyu Beef Burger:
I didn’t personally eat this, however, being a burger fan, I had to have at least one bite. It was yum! The important flavours were all there, and the person with me loved it, and polished the rest of it off.
Service: When we arrived, we were greeted with a big smile from one of the waitresses who couldn’t be more attentive if she tried and happy to help with potential options on what to order. Service is a make or break for me, regardless of how good the food is, this is why I had to give 5/5
Thanks guys!
One of our favourite Middle Eastern inspired cafes, Turquoise Eatery, just released their new winter menu dishes, so we headed back to check them out...
Great cafe, lively atmosphere with attentive and cheerful staff. Great coffee and muffins. Very popular for breakfast on a Saturday and Sunday morning when I usually visit. You can sit inside or outside.
Turquoise Eatery is situated at 451 Hawthorn Rd in South Caulfield – near Princes Park and is open 7 days a week. They specialise in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspired dishes with a hint of modern Melbourne flavours all done with clever combinations and culinary techniques. Talking about clever – I loved their dig at smashed avocado with their dish called “we don’t smash Avocado” and noting the avocado is carefully sliced and fanned out over 8-grain toast! Funny. The restaurant consists of a pleasant outdoor seating area with heaters and an intimate indoor eating area with pops of turquoise colour everywhere.
.
We were encouraged to try the new dishes that were on the latest menu. We had the Ploughman’s Breaky Bowl, the Zucchini and Cauliflower Fritters, Sweet Potato Chips with a Turmeric Latté and a Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice.
The photos say it all…
The Ploughman’s Breaky Bowl was exquisite, presented very elegantly with lightly toasted pita and perfectly spiced, flavoursome and crispy falafel. The Israeli salad of cucumber and tomato was fresh, vibrant and refreshing and it was a generous serve. The Sweet Potato Chips were crunchy and hot – we couldn’t get enough of the Harissa Aioli sauce – really delicious! Our favourite dish was the Zucchini and Cauliflower Fritters. They were unbelievable! Accompanied with a perfectly cooked poached egg, beetroot hummus and salad, the dish was faultless and highlighted the passion of a chef who takes pride in creating restaurant standard dishes in a café setting. The coffee was just right and the orange juice was refreshing.
Overall, my experience at Turquoise Eatery was most pleasing in every way and is definitely one of my top recommendations!
For good food, big portions and chilled vibes this is the place to visit! Turquoise had a great variety of options, had quick service and the food tasted magnificent! The cafe is cute, and the staff are very friendly which makes the experience great. I had Shakshukah which I would highly reccomend!!!
Definitely a Gem....or is it?.....From Decor, Artwork, Coffee, to Dishes and Presentation. What more could you ask for? Their dishes are definitely unique. At this stage, I havent seen any flaws. Hope to come again!

The food was so tasty, and very well presented ! The whole cafe had a very “boho” vibe - and we loved it !
The staff were so caring and always very on top of what we needed !
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back, and highly recommend to anyone that hasn’t been there yet !
Not much needs to be said about this place, the food combined with some of the best service in Melbourne just truly blows your mind. I've eaten here on more than one occasion and all I can say is that this place is simply outstanding. It's a little gem that I'd definitely recommend others to visit.
A bloggers life is always full of food adventures! This week we set off to Caulfield to try our Turquoise eatery. Overall we had a pleasant experience in this beautiful little busy cafe.

Torquoise Eatery, Caulfield is truly amazing! 😍😍
Location- Great! Even though Torquoise Eatery is located amidst a busy street, it is easy to locate and easy to get to.
Service- Amazing service. The food was served very quickly and the staff very proactive and lovely :)
Food- Super interesting concept! Mediterranean food fusion was very interesting! Flat bread, eggs, salad, falafel and a lot of goodness. Would definitely recommend.
My favourite thing on the table was the smoothie bowl. So fresh, so delicious and so great!
In all, it was my first trip at Torquoise but definitely not my last 😍
Delicious food and coffee on both visits to this cafe. The benedict was amazing and the beef so tender. On trend was the breakfast bowl packed with so much flavour. I have one word for the donuts...YUM! The service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend trying this cafe.
