Great little cafe on Grange Road. They have the best coffee in the area served by very friendly staff. Great muffins and they are made on the premises. They are in the process of renovating next door, as I would think they need the extra space especially for Saturdays and Sundays. Well worth a visit!
Great food! Highly recommend the pulled pork with eggs and hollandaise sauce! Coffee is also up there with the best in the Glen Huntly area!
Granger has its own vibe, cool but not too cool for school, great fit out and i just love the plant life, creates the ultimate chillzone. The food speaks for itself, generous servings, great flavour combos and just bloody good nosh! The coffee is absolute liquid gold so yeah 👌🏼 can’t wait till this place gets licensed so I can have bubbles with breakfast, then granger will be 20/10!!!! Right on guys 👏🏼
I'm a bit of a Glen Eira cafe slut! I've had a go at least once with most of them. So if I go back after the first visit that simply means there is something there I like. If I go back the third time...I want to start a relationship!

Good coffee. Tried the Jaffle with ham, cheese, caramelized onions & pineapple - was ok. Loved the pappardelle, it was so flavorful, yum!
Chorizo & Manchego Croquettes: Absolutely to die for!! So flavourful and the colours were popping off the plate. Also so filling, definitely worth your money!! Definitely one of my favourite brunch dishes. Sadly I believe the dish was only a weekend special.

Fast service, very nice workers. Got a strawberry shake, thought it'd be a rip off, but the size of the drink was definitely almost worth the $7. The drink also tasted very good, not really anything to complain about. Reasonable pricing for a café. Very patient workers, I entered about 30 minutes before closing time, but they were patient with allowing for my meeting to go over time by a few minutes. Thank you!

In the middle of nowhere, yet that’s it appeal. Welcoming minimalistic room with friendly staff. Good coffee and food looked great. I’ll be back to sample. Looks like another great not so secret local.
Beautiful food, beautiful cafe! Such a lovely spot for brekky, out of the hustle bustle. This was easily the best chilli scrambled eggs I’ve had. The flavours really popped and the basil brought a fresh feel to the dish.
Nice and clean and crisp. Great portion size, I went with basic poached eggs and bacon - always a good way to test a place. Yay no vinegar taste to the eggs, and yay 3 pieces of nice and crispy bacon (I hate getting sweaty wet bacon).
Coffee was great, had both a skinny flat white and a skinny moccha. Nice and creamy and thick even with skinny milk.
Service was fantastic, waitress was very attentive and our meals and coffees came out nice and quick.
We will be back. It outdoes everything else in the area.
Didn’t take the dog coz we wanted to eat inside but why did I think it would be quiet in school holidays? Oh well. Got a seat outside (dog was not happy when we got home and told him!) and ordered the brekkie roll, zucchini and pumpkin fritters, short mac and almond mocha.
Huge servings so we could have shared. Brekkie roll was very tasty and I wanted to leave out the aioli and cheese. It was too big as I could only eat half and a little too rich but it was good.
The fritters were great and came with two poached eggs, slaw and salad. Again a huge serve and lovely but I doubt I could’ve gotten through the whole thing.
Drinks were so so; probably the coffee itself. Not to our liking. No fault of the barista.

Fantastic cafe in a great location. Food is always top notch, great flavours that never disappoint. Try the brisket burger or the coconut chicken salad...awesome. This is my local for a reason.
Lovely and bright cafe. Attentive staff despite the holiday season. Coffee is good. Plenty of off street parking. The food tasted as good as it looks! Beware of the step as you enter the cafe. A tripping hazard but apart from this it’s a place to go to.
Some of the best coffee in Melbourne can be found here at Granger. Definitely a local favourite and the food is also served to a high standard and always tastes delicious. If you’re ever nearby, could not recommend more highly.
🍞Butterscotch French Toast: highly recommended here! The cream and the lemon curd matches so well with the toast! Love the honeycomb that adds crunch to the dish!

