Great pizza, very filling but in a wholesome way!! You leave knowing you had a nice treat, but also have a belly full of healthy food! Highly recommend, great options and VEGAN cheese!! Lovely owner :)
Let's just say whenever I think of pizza the first thing that comes into my mind is the vindaloo with nostalis special which just melts from your mouth with every bite. Although I don't live in caulfield anymore, if I were to for any reason Ill be sure to visit and have that combo.
It's that great plain and simple.
Probably the best vegetarian pizzas I've had and you wouldn't even notice that the base was whole meal. Great stuff.

I tried Nostralis’ special UberEats menu (Veganation) and it’s absolutely delicious. Really fresh and healthy, really decent serving sizes. Ordered twice this week and will order again. Not many places offer healthy but tasty meal options via UberEats so this place is a real treat.
OMG the vegan Hawaiian is amazing and soo reminiscent of the traditional version. Also the mushroom pizza is tasty too! Recommended for vegans and non vegans alike

Excellent. Made whole family (some meat eaters) very happy. 4 pizza's for 5 people was plenty. Lots leftover. We loved the pumpkin and feta and the hot spicey pizza in particular. Excellent value. Everyone was full and happy and it felt healthy too!
Nostralis is a vegan/vegetarian heaven! I visited this place with two fussy vegans who came out very full. We all shared a garlic pizza, an artichoke pizza and an asparagus pizza. All bases were gluten free and absolutely scrumptious. The pizzas were tasty and the service was friendly. The only down side is not being able to BYO or drink alcohol there, if you decide to eat in. I would totally recommend this place 🍕
Nostralis has been cooking amazingly good vegetarian pizzas for years & they are always delicious, laden with tasty toppings & mouth-wateringly more-ish. It’s not a place for refined dining, but the casual feel is part of its charm. We LOVE the Mondo, and the Mexican runs a close second. Yum!!!

Pizza is delicious and the owner is such a nice person! The ‘hot’ pizza is very nice as well as the mexicana! To ‘top it all off’ the pizza bases are all wholemeal!!!
Best vegan gluten free pizza I have EVER had! Lovely friendly service! We ordered 2 pizzas and they were happy to change a few things according to my partner and i's dietary needs. We got there and the owner gave us 3 pizzas instead of 2 because apparently he had messed one of them up. It still tastes great, so it was a great surprise to get a free pizza 😊

Very different to your typical vegetarian pizza. This place has a lot of variety and every pizza I've had so far has been full of flavour. Very friendly service and they are more than happy to cater for what you want (and don't want) on your pizza.
We're just finished eating our pizza, I am impressed. Tastes really great, dosen't make feel disgustingly full ,(I had a large sized one) I guess the ingredients these guys use really are showing a difference.

A stalwart in the veggie pizza scene which continues to hit the mark. Love that they offer soy cheese for the lactose intolerant and the whole meal bases. My picks include the artichoke, mushroom and veggie. I'm yet to work up the nerve to try the sultana one :)
Not the not the prettiest place, but what pizza outlet is I guess. It has a nice homely feel though (70's style ;) ) and the staff are really nice and happy to see you.
We visit fairly often but haven't ventured too far through the menu, usually sticking to out favourites, the artichoke and also the margarita topped with Cheesly and extra garlic, mmmmm mmmm. The artichoke can be a little soggy, but it's got heaps of liquid filled veg on top, so it's what you'd expect. The whole meal base is fairly thin, and crispy on the edges, a perfect balance being stable, tasty and not overpowering the goodness of all the topping.
I highly recommend giving this place a shot particually if you are vegan, as a good pizza can often be hard to find.
Definitely my local favourite. Great, friendly and fast service, and love their food. Sometime hard to choose which pizza to go for as I've tried a few of their options and they are all so yummy. But the spinach is one I find very hard pressed to say no to!

I don't generally write food reviews, so it's the big deal of a Vindaloo Pizza at Nostralis that makes it so.
I've eaten pizzas in 30 different countries and this is the top pick! I'm bordering on vegetarianism and this shop has tipped me over the line. My almost vegan wife and friends dragged me there once in 2012, and it's been our savored monthly treat ever since. Well, ok, fortnightly then.
Don't be misled by a negative review, you need to try this food out for yourself. Most pizzas around the world don't rate this well on quality food scale.