After much disgruntlement driving around on NYD trying to find a feast; we stumbled across the Turquoise Eatery! It was pumping and the staff were incredibly friendly considering how busy it was! I ordered the usual avo on toast (which is what I think a day spent hungover requires) and was it amazing! Creamed feta, tomato salsa on top and super generous servings of everything else! The sweet potato chips were an added bonus and definitely topped off an already fantastic meal! Coffee came out fast and soy was not curdled 😍 (won my heart over)! Definitely have a fan here and I will definitely be back! :)
I was lucky enough to be invited to try the new menu at Turquoise Eatery as part of the Melbourne Foodie Hub. Firstly the mango smoothie was absolutely delicious, so refreshing and perfect for an energy boost! Next the shakshuka, the baked eggs with eggplant and tomato. What a dish this is! It comes with toasted Turkish bread and has so much flavour and is so hearty it’s the perfect brunch. We also tried the Cauliflower Power Salad which was the perfect salad if you ask me. The Cauliflower is done two different ways, roasted and pickled. Plus it’s packed with kale and rocket and seeds and currents and fresh pomegranate. Big servings too which always makes me happy. I recommend 👍🏻
I was invited to dine at Turquoise Eatery as part of my recent joining of the Melbourne Foodie Hub and I was delighted by this as had seen some amazing looking posts on Instagram in recent time. I arrived at 11am and the place was humming along nicely.
Turquoise was the colour of signage, tiles and menus of this elclectic cafe with its odd chairs and mismatched light fittings and an impressive coffee mug collection.
I perused the menu for a moment and ordered the berry, coconut, cocoa & honey smoothie while I tried to
make up my mind what to order... it was all so yummy. I’ve seldom experienced the indecisiveness with ordering before but the menu read so well that I was worried about experiencing FOMO. After much internal termoil between my cravings for sweet and the lure of the Pink Panna Cotta or savoury and the solid reputation of the Lamb Kebab I eventually gave in to my savoury calling.
The Lamb came out looking much prettier than I had anticipated. Lovely colour from pomegranates, mint, and tomatos while tartiness of the tzatziki contrasted perfectly with spiced sweet pumpkin. Although an open kebab I felt the need to pick up and savour everything together so ate much of it in my hands. The freekeh was a perfect addition and the lamb koftas were well spiced.
The smoothie tasted familiar and I realised many of the ingredients were what I used to make up for my breakfast. Berries, honey, coconut juice and cocoa (where I used to use chocolate protein). I loved this combination and it was presented really well.
Throughout the meal staff were attentive and helpful, despite being busy and gave me advice to help me with my decision making.
I would hell yeah return here to try something different from there menu another time.
I was lucky enough to dine at Turquoise Eatery by invitation to the Melbourne Foodie Hub and was pretty pumped to try it out as I’d been hearing all about it for some time from various sources.
A really cute little interior with plenty of tempting options I ultimately went for the mango smoothie bowl being a warm day. I loved the coconut to give it that extra tropical feel and there was also plenty of texture from the crunch of the nuts and granola. Topped with lovely fresh fruit this was a very satisfying choice. In continuing the summery theme I chose a cold drink by way of a fresh watermelon and mint juice which was super delicious and refreshing. My partner went for a healthy quinoa and cauli warm chicken salad which also proved highly enjoyable.
The menu also offers many interesting Israeli influences dishes owing to the heritage of the owners which is something a bit different to try. A return visit is most certainly in order to experience more of these unique and intriguing menu items

Cost little cafe in Caulfield South, with a middle eastern inspired menu. The service was great, as was the coffee but most importantly the food was fantastic. Really loved the mango smoothie bowl, it was super refreshing, while the pakoras combined with the various sauces/chutneys were delicious also. We finished off with house made doughnuts, which were nice and fluffy and not too sweet. A great little spot, and puppy friendly too!
Turquoise Eatery in South Caulfield offers Middle Eastern inspired dishes. The owners are originally from the Mediterranean, and wanted to create a cafe with their favourite dishes and mix them with modern Melbourne flavours and high quality ingredients. We came here for brunch on a weekend, keen to try out a taste of the Mediterranean and started off with a matcha latte and long black.
Adventure to the East! Walked out completely satisfied after having lunch at Turquoise Cafe today.
What we had
Eggplant & Feta Shakshuka: This was amazing and hearty. The tomato Sugo was perfect with the pita bread I wish they had more! You can even add a sausage to make it extra tasty.
Lamb Kebab: a new item on the menu! It’s not the average kebab. Definitely a must try.
Pink Panna cotta: The most beautiful Panna Cotta in Melbourne. A lightly infused rosewater yoghurt Panna Cotta on a bright red plate. So delicious and not too sweet.
Atmosphere: Cosy little cafe with a small outdoor area for dog lovers.
Service: super friendly and attentive staff which is always great.
What a pleasant find.
All three dishes we sampled were fresh and nicely presented.
The No Ordinary Benedict was not ordinary indeed, the slow cooked beef ribs was delicious and went well with the eggplant. The boiled eggs were done perfectly with a bit of ooze of the yolk.
