Fantastic food and great service. Wish you all the best.
Perhaps the best take on modern, Israeli kosher cuisine in the world right now.
Our evening at Shiloh was an experience of flavours and service unprecedented in Melbourne.
Beautiful food, stunning decor, great vibe! Quality
Well presented and with taste to match!
A bustling happy atmospheric place with superbly cooked tasty food and good attentive service. Perfect for any occasion. Mark and Flo Lewis.
Fantastic dining experience. The only negative which is why I gave it four stars was it was way to noisy. The concrete floors and high ceilings don’t help but what an amazing place added to our kosher eating out scene.
A beautiful place which is sure to be an experience. Food is delicately presented and best to order a variety of smaller meals to share. Would highly recommend giving this place a try to celebrate a special occasion.
First time here after reading the reviews about this place and decided to take my mate to celebrate his birthday here and was not let down by the food and atmosphere. The food was good and the portion was more then enough to fall into a food coma. Will be back again
I don’t give out 5 stars lightly but I was really impressed with dinner at Shiloh. We started with the cauliflower and brussel sprouts (highly recommend) with the lamb shoulder for main (it was flavorsome and delicious). I’ll be back.
I was overseas for the launch party so was lucky enough to be invited to Shiloh last night which I believe is Melbourne’s first fine dining kosher restaurant. Certainly with Matthew Butcher at the helm it can pretty much do no wrong. The interiors were impressive and set the scene perfectly for an all round luxe experience. We were fortunate to be seated right near the open kitchen so do request this if possible so you can observe all the magic happen as the team delicately assembles the intricate plates.
We started with two stellar cocktails date night and the refreshing cucumber and gin concoction with a zataar rim. These accompanied the four course sharing meal we undertook plus a couple of extras. We began with the delicacies and dips course. It sounds simple but I absolutely loved the baba ganoush with pita here. The bread was sensationally seasoned and I adored the creamy perfection of the flavoursome dip (note the menu changed as of yesterday and differs slightly to what you see on Zomato).
The smoked hummus cigar was another wonder of this course and quite the signature dish.
Standouts from the second course, the aged kingfish sashimi for me was faultless. The presentation of this dish and in fact all dishes was an utter art form not to mention the creativity involved in conceptualising some of the offerings and the pumpkin spaghetti with pumpkin essence in particular.
The braised lamb shoulder was my favourite of the third course. It paired perfectly with the minted tahini and pickled raisins. Everyone seems to be pickling just about everything that can be pickled these days but it really did enhance the naturally sweet flavour.
We finished with dessert, firstly with a very intriguing dish of amaretto, coffee ice cream, artichoke cremeux and artichoke crisps. I loved the fabulous textural crunch of the crisps and marvelled at how brilliantly the chef used a vegetable as the hero of a unique dessert.
Our last dish was the very theatrical chocolate and salted peanut tart with gold leaf and nitro passionfruit crumble. This came to the table with aplomb in a cloud of liquid nitrogen. It wasn’t the first time this type of excitement and interaction had been employed, the beef tartare had also been lightly smoked at the table. For me this dessert was a knockout the passionfruit was the perfect balance to the rich, decadent chocolate and quite frankly the fact that they had been able to achieve such a silky texture as a fully kosher dairy free kitchen was astonishing. It may be new to them but they sure seem to be having a lot of fun with it and ultimately nailing it. Exceptional
It was an absolutely amazing experience!! The food was great the ambience was perfect. very friendly staff and great service. great kosher food!!!
Third time at Shiloh Melbourne. It's seriously as good if not better than kosher restaurants anywhere
Fine dining, fantastic service, great decor. Keep it up
10/10. This is an awesome restaurant. The service was spot on. The food was great. The alcohol was tasty and most importantly the food was just delicious. I really could have been anywhere in the world. Portions were on the leanish side but had a great time and look forward to coming again.

We attended the restaurant launch and were treated to samples of their dishes. On arrival we were served their signature gin and cucumber cocktail with a middle eastern twist which went down very easily! The stand outs were their beef tartare, duck terrine and fish croquettes. The fit out, complete with high ceilings and a live hanging garden, is gorgeous. Thanks for having us - we will be back!
So easy to book online. Fantastic service from the time we sat down until we left. Knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. We had the degustation menu which was so tasty and filling - highly recommended. Warm, chic atmosphere. Reasonably priced for fine dining experience. Everybody should go and try it!
We were invited to the launch of the restaurant and what a great night we had. Signature cocktail was fantastic with a touch of spice added to it.
The food was amazing and sampled a lot of the dishes, the sweets were incredible. Looking forward to heading back soon

Shiloh Melbourne was an amazing kosher restaurant, fine dining at its best
Amazing and easily the best kosher restaurant in Melbourne. It is fancy and meals are $5 more then most other places in the shtetl. Alcoholic beverages are really pricy but over all everything was well worth it. Thanks.
We ordered a dinner for two delivered. The food was abundant. Tasty. I am a coeliac and they accommodated their menu for me with gluten free bread and gluten free gnocchi instead of pasta. Will 100% order again!