Love this place. My family has been coming here for 20+ years. Had the ridotto tonight with a bit of chilli and it was sensational. Also had a mondo and it was great. Seriously good pizza and you feel good afterwards. Will be back again soon!
My favorite pizza joint of all time! A heavy healthy pizza with generous toppings and the best part is it's healthy! I usually go for an Aussie or a Nostralis Special.
Love this place. Gem of a find for vegan pizza. Lots or different topping combinations and from the ones I've tasted, all delicious! I wish they home delivered.
This is a pizza institution in Caulfield! The pizzas are consistently tasty and very gluten free/vegan/vegetarian friendly. My personal favourite is the Nostralis Special and the Mushroom pizza. This place is delightful.

Awesome, unique and healthy-tasting pizzas here!
Most vegetarian food places try but never really succeed to create delicious, wholesome and satisfying versions of their meat-containing counterparts. The pizzas at Nostralis are an exception to this - truly worthy competitors to any pizza place in Melbourne. The wholemeal bases are a unique selling point and really create a memorable and almost craving-inducing taste.
Prices seem to have gone up recently, but are still well worth it. Favourites are the Vindaloo (who would have expected banana on a pizza to be such a winner?), Nostralis Special and Spinach pizza. Staff are very friendly and there is a good selection of "classy" soft drinks available in the fridge and homely wood panelling decor for a dine-in option.
We used to live nearby about 5 years ago, but have since moved more than 10 km away. We'll still happily drive to Nostralis occasionally to get takeaway on a Friday night. One of the few vegetarian places where even meat eaters won't be disappointed!
Not a flashy restaurant but super friendly staff and delicious pizza! Broccoli pizza may sound weird, but give it a go - it's great! Staff are also accommodating to vegans and offer soy cheese, which my parents were thrilled to find out.
I frequently dine in at Nostralis as I thoroughly enjoy the experience, I never get bored as there are well over 20 vegetarian or vegan pizza options. The pizzas are wholesome, unique, healthy and are well worth the money.
Staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is a pizza lover. (Now I'm craving some)

Really good. Good variety and tasty pizzas. The wholemeal base makes it crunchier than white base and the biggest plus is that I feel good after eating here. Doesn't make me feel sick or bloated even after I finish the entire large pizza by myself. :) I guess that shows the quality of ingredients that go in there. Friendly owner and ability to sit there and eat is a big plus.

Probably the best vegetarian pizza in the world. We normally get the special and the mushroom, then sit over in the park watching the ducks and geese swim in the pond, great on a warm summer evening. The only pizza I've ever eaten that didn't make me feel fat and bloated. Simply amazing!

Now that's a tasty pizza. I first discovered Nostralis over twenty years ago, and recall trying to explain to people how amazing this "vegetarian" pizza tasted. I didn't dare use the term "wholemeal", as that would have killed any hope of getting them to try it. I guess when you consider what the average suburban pizza shop offers up as a vegetarian option, it's no wonder folks are somewhat skeptical.
The pizzas at Nostralis really are quite unique, both in terms of ingredients and the generosity of the toppings applied. You certainly don't have to be vegetarian to eat there although once you experience their pizzas, you may reconsider.
It had been a few years since my last visit to Nostralis, so it was a great relief to find the three pizzas I sampled were still exactly as I remembered.
First up, the Mondo, which I think must be their signature dish given the way they pile up the tomato, cheese, mushrooms, bean shoots, onion, capsicum, pineapple and olives. The only slight negative with the Mondo is that the water content from all those ingredients can create a slightly soggy base.
Next up is the Mexicana which features tomato, cheese, Barlotti beans, onion, capsicum and chili. Whilst not incredibly spicy if you're accustomed to spicy food, the chili is definitely present and adds a nice note to this Mexican influenced pizza.
Finally the Mushroom Pizza, comprising tomato, cheese, double mushrooms, garlic & herbs. The ingredients on this pizza may seem simple enough, but the flavour is just divine thanks to the garlic and herbs. I've discovered that adding a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkle of sea salt takes this pizza to another level.
Worth mentioning that Nostralis also offer gluten free pizza bases and soya cheese on request.
Favourite pizza. I am a vegan , my friend told me about nostralis ,last Friday i was there and these pizzas are really perfect had gluten free base whit soy cheese was very tasty and he is making pizza in front of you, you can see all fresh veges using for that