I got a Breakfast Bowl and a soy latte.
I had previously visited the cafe for coffees but wasn't quite happy with the flavour then but was pleasantly surprised this time round as my soy latte was quite good! Creamy, did not taste too much like plain soy milk or burnt coffe. Just the right ratio of flavours.
The Breakfast Bowl was also quite tasty too. The salad was fresh and well seasoned. The dressing is not overpowering and quite light in flavour so if you want your dressing to cover the taste of kale, then this is not for you.
Only down point was the poached egg as I prefer mine with a running yolk... it was more a soft boiled egg.
Was pretty happy with my experience. Enough to make me want to go in person next time.
Beautiful presentation and yummy food. Ambience is warm and welcoming. This is the much needed cafe for the area between Carnegie and Glenhuntly on a lazy Sunday. Parking is limited unless you can find free parking on a side street.
After driving past this Granger nearly on a daily basis it was time to stop the car and give them a try. Glad I did! Banana smoothie was thick and full unlike many smoothie options in the area.
The bagel was soft, meat was nice and the mustard and pickles brought it all together. Will definitely be back.
Have my morning "on the way to work" coffee here. Consistent good coffee and friendly service (no matter what day). Respect the fact they have a good amount of news papers scattered around to peruse while waiting for coffee.

Granger is a welcomed addition to this area. Gorgeous interior with a cool fresh feel. Coffee is consistently great, especially since they have single origin beans for black coffee. Food is wholesome, and fresh.
Very friendly and attentive staff, bottomless batch brew was delicious! Lovely bright cafe with modern interior, enjoyable sitting on the window-facing bench area on a sunny Saturday morning. Seeded toast with poached eggs and minted avocado smash, a simple dish but executed perfectly, my husband had the fritters with bacon and thoroughly enjoyed his dish as well, definitely recommend! This was our second time at Granger and will come again.
Not bad... breakfast roll is quite nice... I only have ordered through Uber eats and it always comes a little cold... I'm sure it would be better to dine in.
With a clean and crisp modern Decor, the appearance of Granger is much nicer to look at than the rubbish pit that was there before. Staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is small and the food is tasty. Not the cheapest place to eat but nice for a treat now and then.
This is a great cafe. Drove past this place today so I finally decided to stop and drop in for a quick early breakfast and ordered the avocado smash and it tasted awesome. It came with perfectly cooked poached eggs and a beetroot hummus which was very tasty. Chai latte was very good also. Definitely coming back here - started to get busy when I was leaving so I would say get there early if possible.
This is a terrific little cafe. Have been a few times since it opened and it gets better each time. Originally if you wanted a large coffee they only had takeaway cups this has now been changed. I would have to say the only problem is the similar sounds of two menu items - my (non-health thinking) teenager ordered the Breakfast Roll (bacon & egg) but got the way too healthy looking Breakfast Bowl by mistake. Rather than send it back I swapped it for my Chicken Sandwich, which was evidently delicious from the speed it disappeared. This fortunate mistake led to the discovery of the BEST cafe brunch I've ever had. I've ordered similar brekky bowls at several other cafes since, but have decided that only Granger gets it absolutely perfect - a blend of textures and flavours that literally POP. Try it - you won't be disappointed. It can get fairly noisy due to the Ikea like decor and feel, but the food is worth it, and the staff are friendly.
The dishes were very filling and delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and there was a good inside and outside sitting area. The dishes were average prices but there was large portion sizes making it worth the money.
The fritters were absolutely amazing - but you do need to add a side of avocado. And service was very good as well - very attentive and accommodating to changes. Would 100% come back next weekend. Coffee was delicious as well.

Coffee and muffin breakfast on the way home this morning and we spotted a newish ( 3 months old ) Granger Cafe & Canteen.
Coffee was brilliant, made with love and understanding.
Muffin was enjoyable however mixture was on the verge of getting a little tough.
Maybe too much handling of the dough.
Filling of fruit and chocolate well balanced and generous.
Well worth a stop here with a great amount of parking on Grange Road.