The Pink was very light as a dessert dish, would suit those who aren't into super sweet desserts. I really enjoyed the subtle flavour of the pannacotta.
Looks like this place puts a lot of thought into pairing up ingredients and presentation.
Staff gave friendly greetings upon arrival and us leaving, and were attentive throughout. Thumbs up for service. Would recommended.
I tried the new menu @turquoiseeatery we had the avo on toast, the smoothie bowl, a chai latte, berry smoothie, the doughnuts and the pink panacotta!!! All these dishes were super delicious and have so much flavour! The chef here is a cut above, whilst the service are very accommodating and friendly! Highly recommend this spot in the heart of Caulfield😋😋💛
Service: Super accomodating staff, and were happy with me having a full on photo shoot!!!
Instagram worthy: This place has great tables that are colourful and fantastic lighting outside.
Location: Great area, right next to princess park!!!
Despite being disappointed by the fact that the pancakes are no longer on the menu, brunch at Turquoise was excellent. I ended up going for their version of eggs benedict - slow cooked beef short rib, poached eggs, tomato sugo and spiced hollandaise on eggplant. This dish was brilliant. The short rib was the major highlight. The coffee was also really impressive.
The dishes were really nice and flavoursome. The creamed feta on the avo dish was delicious. So different and tasty. The chips were nice but very salty! The service was nice and all the staff were friendly. It had a lovely family atmosphere. Pricey very reasonable!
Update 20/12
Came back for another amazing breakfast and to try their rosewater Panna Cotta and Nutella cream with doughnuts - if you haven’t been here yet you seriously need to get on board!

Loving how many great places are opening or changing it up in the Caulfield area. There's absolutely no excuse not to eat something amazing if you're in that neck of the woods lately. Turquoise Eatery is one such spot, a cute little cafe with a homely feel and a Manager (Owner??) who obviously loves what he does. Family friendly and with some outdoor seating, it's a great spot to settle in for a meal or even for a quick coffee stop.
It's also my new favourite place for hotcakes - hands down! Was excited to visit a couple of weekends ago to try a few things on their menu that dabble in the "different". Hotcakes with marshmallow lemon cream, a whole polenta brick and their 'No Ordinary Benedict'; slow cooked beef ribs on medallions of eggplant - hello breakfast coma. For those looking for something quite hearty, the shakshuka breathes the right amount of spice and the Israeli salad is deceivingly large.
I'm going back for another polenta brick, stat.
What a gem of a cafe this was ! The fusion of middle eastern flavours with classic brunch dishes was well done ! I really enjoyed everything I had here , definitely would recommend this place
Good solid performer. This is a good average restaurant. The down side is I don’t feel the vibe of the atmosphere. This is nestled between a pet food shop and a bakery and the venue is nicely decorated. Simple but standard. The food is a good variety of Israeli and modern cafe food. They seem to serve people quickly, have a good following for the South Caulfeild residents and make reasonable coffee.
The menu could do with a polish up and some new imaginative dishes would be great. Worthwhile try and good simple food. Wouldn’t rush or drive to get here just if in area pop in.
Enjoyed the tastiest spread ever from Turquoise Eatery:
Yogurt Hotcakes with Cinnamon Apple, Cranberry Crumble, Marshmallow Lemon Cream and Pecans can't be missed! Such a delicious combination.
The Shakshuka was fantastic and the Sweet Potato fries were the icing on the cake.
A great little place in Caulfield with traditional Israely food with s modern twist. They make their hummus in house, it had to be the hummus I have ever had in my life. Get to turquoise now.
Turquoise Eatery is not your average cafe. The menu serves up Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences mixed with modern Melbourne brunch dishes. The staff are very welcoming.
We got the eggs benedict which was aptly named "No ordinary benedict"! Instead of serving it with ham and toast, it came with shredded slow cooked beef ribs sitting on eggplant medallions. Even the hollandaise wasn't plain hollandaise, it had creamed feta and tumeric. The flavours all went well together and we had perfectly poached eggs.
I can't get enough of sweet potato fries and the sweet potato fries here are SO GOOD! Crispy and seasoned well without being too oily. The Harissa mayo makes them even better.
If you're looking for something healthy, pick the cauliflower power. Lots of green salad mixed with quinoa. The roasted cauliflower was a great addition.
They are kid friendly with plenty of high chairs, a kid's menu and even crayons for your little one to do some colouring in.