Great little cafe in Carnegie. Nice decor , terrific service and helpful staff. Not an extensive menu but my smashed avocado was delicious. Just my coffee was lukewarm. Will definitely try again.
Nice fit out and glad to see they're expanding into next door, as we had to sit outside. Thankfully it wasn't too cold as there's no heating.
The staff were friendly and smiley and the service was quick. It seemed a bit noisy inside when I went to pay.
Mr Choos thought his long black was a bit on the bitter side, but that's his fault for drinking it black in the first place. My flat white was perfect.
My smashed avo and eggs was really tasty and filling. He had the chilli eggs and wasn't able to finish it all. He thought the many different ingredients made it taste a bit 'complicated'. I think he was just having a moany day.
We will definitely be back to try something else, as the menu looked great.

I don't think your tastebuds have lived until you try their Couscous salad! The Israeli couscous reminded me of mini clouds of fluffy gnocchi, the veggies were roasted to absolute PERFECTION- and considering I'm not at all a fan of spice, I could definitely handle this rather well :) It's a bit of a shame the purée requires butter because this dish could so easily be dairy- free/ vegan friendly but other than that no complaints whatsoever. The staff were accomodating, friendly and super kind!
Walked in (on a busy Sunday morning) and we were immediately greeted with a cheerful hello from the barista. Almond cappuccino was amazing (hard to pull off) and the food was delicious. This cafe skips the pretentious hipster vibe with fresh minimalistic decor and a friendly positive attitude from staff. This will definitely become a regular spot for us.

The butterscotch pancakes are not to be missed when visiting this cafe! The presentation was on point and the flavors all complimented each other perfectly. The addition of fruit really brightened up the dish and helped to make the pancakes just that tiny bit more healthy 😋
The fritters were cooked to perfection as well as the two poached eggs. The seasoning gave it a delicious flavour
The salmon nourish bowl was a great, nutritious, healthy option. It was visually pleasing and tasted delicious!
The croquettes were very yum! A delicious and mostly guilt free dish that had everything you’d need for a full hearty meal.

Have been wanting to try this cafe since watching the transformation over the last few months. So impressed with the new fit out & clever makeover, the space is bright & fresh with friendly down-to-earth lovely staff. My husband and I were both very happy with our meals, I had the brekkie bowl which to me, was perfect. Fresh, tasty & filling. My husband had The Granger which he thoroughly enjoyed & would order again. Overall, great new cafe, exceptional coffee and the perfect relaxed friendly neighbourhood vibe.

This new cafe is a must go for locals in Carnegie ! Having driven past the run down premises for years it's been transformed into a beautifully fitted out space with welcoming staff who are happy to please . My husband had the chilli eggs which were a hit & I had smashed avocado - fabulous & the coffee was exceptional . Definitely worth the visit
Lovely little cafe with a comfortable and friendly vibe. Despite having a bit of a wait for a table the staff were very accommodating and made a genuine effort to squeeze us in. I ordered the twice baked french toast with vanilla custard and italian cream cheese. The French toast was beautifully soft and light and the custard was phenomenal- just wish there was more of it! According to my fellow dinners the breakfast roll was an excellent choice as well.

A great new local. Excited to have this gem in the area. Diverse and innovative menu. Had the beef brisket sandwich and lamb salad. Both very flavorsome and well presented. Chilli eggs looked great, will be trying next time. Coffee spot on too. Staff were friendly. Will be bustling in no time!! Looks like an expansion might be in the works too.
Was looking for a place to grab lunch that day and so we visited Granger Cafe, a local cafe that’s just walking distance from us.
Usually it’s very busy, but luckily we managed to get a table right when we arrived. My friend said the French Toast was delicious. At first, I was quite hesitant about getting a gnocchi dish at a breakfast cafe, but after having a taste, I did not regret it at all.
Very impressed and would love to come back again to try other dishes!
Having driven past Granger on many occasions but never having called in, I was in need of a quick coffee on my way out. I was very pleased to not only find them really quick (without being asked!) but also making a great HOT coffee, just the way I like it!