I just love this place. I have now been there three times. The chef is consistently one of the best I have come across with fresh, delicousness in every mouthful which arrives to your table first as a work of art. Service is friendly and attentive. The charred eggplant tahini delight is much more than that. It is inspired! The Rainbow Trout Salad was delicious. Yogurt hotcakes were exquisite. This place is seriously innovative with middle eastern influence front and centre. Hot and cold drinks are expertly made, curated by the barrista as the perfect accompanyment. Ambience is casual and warm. Full marks all round!

Turquoise Eatery is a family friendly local cafe in Caulfield South, that takes inspiration from owners Dror and Yariv’s Mediterranean heritage. Together they have created a warm and welcoming cafe that allows them to share their love of great food and their passion of bringing people together.
Delicious, healthy, gf. Lovely staff, good service. Relaxed atmosphere, great coffee and easy location to park and access. My new local! Highly recommend.

What a great little cafe. First of all I loved the styling the pop of colour. Staff all so lovely and welcoming with big smiles. Great menu to pick from loved the cultural side offering Israeli food. The pancakes were great all the elements worked well together and the marshmallow cream a winner
>🍴 Pancakes with apple, cinnamon, crumble, walnuts + maple syrup AND 🍴Eggplant + feta shakshuka with 2 free range eggs in a rich tomato sugo, accompanied by pita bread AND 🍴Middle eastern pakoras with a beetroot chutney, a drizzle of mint yogurt, perfectly poached egg with house made black olive oil + dukka <
Turquoise eatery is not just a great place for the locals to head down and enjoy a hearty meal, but for anyone who wants to try some delicious food! The staff are very knowledgeable and are helpful in assisting with alterations to the menu or even helping to decide what to order. We are often indecisive about two yummy dishes on the menu, but here we were indecisive about the entire menu! After sending the waitress back a few times because we couldn’t decide, we chose the pancakes, shakshuka and middle eastern pakoras. 🍴The pancakes are incredible! And that is not an exaggeration. They are dense but has so much flavour and really fills you up for the entire day. 🍴The shakshuka tastes so authentic and is really rich in flavour. Both of these dishes we enjoyed very much so we have decided to write a more in depth review on each of them, which will be posted this week, so stay tuned for those. It is so good to see that this menu can be altered to suit dietary requirements, seeming so many places don’t change anything on menus. 🍴We needed to accommodate for a gluten free person and there were endless options of what we could do to the menu to suit these needs. We decided on the middle eastern pakoras, which is very tasty. There is a lot of flavour in this dish and it has a nice blend of spices throughout. The yoghurt smooths all the flavours out and gives the dish a nice creamy texture. The presentation is beautiful and the dish was extremely filling!

Cold morning are coming and this tasty dish from @turquoiseeatery will warm all parts the of tummy 😄 This was the eggplant & feta shakshuka. Usually we don't go for this but the tomato sugo had an amazing flavour and the feta just topped it off, and of course poached egg 👌 Scoop up the leftovers with some pita bread 😋
THE BEST PANNA COTTA I HAVE EVER HAD !! With the 'panna cotta' phase going around, I've tried a lot of good ones but no where near as amazing as Turquoise! Wonderful venue, awesome staff and really good food. I'd add this to my go to list if I was you!!
I ordered shakshuka and it was amazing, staff were friendly and very relaxing atmosphere. The interior is cute too. I like their coffee because it is really smooth. It is good to eat brunch and for catching up friends or spending family time.
This place was buzzing with all the locals and their dogs today. Great little spot for some good food. Coffee was not great. Over powering and a tad burnt. Ordered the rainbow salad which tasted great but not what I expected. I wouldn't call this a rainbow salad at all. Service was a tad slow but to be fair they were busy. Their menu does look impressive and am willing to come back maybe just not for coffee.
Well brewed coffee with a smile.
Absolutely love Turquoise! The service is top notch and the owner is beyond lovely. They really put amazing flavour into every dish. We love their extensive menu, ranging from the much loved smashed avo and baked eggs to Israeli spin on food such as zaatar crusted schnitzel, fries with crumbled feta and Israeli salad taken to the next level. Our favourite was the schnitzel sandwich but we also lovedddd the smashed pumpkin dish and the cauliflower salad. Great coffee too!
Love this place - I drive 65km to have breakfast here! Great coffee - service is awesome - you can't do better than this in the burbs! A credit to the guys running it
Excellent food and inspiring specials! I've been frequenting this place for years and the standard of food has always been consistent. I would say the staff friendliness is good most of the time with the exception of a couple of staff lacking occasionally. Would highly recommend!
Superb food!!!! I couldn't believe a small and unassuming place like this would make such intricate Middle Eastern delicacies, dishes that are incredibly time consuming and require great skill to make.
Had the Cous Cous and Mafrum soup and loved every bite of it. Will definitely be back for more!!!
Loved my "smashed"avo ! Was really delicious 😊. My friend had the challah French toast which was Yummmmy ( she asked for everything on the side as the toppings were very rich )
The staff are welcoming and the service is great ! Will definitely return when next in Melbourne
Great coffee and lovely people!! I'm very lucky to live so close to a cafe that can make an amazing coffee and that is open every day, even public holidays!
Came here for brunch. Staff are super friendly, food is tasty and there is a lot of variety on the menu. Great place to catch up with friends.
A top local cafe with fab staff, smooth coffee and a relaxed vibe. Shakshouka is exceptional and have been lucky enough to nab a three cheese bureka when it's been on the specials board - make sure you get one if you can!
I had my birthday breakfast at your cafe, and you did a sublime job at making my guests feel so welcome!!! The pastries were divine, and the coffees are great! Your menu is great and diverse, and the food was delicious! Thank you for creating a gorgeous table in the front, and for making everything so easy to organize! Thank you! - Nicole Salinger.
This place is sublime. The food is delicious and really well priced, with lots of unique meals with a Mediterranean twist. Cool decor too, will sure be back.
This is my healthy comfort food goto place for lunch. Their Turquoise Israeli salad is well balanced with a side serve of Harrisa chicken, Tahini and warm fluffy pita bread. Lots of variety on the menu with a few specials each week. Highly recommended but note it can get pretty busy on weekends.
We love that place! Food is just amazing! Our favourite is amazing dish with eggplant ! Very special flavour! Great place for breakfast and coffee :)
A lovely little cafe in an area I hardly frequent, but I'm glad we made the trek out. Cute interior: obvious 'turquoise' theme with the chairs and decor and the line of teapots on the wall is a particularly nice touch! Contrary to some of the reviews below, I felt the service was quite good- the service was quite welcoming but perhaps a tad too 'clinical' which may be interpreted by some as unfriendly. We felt very well looked after and no real complaints in that regard. It wasn't particularly busy, so our food didn't take long to come out, which is always a bonus. I had the Israeli salad with a side of smoked salmon- a simple dish which tasted spectacular, and quite a generous serving too. My dining partner had the shakshuka with merguez sausage and spoke very highly of it- had a taste of the sausage which had a delicious earthy flavour. Great menu and would love to come back to try a few of the other options!
I've been meaning to eat here for far too long and now I regret waiting! Great service, wonderful food. The potato Rosti with salmon was 1 of the best I've ever had, winner!
The burger and shashuka is pretty good, but my favourite is the rosti stack! Potato rosti with spinach, smoked salmon, and the hollandaise is great, but add a dollop of sour cream to it, yumm! The interior is pretty cute as well. Service is friendly, as you can expect in a lot of Melbourne cafes.
Great value, amazing food.. Really great experience, and so reasonbly priced. The eggplant dip is incredible, as are the soy chai lattes. Staff are lovely, helpful and attentive. Definitely coming back!
Surprised to see comments regarding friendliness of the owner: we went for a late Sunday breakfast and both the owner and the waitress were abundantly friendly.
I had the Rosti stack which I recommend, well flavored with dill and a bit of sour cream on the side. My companions had the 'We don't smash Avo' which was similarly good.
We'll be back.
Fairly good cafe. A fairly vanilla cafe, standard food choices, ok coffee and friendly service. Not outstanding but perfectly acceptable
Delicious food, fast and friendly service. We had pancake and bruschetta, fresh and delicious. Varied menu, lots of different options. Highly recommended!
Great little spot for a quick bite - friendly faces, good service and a non smash avo toast that is hitting the spot as I’m typing this.
In summary, yum, delicious, simple and easy.
Amazing food and coffee. Friendly staff that were courteous and respectful. When I am back in Australia again... I will definitely come back. Try the shakshuka. Mmm delicious. Thanks.
Great service and a really good ribburger. Infact by the looks of my fellow diners meals they are looked really delicious and with a generous portion
Good service and very nice food. It's always nice when the server greets you with a smile and a few jokes. We felt looked after here. It's a really homey atmosphere filled with rustic decorations and a lot of charm.
Tasty avocado on toast every time. I've also had a waffles special - it was certainly special. Delicious. Friendly staff when they have the time. Often very busy, but still fast turnaround.
Excellent menu with old favourites plus delicious Israeli dishes. Highly recommend the shashushka 👌
Nice coffee and friendly service. Wait staff also great with the kids and dogs bring out crayons and water bowls respectively.
Go check it out, my new favourite local 😎
